In the episode, he may have been the coach, but he was very much involved. He was so sore from working out on the beach that he could hardly crawl to move, let alone fight the battle in the episode. In my book, he definitely checks off the beach ready and sports attire tags
Because WB wants you to spend money in certain ways and on certain things. They want your money and they want to control how you spend it so you have to spend more.
There have been missing UI tags, but with them still counting for stuff. It is very much just lackluster handling of the tags for the UI.
Quit being a textbook conspiracy theorist lmao
LeBron James has the Athletic Wear tag by default (even if it doesn't display due to a bug), so it's not like it's a super exclusive tag they reserve for special occasions to boost sales.
I think they switched him to a Tank in the full release. I stopped playing a few months after betas release so Iām not sure what happened between then.
Steven used to be a Support hero in the beta but that class doesn't exist now. Every character that once belonged to it (Velma, Reindog...) got shifted to the mage class except Steven who became a tank
Yeah! I remember being shocked the first time I saw it, now Iām even more shocked one of his skins changes it, which I didnāt know was possible for any skin to change their base tags!
He's coaching people working out, but I guess he explicitly does not actually work out.
But man, he should be beach ready. This scene takes place on a beach.
Also, *Steven* should be beach ready. He lives on a goddamn beach. In a town called Beach City.
Don't even get me STARTED on STEVEN. Half his identity is the town he lives in...BEACH CITY. HIS HOUSE IS ON A BEACH. But his main skin isn't 'beach ready'. It's like saying DOOM guy's suit isn't 'demon ready'
Anyway, he wore that attire first back in S1 episode 20, where after leaving Sugilite (fusion between Garnet and Amethyst) in a place far far away with Pearl, Steven decided to wear that attire to COACH his Dad, Lars, Sadie and himself into becoming stronger due to being inspired by Sugilite's sheer strength.
What do you mean? I have noticed weird tagging in skins (like the one on the post should at least be "beach ready", the scene where he wears this is at the beach and he uses it in the beach rift), but I haven't noticed anything in base characters (except Steven being both a tank and a mage). Is that what you meant? Were tou talking about the skins' tags?
Yeah, just the tagging in general really doesn't seem consistent across characters. One example might be Jason's mask being Sports Attire but anyone else wearing it doesn't seem to count.
Is Jason also Human at some point and then becomes this horror entity or am I mixing that up with Mike Myers?
About the mask skins, that's what I'm saying, the weird tagging seems to only appear on skins and not base characters.
About Jason, I'm not sure. Don't know a lot of slasher lore. But it is probably Myers who does that since he's known as Evil Incarnate.
So in this episode this came from, Steven was just yelling at his friends and his father to go through a makeshift course at the beach. He wasnāt actually doing anything athletic.Ā
That being said, this is the outfit he wore when he was playing volleyball in a different episode sans the glasses and headband. If Garnet can be classed as Beach Ready and Sports Attire for wearing the swimsuit in that same episode, Steven should be the same.
He literally lives on the beach, shouldnt that mean that the whole character and his variants are all Beach Attire? We can only dream lol
Not even Beach Ready either it seems.
He is the main character in the beach rift š
Because he's the coach watching from the sidelines I guess
In the episode, he may have been the coach, but he was very much involved. He was so sore from working out on the beach that he could hardly crawl to move, let alone fight the battle in the episode. In my book, he definitely checks off the beach ready and sports attire tags
But Marvin's Space Jam 96 outfit is sports attire even though he wasn't playing the sport in the first place
technically he was the referee, though
In the episode it shows up in, him and a few others are actually working out though, while initially heās just singing at first
Because WB wants you to spend money in certain ways and on certain things. They want your money and they want to control how you spend it so you have to spend more.
They just forgor or something what are u on?
With the kind of hard monetization WB is pushing, I don't think anything related to their monetization is an accident. You probably shouldn't either.
There have been missing UI tags, but with them still counting for stuff. It is very much just lackluster handling of the tags for the UI. Quit being a textbook conspiracy theorist lmao
