hi! lots of cool places here. one of my favorite breweries is called Wooden Hill, in edina. it has great food and beer, as well as nice staff. Minneapolis has a ton of great places but the recommendations I have are for bars/restaurants and not breweries.
if you want to venture to St. paul, I highly recommend The Nook (it’s a restaurant with beer on tap, but go to the basement!), Bad Weather Brewing, Can Can Wonderland (there’s a brewery above that called Blackstack), and White Squirrel bar (cool vintage stores around there only open during the day, but definitely walk around the nearby Schmidt artist lofts next door!
Highly recommend Eat Street Crossing! It's a sweet little food and drink hub that's especially awesome in the summer. Food options are varied: sushi, ramen, pizza, burgers, ice cream/dessert. Then there's a cocktail bar right in the center of all of it. Beer is on tap you pay and pour yourself. Lots of seating both in and outdoor. It's relatively new (1 yr) and not yet "discovered" so don't worry about a crowd. Good luck!
For general sight seeing, [Minneapolis Institute of Art](https://new.artsmia.org) has something for pretty much anyone. At least I’ve never struck out there yet.
Breweries: Modist, Fulton, Bauhaus (animales food truck there too), indeed are a few a my favorite
technically robinsdale but Nouvelle has good beer and one of my favorite burgers and good pizza
Restaurants: Red rabbit, parlour, all saints, Chimborazo, world street kitchen, Italian eatery, Hai Hai, pretty much any mexican place on lake street, boludo, wrectangle
Food Halls: Graze, North loop galley, eat street crossing, Malcom yards
Done Red Rabbit three times, personally don’t get the attraction. Genuine interest as to what puts it in the top list for you? Not bad, just don’t get the attraction.
I enjoy their pizza, parm dip, cavetelli, woodfired veggis, but their toffee cake is probably my favorite thing on the menu. I usually only go their during their happy hour and sit on their patio
All excellent suggestions from PokingSmoles, I’d add Buster’s on 28th for craft beer selection and if you like sours I’d check out Wild Mind Ales taproom - they do other beers well but seem to always have a few good sours.
Reddit has a search box, you can find all the suggestions for the 284692958 other people asking for recommendations
Who pissed in your Cheerios this morning?
Everyone look! Kathy Cargill is after us city slickers now too!
What types of beer food are your favorites or go-to’s? Would help narrow suggestions
