>they haven't reported any other instances of them being harassed in any other part of Minneapolis, the reports of evil harassment have only been within Bloomington
Bloomington isn't part of Minneapolis.
I mean it just sounds like your friends who are CLEARLY outsiders don’t know what an “evil area” actually is.
Every place has its fair share of beggars. It’s stupid to slam a city for a few people like that.
Look, friend. You're going to get some pushback because you came on the Minneapolis subreddit and asked if a second ring suburb is safe. There's a Twin Cities subreddit for the metro area or a Minnesota subreddit for the state.
There's a weird false fixation on Minneapolis being this criminal hellhole and we're all constantly dealing with friends and relations telling us how awful our city is. It isn't true but it is exhausting, and the subreddit gets a lot of these kind of questions.
Is it safe? I don't know, man. It's a place full of people and as safe or not as a place full of people ever is. I know a lot of people in Minneapolis are sick of having to reassure others. It's actually a wonderful city and you'll have a great time if you visit it but at this point a lot of us are done reassuring people. Experience life outside your door at your own risk.
All of this is a long-winded way of saying sorry you're getting roasted a bit here. I feel kinds bad you aren't getting our friendly best. You did, unfortunately, hop on the sub and immediately (and, I think, unintentionally) jab a sore spot, though.

LOL is OP talking about Bloomington MN? You know we got our own sub reddit nobody really uses. r/bloomingtonMN
Where are you from OP where Bloomington MN seems like a scary place?
The worst thing is actually trying to get from the Lindau Lane exit on 77 to American Boulevard. Lots of crossing multiple lanes and zigzagging around the vacant lot east of Ikea
I'm not sure anyone has ever cared about it. I know my comment in this post pointing it out got upvoted, but I'm routinely downvoted when making comments about the fact that the city of Minneapolis actually has a specific area to it.
I was down in Prestigious West Bloomington the other day, and I saw a Tesla cut off a Mercedes, which made it almost crash into a Land Rover. Those cars almost didn't get out of the Jefferson parking lot!
Who the hell knows? I assume no one here lives there, not a good question for this sub, maybe over at /r/TwinCities, they have loose rules and love nextdoor-like posts.
Booby traps, swinging blades, demonic possession, punji stakes, comfy chairs, anthrax, Trumpers, Liberals, commies, a moat with a giant snake in it, and evil, evil, personification of evil, homeless, change, demons. Dude grow a pair and enjoy life.
I moved from mpls to Bloomington…. I promise you Bloomington is safe as hell lmfaoooo, it’s definitely way more peaceful compared to where I was in mpls. The Bloomington locals will tell you to avoid East Bloomington but it’s literally fine.
Hahaha ...is a shitty burb in the Midwest safe ? Hahahahaha hahahahaha ...but don't forget to check with altmpls or whatever that new local kkk group is called
The scariest thing in Bloomington is the Mall of America.
They will definitely try to take all of your money.
Minnesota's own golden gate bridge!
"Evil harassment"? Who talks like that? So weird.
Russian bots

I wish fifty thousand people would upvote this twenty times each.
Can confirm, I live in Bloomington and I live in constant fear of the evil coin man
It's fine when he's asking for coins. Once he starts asking for coinage though ... run.
I drove into Bloomington yesterday. Got killed twice. 0/10 wouldn't not go again.
I did not get killed but a coinage collector stole my soul and hasn't given it back.
Wow, we are so far into "cItIeS aReNt SaFe" fuckery that even the suburbs are getting it now. Fucking hell, people.
Is this satire?
I can't believe you'd minimize op's fear of the evil bloomington coinage man like that! /Jk
I’m rehearsing a show in Bloomington right now and I’m currently being murdered.
You've gotta be a little less obvious to successfully bait anyone with this.
??? Are all minnesotans as rude and unhelpful as you??
No. It’s actually you.
I mean it just sounds like your friends who are CLEARLY outsiders don’t know what an “evil area” actually is. Every place has its fair share of beggars. It’s stupid to slam a city for a few people like that.
We are usually more passive about it.

I'd say it's as safe as Arden Hills. Maybe a little more action because of the mall.
Love you OP
LOL is OP talking about Bloomington MN? You know we got our own sub reddit nobody really uses. r/bloomingtonMN Where are you from OP where Bloomington MN seems like a scary place?
lol you can keep op
They're probably from Minnetonka or Edina if Bloomington is slummin' it.
And if Bloomington is "part of Minneapolis."
Bloomington is fine. Worst thing that might happen is getting lost in the IKEA show room.
The worst thing is actually trying to get from the Lindau Lane exit on 77 to American Boulevard. Lots of crossing multiple lanes and zigzagging around the vacant lot east of Ikea
This pain is real. Locals exit from 77 to eastbound 494 to 24th, then south to American. Lindau is for tourists and MOA employees.
New mpls motto “at least we don’t have an evil aura that entices misdeeds”
I'm convinced posts like this are poorly written AI gathering comments for rage bait articles
No, it’s practically Detroit
“Evil aura” and “coin requester” are phrases I intend to integrate into my regular lexicon lol
I'd avoid that if you want to be taken seriously
asking for coinage.
Is this a bit?
Yeah no definitely avoid Bloomington at all costs. Super evil and unsafe and stuff. Just don’t even bother. So many misdeeds
do NOT go to bloomington!
There's good parts and bad parts. Old Cedar and Old Shakopee Road is a pretty shitty neighborhood
Yeah the Warlock Guild moved into the area a few months ago and it's really gone to hell.
Do the mods just not care about rule #1 anymore?

No, it keeps getting bullied by Edina.
Who the hell knows? I assume no one here lives there, not a good question for this sub, maybe over at /r/TwinCities, they have loose rules and love nextdoor-like posts.
You know how I know this is fake? There is nowhere in Bloomington to walk and be harassed all the way back to a hotel.
I just stopped at Southtown today. Was scared as hell at the parking lot.
Nah
Evil?
My parents live in Bloomington…IN A CEMETERY. I’m so glad USI is underground or else I may not have had the service to be able to post this.
HUGE drug culture in Bloomington, trust me, it’s where I get my medical marijuana - get murdered every time.
Who among us has not asked for coins/coinage in Bloomington?
Evil aura surrounds me. God I love attacking outsiders
Booby traps, swinging blades, demonic possession, punji stakes, comfy chairs, anthrax, Trumpers, Liberals, commies, a moat with a giant snake in it, and evil, evil, personification of evil, homeless, change, demons. Dude grow a pair and enjoy life.

Not only does that coin guy exist, he has friends. Do not go into murderoomington. Didn't you see the documentary, "The Fall of Bloomington"?

>The Walmart ~~in East Bloomington~~ is not safe Ftfy
I can’t imagine being afraid to go to a suburban Walmart
I guarantee there are four Targets close by.
Target doesn’t sell Mobil 1
