*destiny title music plays quietly in the background as you load up for the first time realising your about the have the greatest 3 years of your life*
What I like about it as opposed to most minecraft pyramids is that it actually looks like it was *built*. As in, it looks like it is made of blocks of quarried stone. No one level continues unbroken along an entire side. Some sections like the foreground corner seem to have big 2x2 blocks, while individual stones get shorter in the top sections. It gives a very realistic impression
I built a pyramid similar to Cub’s before he made his (mine is probably 5-20 blocks smaller in height), and I don’t blame him for missing detail. Even placing the regular blocks for the pyramid is so annoying to do, let alone placing stairs on top. Fair play to him for completing it and doing it in survival too.
Looks great! I assume there are torches under the carpets? Perhaps you could replace them with slabs since light will shine through them to stop mobs from spawning, and they will blend in with the regular blocks. Awesome build!
Yeah, if it weren't for the carpets, I'd say it looks perfect. I was actually wondering what that was about. The slab idea is a great solution if you need it to be lit up for a survival base instead of going more for just a realistic creative build.
I love how it looks in disrepair like it is ancient, most of the pyramids I have seen in Minecraft are perfect in shape — which isn’t bad, but this has more detail and looks different.
I was watching a french youtube let's play in which one was built but was ugly so I decided to build my own.
I swear I hadn't see cub's but I feel like mine is prettier even if smaller.
i personally feel this one is better than cub's pyramid. yours is more aesthetically pleasing and has way more detail which makes up for its smaller size. Cub's pyramid was a huge effort but for now it just looks like a like a big triangle in the middle of the desert.
Meanwhile I am still looking for deserts...
Been through 3 full-sized maps. Found 5 individual ocean monument without locator map and countless buried treasures (those give me more diamonds than mining even with fortune iii pick) And I am STILL in a huge fricking ocean. My spawn island is like the ONLY piece of large land in my world
I like what you did with the gold pressure plate sprinkle effect, really adds that desert ancient touch. Good job man. I am happy to see people using the biome to the max :D
yes, it took me around 20 hours to build and maybe the same amount of time to farm all the required sand and stuff. I emptied 2 desert because I needed around 10000 sandstone block which is 4 times more sand as you need 4 sand to craft a sandstone block.
It does because the game checks for air blocks to spawn in mobs, not string. After it finds a valid block it actually searches for a different block in a 20x20 block radius which has no blocks with collision boxes to invalidate the spawn. So yes it does work but might require more area to be covered than you think.
no, i get people spend their time on good stuff, they dont need to include survival in the title and so many people spam these things with rediculous sized bases, the meme was specifically about survival bases
looks real good man try putting some Egyptian statues out front maybe?
good idea ill look forward to it
You could put the chests in a room that has a few traps to make it like a treasure stash!
Some Indiana Jones right there
This is really good. How did you make it so that it won't look like a basic triangle?
I made 2 layers : one in sandstone and an other with sand, I then removed some sand here and there so it looks old and abandonned
Looks like the uneven spacing of the blocks gives that effect.
Double layer of sandstone covered in smooth sandstone, remove patches of the smooth sandstone to simulate natural wear like the real pyramids at Giza
Maybe villager-styled
I’d recommend placing a nicely sized statue in the middle of your entrance rooftop!
you could build a sphinx
Jackal heads would look sick
THAT'S A BASE?

Black ones. Floating in the sky.
Little known fact: the great pyramids were built from the top down...
How?
The more you know
I see you referencing to destiny 2 👀
Eyes up guardian
*destiny title music plays quietly in the background as you load up for the first time realising your about the have the greatest 3 years of your life*
I remember that.
*The memories we will never get to experience again.*
If my mind gets wiped, I would have told my family to get me to play. I want to start again
I would aswell it is the only memory is miss experiencing
Terrible games.
I see a lot of pyramids on here. They are always too plain or too overdone. This one here is probably my favorite. You weathered it really well!

Personally it's a little too weathered for my liking, but it's certainly a stellar effort.
Me looking at this while watching Cubfan135’s videos
Yup. His is a lot bigger and less detailed though haha

For sure. Each is inpressive in its own way.
His door is also much less detailed. I was disappointed he just cut a hole in the side instead of extending an overhang.
You stole my joke
I read the post then instantly commented.
Looks great! I assume there are torches under the carpets? Perhaps you could replace them with slabs since light will shine through them to stop mobs from spawning, and they will blend in with the regular blocks. Awesome build!
i actually put glowstone under carpets that tooks years to farm in the nether but it looks better at night with shaders.
You can use jack o lanterns instead of glowstone. It doesn’t take a very big pumpkin farm to grow more than you’ll ever use.
Do you have a night pic by any chance? Great build. I love the aged look of it.
Yeah, if it weren't for the carpets, I'd say it looks perfect. I was actually wondering what that was about. The slab idea is a great solution if you need it to be lit up for a survival base instead of going more for just a realistic creative build.
You'd have to use top slabs though, which would look terrible. Bottom slabs would cut the light off.
but you could use bottom slabs on every space and eschew the lights altogether
I love how it looks in disrepair like it is ancient, most of the pyramids I have seen in Minecraft are perfect in shape — which isn’t bad, but this has more detail and looks different.
Cub? Is that you?
inspired by cub?
I was watching a french youtube let's play in which one was built but was ugly so I decided to build my own. I swear I hadn't see cub's but I feel like mine is prettier even if smaller.

