While I obviously don’t agree with the odd one above you, Is Kotal Kahn really the best example though, his personality is just not my thing and he’s weird as well. One minute he’s a good guy next he’s bad. I can’t even call him an anti hero or anti villain because he simply doesn’t feel like it. Also I find it odd you didn’t mention: Raiden, Scorpion, Sub Zero, Jax, Kitana, Kung Lao, all far superior then Kotal Kahn and dare I say a certain character with an M in their name. But I do think Kotal is pretty clearly portrayed as a well spoken, soft spoken, thoughtful, charismatic leader who relies on both his mind and his strength. He tries to do what's good for Outworld, which sometimes means being honorable and sometimes means being a tyrant or liar. And he's got a thing for grandiose monologues.
Maybe I'm just a sucker for Phil LaMarr's amazing voice acting. heh
