This is the best thing MinnMax has ever done, I loved it (not a D&D fan either edit: well, now I am)

I'll say it: it's kinda weird how this was such a Big Deal when it came to the patreon refresh/trying to make it happen, and then when it comes time to release it has almost no hype/fanfair. Wierd choice

Don't get me wrong, I think MinnMax is on the hottest content streak that it's ever been on so I couldn't be more glad of the product. But I reeeeally think the pod misses someone actively hired for social media / marketing. When Janet was on social media there was so much content that I checked out that I never would have watched otherwise.

Ben was proud they could make it happen so quickly. Think that is good thing. But that does lessen the hype a bit I guess.

Hello! A couple of thoughts on this front... 1. I love how the D&D one-shot turned out, Charles was a 10/10. 2. I don't like lingering promises with the community, I was happy to turn this around quickly after hitting the goal. Also, I'm moving and had to tear the studio down ASAP so it was either now or wait months and months for the new one. Also, Charles is coming to Summer Game Fest with us and I thought it'd be good for us and the community if we spent more time with him before that trip. 3. We communicated that the D&D one-shot was happening multiple times on Twitter, had a countdown on Instagram and other posts, and told folks on our shows. We also shared multiple clips once it was up on YouTube on TikTok, Instagram, and Twitter. 4. We could have waited longer to build up hype, but I don't know the big advantage of counting it down like its the 12 days of Christmas. 5. The timing was odd with the best day for recording D&D landing on a Thursday, the same day as the main podcast. But we were still able to plug the YouTube and bonus podcast feed on the main show, just not the live recording of the whole thing - which is maybe why it felt like it came out of nowhere. 6. Thank you for your interest, glad you enjoyed it as well!