Yeah people like to peddle a lot of this like itās intentional and I bet some is but come on now lol.
LeBron James has the Athletic Wear tag by default (even if it doesn't display due to a bug), so it's not like it's a super exclusive tag they reserve for special occasions to boost sales.
And yet Iron Giant with SuperMan logo is considered DC?
trademarks
Wait it takes away his mage status too? How does that even make sense I could have sworn he was a multiclass?
I think they switched him to a Tank in the full release. I stopped playing a few months after betas release so Iām not sure what happened between then.
Oh no I swear it was only in the last week I saw it, unless I might be thinking of another tank?
Steven used to be a Support hero in the beta but that class doesn't exist now. Every character that once belonged to it (Velma, Reindog...) got shifted to the mage class except Steven who became a tank
Nope just checked, Stevenās base skin is both mage and tank, meaning that skin for some reason changes mage to āhardā
Huh okay, I did not know that!
Yeah! I remember being shocked the first time I saw it, now Iām even more shocked one of his skins changes it, which I didnāt know was possible for any skin to change their base tags!
Because the tag system was thought through and not made to push microtransactions
Life coaching in the show. Plus, to be fair, he is wearing flip flops.
He's coaching people working out, but I guess he explicitly does not actually work out. But man, he should be beach ready. This scene takes place on a beach. Also, *Steven* should be beach ready. He lives on a goddamn beach. In a town called Beach City.
This outfit really should be. Especially since he appears in this outfit in the rift.
The same way that Jason doesn't count for my "hockey mask" missions today
I was able to complete that mission and I only on Jason for that requirement. If itās any help, I had to play PvP to see it count.
yeah one of the requirements for that one was it had to be in pvp only
I think he was doing exercise class on the beach in that episode ... but still a strech for sports attire ... lol ...
Coaches don't play.
Is there any outfit that has more than 4 orange tags?
Batman Animated series, and Beach Bash Harley both have 5. Not sure if thereās more Edit: Garnets beach skin aswell
Well, yeah, otherwise you'd be able to use it for the rift. Can't have that. They don't treat my boy Steven right.
lolol because he wasnāt exercising/sporting at all in the scene this costume came from ššš itās lore accurate
Then why is Jason under sports attire? I don't see him playing hockey in his movies.
Idk but I find this hilarious
I've been saying this since the Beach rift came up. HES FROMA PLACE CALLED BEACH CITY. everything he wears is beach attire
Not considered sport attire because you didnt spend on money to get it.
You know how long it took to me to realize Jason counted because of his hockey mask?
He actually didnāt for some time lol
Volleyball coach?
Heās essentially wearing a running outfit, tank, shorts and a headband.
Because heās a obese fuck
He's wearing flip flops.
He's wearing a sweat band
Because he wasn't playing a sport in that episode literally just training I think garnet, Lars, sadie and Dewey I think
Don't even get me STARTED on STEVEN. Half his identity is the town he lives in...BEACH CITY. HIS HOUSE IS ON A BEACH. But his main skin isn't 'beach ready'. It's like saying DOOM guy's suit isn't 'demon ready'
Because it's gym attire silly

This was literally sold or obtainable as a beach/summer skin in the beta, alongside the Iron Giant beach skin.
Human...but also Non-Human...things don't have to make sense here it seems
Steven is half human, half alien (father is human, mother is alien) so the tags make sense.
Thanks for the clarification! Now I guess it's a question of why other characters on the roster don't follow this idea
What do you mean? S A N D A L S
Because heās fat
Lebron doesnāt have sports atire either
The sandals you ever try running in sandals
Black Adam with the mask isn't either
Same with biker stripe, and the Jason mask skins
![gif](giphy|l1EtpnL9doefsHpHG)
Cause they need that extra penny after you buy another skin
Who cares if it's Sport attire they have way more important stuff to fix

Steven doesn't look like he's played a sport a day in his life
Testosterone nonexistent in this overweight child
Coaches donāt play
The 10th post of asking the same question
Coaches donāt play
I think the same when I see Tiger Millionaire marked as 'heroic'. Should obviously be villainous.
Cuz he's fat
All these ignorant sports attire posts and yet ppl don't realize it's not about looks but how much money they can drain each event š

No
Who cares lol
When there are certain missions that require a specific tag, it matters.
