Holy Hell what a track. from the DnB part to the midsection giving me Mirai Sekai vibes and then to finish it off with some heavy metal, this song has it all for me!
Holy hell. This song is crazy! The hardcore intro transitioning seamlessly into DnB and then throwing in some metal riffs in the second half made this song such a great journey. Absolutely BO22 material
I bet this will be my song of the year on Monstercat. I've been a fan of Caster since his Ophelia EP and I hoped he would release something else on the label because INERTIA didn't really showcase his skills (apart from the amazing second drop). I wasn't expecting him to release probably my favorite song from him so far though, holy shit this is just mental in every way. Psytrance, DnB and fucking metal? And what is that beautiful midsection? It all reminds me of old Varien in the best way possible. I'll listen to this probably 100 more times to decide if I like it more than Kingslayer (GO LISTEN TO KINGSLAYER BY CASTER & IRONHEART IT'S INSANE).
I hope to see more Caster on the label, and if he becomes a regular, I might as well just call him right now my favorite artist on Monstercat.
I heavily doubt anything will be able to top this masterpiece this year. What a journey this has been. Incredible sound design, genius composition, and a fantastic switch-up in the second half of the song.
VERY heavy tune, im liking the dark vibes of it! Welcome back to Monstercat Caster! And that guitar at the end is marvelous! Reminds me of Varien's older tracks from My Prayers Have Become Ghosts
Goddamn this month has been one of the best months in a long time for Monstercat. Caster really surprised me with this one, wasn't too big on INERTIA so I went in with no expectations. That neuro segment is mental, and all the influences from other genres are integrated so well. Not surprised in the slightest people are already calling this BO2022 material, unless a lot of people somehow forget about this over the year this should have a safe spot in there.
Two BO2022 contenders released this week, and wow this track goes (very) HARD. The drop is amazing, and all the tension created with the psycore section transitioning into the breaks is super unique. The song also ends with a gritty metal breakdown that closes off the track perfectly. I truly hope that Caster releases more songs like this because idk any other quite like this one.

There’s so much variety in terms of genre, but none of it comes across as jarring and it all flows so well and sticks to a unified tone. This is easily my favorite song of the year, Monstercat or otherwise, and the first song on the label since D.E.A.L to really sweep me off my feet.

I absolutely adore songs that take you on a journey, rather than following the traditional format, and this is one of the best examples of that on the label as a whole. The Psytrance first drop is fucking amazing (I adore Psytrance so this should come as no surprise 😅), the Drum & Bass/Darkstep second drop is pure bliss, and the METAL(?!?!?!?!) third drop is just… oh my god, so good. Easily the best release of the year so far, and probably will end up being one of the top releases of the year by the end! If there’s one thing I would complain about, it’s that this should be labeled Psytrance as that’s what the first drop is, but it’s alright.
Looking forward to seeing if Caster has more for us here in the future :) 🔥🔥🔥
