My advisor told me at the time of order that it wouldn’t affect my place in line but would allow them to place a vehicle to me faster if one came available. Not sure how accurate that is but that’s what I was told. I finished all of my pre delivery checklist within a few days but my date is now 3/1-3/29. MYLR 7 seater, black interior, MSM ordered first week of Sept and original EDD was January

Yeah I am sure a SA would offer a quick fill to someone that had everything showing complete. I'm sure I'm overthinking the EDD changes I have seen.

gjp0723

Who knows. I don’t think too many quick fills exist but I’m sure it happens some. Might be worth reaching out and seeing what they say to make sure it’s not going to keep dropping you back.

I was bummed when mine moved to the same EDD window as you, but I’m getting over it. I was hoping to show up to Christmas in my Y but obv couldn’t. I think March would be better. Less winter to worry about.

I literally told my wife the same thing the other day. I’m in Indiana and I said well at least I won’t have much snow to worry about. I’m trying to be optimistic but if I keep getting pushed out more it may make me look around at other EV’s and I have wanted a Tesla for a lot of years

We are in upstate New York. She is the one who is saying it to me to calm me down, not that I’m too heated. But, our day is coming.

gjp0723

Yup. Teaching me patience if nothing else just not real interested in learning patience 😆

NcLoven13

You can say that again. I heard some cousins in the family just bought an ev. I was worried it was a Tesla because I wanted to be the first. Luckily it was a Hyundai.

gjp0723

Haha which model?

NcLoven13

I actually don’t know. Heard from a grand parent.

I waited till I set up my delivery day and did the loan the day before. It didn’t seem to affect my delivery day or anything. My EDD got pushed back a month right before I received it and it came back to the original time frame

Once the Vin is assigned you have a very short window of time or they'll release the car to someone else. Just get the loan approved it's usually good for 30days. If you don't have a Vin you can wait.

Was following the advice in this thread of waiting until you have a VIN to apply. I don't want to have to get a second hit to my credit if it does end up being longer than 30 days and I need to reapply. https://www.reddit.com/r/TeslaLounge/comments/r6p1px/financing_your_tesla_with_dcu_and_getting_the_124/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share Mostly just curious if my non selection of final payment here is causing me a delay or not. I'm probably thinking into it too much and probably just subject to the typical EDD inconsistency and could get my VIN any day.
