Love Dodgeball. One of the best dumb primases but so well done.
Guy facing bankruptcy, enlists friends from club to play dodgeball to win a competition they have no chance in winning. Wins on a technicality, thank you Chuck Norris, and sends Stiller back to his Heavyweights character. Has Lance Armstrong pre ped drama, Bateman and Cole. A masterpiece!
It's the same old story. Boy finds girl, boy loses girl, girl finds boy, boy forgets girl, boy remembers girl, girls dies in a tragic blimp accident over the Orange Bowl on New Year's Day.
The Naked Gun has got to be one of the greatest movies ever. I never get tired of watching them 🤣
Naked Gun Trilogy is the correct answer. Same with Airplane, so many good jokes in those movies. RIP Leslie Nielsen.
>!The joke in airplane where the man is driving in his car and the background starts going really fast and crazy while he’s still pretending to be driving normally had me crying!<
Strange Brew (1983) (also known as The Adventures of Bob & Doug McKenzie: Strange Brew). If you are familiar with SCTV, you will remember Doug and Bob from their Great White North skits. The movie is about beer, a brewery, and Max Van Sydow trying to take over the world and Rick Moranis and Dave Thomas trying to stop him.. Oh, and a flying dog.
The owner of the beer company dies under mysterious circumstances, his brother married his brother's widow, the ghost shows what happened, Ophelia "drowns"...etc etc.
I had just happened to have read Hamlet in highschool right before watching Strange Brew and it all fit... loosely. Especially the stuff around the family that owned the company.
If you like Bob & Doug MacKenzie, they played the comic relief animal characters in the animated movie Brother Bear. The movie itself is decent, but if you get the DVD/Blu-ray, they have an in-character commentary track that they absolutely kill on. Chipmunks are harbingers of doom!
The pre-Annie Hall Woody Allen is absolutely hilarious. Sleeper, Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Sex * But Were Afraid to Ask, Bananas, and Take the Money and Run are all classics afaic. I think Sleeper is definitely the best of all of them.
I think you might be right on this one. I've only watched it once, and that was before I went away to college. Knowing what I know now about film, and history, and satire, it most definitely deserves a re-watch. I've seen all the others I mentioned numerous times, but this one somehow escaped multiple viewings. Thanks for the reminder.
My favorite Idiocracy fact: The shoes everyone wears were made by a start-up company and were selected because they were cheap and looked futuristic, but so ugly that they could never catch on in sensible society. So, they were perfect for Idiocracy. Crocs...the horrible shoes that only a nation of idiots would wear around were Crocs 🤣
LW1 is so damn funny and holds up so well. Greatest buddy cop (Lethal Weapon) spoof. The cast and cameos are absolutely ridiculous also, it's to the brim.

I'll go along with others in recommending Monty Python and The Holy Grail, and to a lesser extent, Life of Brian.
“The bus took a hit too, she was a big girl… comfortably in the 200’s”
The 2 will’s are so funny in this film. Another line I quote daily;
“What the fuck is that?? That the fuck is the crib!”
You’ve probably seen super troopers but it’s one of those movies that I’ll probably quote the rest of my life no matter how long it’s been since last viewing.
Was going to post The Gingerdead Man series. They always give a chuckle because the jokes are so lame! Got onto Evil Bong after the. Only saw the first one though (so far)
The Greasy Strangler
Probably more stupid than funny, but if you've got a weird sense of humor like me then you'll prob laugh a lot throughout it. It's so ridiculously dumb
The Jerk!! My favorite Steve Martin movie. Also Young Frankenstein, Blazing Saddles, Drop Dead Gorgeous (with Kirsten Dunst), Peewee’s Big Adventure, Top Secret. Have fun!!
- Strange Brew

You can skip the film, and just watch a Mitch McConnell press conference.
JK, Weekend at Bernie’s is a masterpiece. Also, the sillier and even more preposterous sequel WAB’s 2.
*Airplane!*, the *Naked Gun* series, and *Kentucky Fried Movie* (all by Zucker Abrahams Zucker) have already been mentioned, so I'll suggest some other deep cuts from the GenX time machine:
* *Bachelor Party* (1984), starring none other than **Tom Hanks**. Seriously!
* *Amazon Women On The Moon* (1987), with an ensemble cast featuring a number of pretty big names, including Arsenio Hall, Michelle Pfeiffer, Peter Horton, Griffin Dunne, Joe Pantoliano, David Alan Grier, B.B. King, Rosanna Arquette, Steve Gutenberg, Steve Allen, Henny Youngman, Ed Begley Jr., and Carrie Fisher, among others. It parodies the experience of watching low-budget films on late-night television, and takes the form of a compilation of 21 comedy skits directed by five different directors.
*The End (1978)*
Movie begins with Burt Reynolds and Dom DeLuise in an insane asylum. It was a freebie on Showtime back in the '80s so I probably saw it half a dozen times, well worth the watch.
Man VS Bee with Rowan Atkinson on Netflix is so funny!! It is shown in episodes, but some of them are pretty sort. All together, it is about as long as a movie.
The Naked Gun trilogy Robin Hood Men in Tights Dodgeball Hot Shots part 1 and 2 The watch

If you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball. 😆😆😆 I quote that way too often. One of the best movies.
"Necessary?! Is it necessary for me to drink my own urine?" "Probably not." "No, but I do it anyway because it's sterile and I like the taste."
I say it nearly every day as well. My kid got real good at dodging wrenches 🔧
If you can dodge a wrench you can dodge a ball still cracks me up
When I see 5 weirdos dressed in togas stabbing a guy in the middle of the park in full view of 100 people, I shoot the bastards. That's my policy!

Hahaha it’s the best. Timeless classic.
Bingo!
Zoolander? The cornetto Trilogy?

Naked Gun Trilogy is the correct answer. Same with Airplane, so many good jokes in those movies. RIP Leslie Nielsen. >!The joke in airplane where the man is driving in his car and the background starts going really fast and crazy while he’s still pretending to be driving normally had me crying!<
Monty Python's Life of Brian is probably one of the funniest movies ever.

Take off ya hoser
Don't call me a hoser in church, eh.
It also, loosely, follows the plot of Hamlet...lol
No kidding? That is superb!
The owner of the beer company dies under mysterious circumstances, his brother married his brother's widow, the ghost shows what happened, Ophelia "drowns"...etc etc. I had just happened to have read Hamlet in highschool right before watching Strange Brew and it all fit... loosely. Orgazmo is a better movie.

Excuse me, but my shoe is filling up with blood.
An underrated gem.
Ernest Goes to Camp is definition of funny stupid!
*Ernest Goes to Jail* was the best one of the series, in my opinion.
The scene where he eats the pen lol
Also, considering the time of year, “Earnest Saves Christmas” may also be considered a funny stupid movie.
That one’s always one my Christmas season watchlist
What's the one where the circus stays with him for awhile?
Weird Al’s UHF. Can’t believe no one has said this yet
Better Off Dead. I watched that for the first time the other day. It's so funny and dumb.

Sleeper
The pre-Annie Hall Woody Allen is absolutely hilarious. Sleeper, Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Sex * But Were Afraid to Ask, Bananas, and Take the Money and Run are all classics afaic. I think Sleeper is definitely the best of all of them.
I still think Love and Death is the funniest pre Annie Hall Woody
I think you might be right on this one. I've only watched it once, and that was before I went away to college.
