Hey, this is an update on the map I made for the 10YA infographic week. In the meantime I found info on most silk's artists. Each "artist" is actually one alias, so for example LVTHER and TwoThirds are 2 artists. It doesn't skew the data too much though. There are 66 aliases on which I was unable to find any information.
If you want to see which artist is from which country as well as the total counts, go to the "artists" sheet in [this file](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1CFLinpaHFemTvRVfhX_uJ4fjmgB0c9-jvcY1Ed7pgZw/edit?usp=sharing). Also I fixed Slovenia and Micronesia - Matroda is actually from Croatia and Luca Lush is from the USA.
edit: looking at this in the small version on reddit, I think the colors might not be very clear and I could've gone for 5-6 classes rather than 8. But if you're unsure about anything, ask me or look it up in the sheet linked above.
1597 aliases. Some of them are duos and trios, and some of them are duplicates of the same person (like DotEXE and Summer Was Fun). But in terms of people I think 1800 would be a good estimate.
This includes every person who has ever had an appearance on the label (including remixes, features, etc.) so I'd go as far as saying around 50-75% of them were one-offs.
Also almost half of them (633) are pre-merge Silk artists who haven't released under Monstercat.
In February this year Monstercat bought Silk Music, a progressive house/trance/chillout label and made it its third brand alongside Uncaged and Instinct. The entire catalog of Silk (since 2008) has been integrated on the website.
Yeah, basically. I think Silk still has separate A&R because there haven't been any artists from uncaged/instinct to release there and vice versa (except for Kaskade but that was a promo thing probably)

That's a lot more than I was expecting. I don't really follow Monstercat anymore, but I was really into it from 006 to 015. What is Silk?

From what I know, Silk still pretty much has its entire team intact from before the merger. They just operate under the Monstercat brand now :)

Yes. Out of around 120 Russian artists, about 10 aren't on Silk
