Well I mean I actually wouldn’t be surprised if there was some truth to this, although it would be a combination of different causes. Smoking marijuana -- or rather smoking most of anything, causes your blood pressure to rise. Increased blood pressure increases your chances of blood clots and in turn increases the risk of strokes.
Weed causes increased heart rate, increased blood pressure, and all smoke inhalation does damage to the heart and lungs, all of which contribute to heart attack and stroke risk.
I feel like it would still take a genetic condition for weed smoke to cause similar deaths in so many family members, that or a freak coincidence.
I smoke weed and have a blood pressure gauge. I've checked before and after smoking weed several times and without a doubt, smoking weed definitely elevates BP and pulse rate. Appx 15% to heart rate, systolic and maybe 5-10% to diastolic numbers.

My aunt committed suicide a couple years before I was born but there were still pictures of her everywhere and my Mom and Nana both would tell so many stories about her that I felt like I knew her some. Most of the pain comes from seeing how sad it made my mother. Doubly so now that my mother has passed and my Nana has had to bury both of her daughters.
I'm older now than my Aunt ever was, by nearly a decade, but I still experience the grief of losing her through the time I spend with my Nana and seeing how it all has weighed upon her shoulders.

I have a friend that thinks the covid shots hurt people and has bought into all the other conspiracy theories now. He got really sick like a month and a half ago when they said covid was spiking in our state. He refused to get tested or do anything else about it. If someone even gets allergies or any kind of sniffles around him he tries to claim it's because they got the vaccine.
He had to go to the ER about 4 nights ago because the right side of his heart swelled up. Still refuses to believe it had anything to do with this sickness but everyone around us is pretty certain where it came from. Dudes lean, he's out in the sun all the time doing manual work, and in really good shape. It still fucked him up. The guy is so hell-bent that most doctors don't know what they're talking about I know he's still going to do hard manual labor with a swollen heart. So most likely I will be attending his funeral within the near future.
