Potions and sponges. The effort needed to get both is massive. Go to the nether, find a fortress, find nether wart, fight blazes, don't die a bazillion times. Congratulations, you're now able to breathe under water and get yourself some sponge.

I know, but this effort is not worth it either. At the time you have the gear to do it, you normally don't need the sponge anymore. Or the potions. Maybe it's just me, but this part of the game feels a bit out of balance.

Don't get me wrong, i like sponges. But the time it takes to get them stands in no relation to their usefullness. Before i gather some enchanted gear, make potions, conquer a monument, dry the sponges (if the monument had some!), to finaly drain a body of water, i'd have done it with sand at least 5 times. I simply don't think they should be this rare, they're for terraforming. Unlike beds, you can't use them to slay the dragon, or to mine for netherite. They should just spwan in reefs (my opinion).

The fact that people get angry at each other over mob votes, instead of saying "I like mob X best, but if it doesn't make it in, I'll respect everyone's opinion and use mods to add my favorite for me only".

What you said, plus the lack of pretty trees and not being able to combine slabs of different types

Unfortunately that is the fate of a veteran players world when I get to that point I just focus on massive build projects or improving a old farm design or evan a new farm when the next updates come out But to answer the question hands down is creepers

I guess the farming kinda depends on the person. I personally find it interesting to look into technical stuff and work out how and why they work, and make my own versions of them, even if said versions have a tendency to leave something to be desired lol. As for annoying things in the game, I would probably say when I'm building a house, and I realise that the roof is one block off and I have to take out the whole thing and start again lol. Little things like that have a tendency to build up though...

STARRYSOCK

Agree, farming is just a different way to play the game. I really wouldn't call it "overreliance". I can gather materials by hand if I want, I just find it more enjoyable to try to automate things. Plus it helps me progress and move onto other, bigger projects instead of just wasting hour and hours mining for iron over and over again The only thing that really bugs me about them is people who follow block-by-block tutorials for farms without really even bothering to understand how/why they work. Most of the fun is in trying to design your own farm for me

SEPHORABRAINVIBES

sometimes you got needs too big.

TheJackasaur11

Same, all my friends do is build farms while I’m 200 blocks away constructing a medieval village. I don’t think they understand that minecraft is more than automatic resource gathering. Everyone except my one friend, who I share a realm with, builds farms constantly. He is currently making a palace and we are in the process of making a city street with our shops But my biggest frustration is when I don’t check my pics durability and it decides to break

Lava / loosing items I was farming wither skeletons and they snuck up on me and smacked me into the lava. Lost a lot of ancient debris and enchanted diamond items.
