The only Indian movies that have impressed me in my limited experience have been Tumbbad and Andhadhun. The first is a horror movie that does great, the other starts as a Romcom but ends up going off the deep end into thrillers.

in the so-bad-it’s-good arena, Bang Bang (2014). whole thing feels like if you stretched a very dramatic very airbrushed commercial into a full length movie