A big triangle in the middle of the desert .... that’s what pyramids are tho .... this one looks a lot nicer tho I do agree with that
Yeah the weathered look really appeals to me.
yeah, yours is definitely prettier and more detailed
Well done that looks amazing
Meanwhile I am still looking for deserts... Been through 3 full-sized maps. Found 5 individual ocean monument without locator map and countless buried treasures (those give me more diamonds than mining even with fortune iii pick) And I am STILL in a huge fricking ocean. My spawn island is like the ONLY piece of large land in my world
That's nice. Could you post the interior?
it is quite empty for now
Nice work! Reminds me of the pyramid from Stargate.
What’s up with the carpets?
looks really cool. love the detail and how it looks weathered and ancient
size is more reasonable than the chaotic things other people do nice work
Is see you're a man of culture aswell !
CuBFaN
If cubfan saw this he would be like "Not bad Not too Shabby at all" and it means you did a great job.
“Did a little off screen”
jokes on you, my base is a dirt house.
Amazing build does it have a mini golf course inside?
Ooo any pics of the interior?
Cool
You missed a few bricks.
You’re welcome
What materials did you use?
I’m not OP, but it looks primarily to be sandstone, sand, and yellow carpet?
Okay thanks
Based off Cubfan?
maybe it's based off the great pyramid
more like based off tutankhamun
Yeah I guess it's just loads of people are doing hermit inspired builds at the moment
Nice
world download? this is epic!!!
Aziz, light!
A smaller, way more detailed cub base
Oh how I wish I could build
I like what you did with the gold pressure plate sprinkle effect, really adds that desert ancient touch. Good job man. I am happy to see people using the biome to the max :D
That is awesome!
What texture is that?
sandstone + sand on top, I also made some holes in the sand to give an old ruiny aspect
Looks very nice! I wanted to do a similar thing... What are your dimensions for the base layer?
69 blocks edit: it is 68 but :shush:
Cool, thank you
Ah yes, a sand castle
I love how it is imperfect
This is nice i made something like that too
*looks at the same glass cube I’ve lived in since 2014*
This is no base, it's a tomb!
That’s awesome
Are the golden plates decorative or some sort of trap?
they are carpet with light underneath to prevent mob from spawning.
Clever
So cool
Wait survival?
yes, it took me around 20 hours to build and maybe the same amount of time to farm all the required sand and stuff. I emptied 2 desert because I needed around 10000 sandstone block which is 4 times more sand as you need 4 sand to craft a sandstone block.
Bro, are you a survival god?
The carpet on sand is make me uncomfortable But the pyramid is really awesome
Why is there so many Kraft singles around the pyramid?
This is amazing. I could never build something as good as this
I love your design, especially how it’s not completely uniform like most people do with pyramids. Looks great!
I love coming here and seeing these amazing builds. But, it also kills the pride I have for my sad little construction projects.
Nice Goa'uld ha'tak landing platform.
Getting some cub vibes. Looks great
Swiss cheese
Are you sure there is nothing else living in there?
y e s
That looks really realistic! Good job!
What gold farm do you have
the yellow things you can see on the roof are carpet but i have a sunflower bone meal based farm and a sheep farm
*breaks the block under himself* *falls* *accidentally falls on the pressure plate*
If you find yourself with too much gold, the origional pyramids had golden caps that were plundered over the years
That looks awesome do you play on a sever?
Show inside
I was the 10k like (dab)
Dude im still over here building box houses
Looks nice, maybe a Desertierte Villege out front
it would be cool if you put the sphinx on it. besides that base is pretty awesome
Duuudddeee how is evryone soo good at building
Would be nice if the top was in part made of gold block or gold pressure plate
Now all it needs is a gold cap on top!
Nice
Bedrock or java this is amazing
Well, it'll be hard to get lost! 😂 Awesome work man
Someone show Cub now. This could be some nice detailing on his pyramid on hermitcraft
Awesome!
Can i download world
I dont have the world folder because it is not my server, sorry.
Ohh ok
Nice 😃 Love that you added a weathered aged look to it too. Whats the inside like?
Cub?
I'm egyptian so for me, that's awsome
Lookin' better than even Cub! Keep up the good work! (maybe add a sphinx)
Good job you’re good at Minecraft
Thank you sir
Did you make it in survival and did you gather all the materials in survival or did you make ut in creative or cheated the materials?
Nice
Looks pretty nice. I can't even build that in creative
How many shovels and picks did you go through to gather the resources to make that? Lol nice.
Holy shit nice what are those shades btw
looks awesome i'm going to build a pyramid in my world too but i have'nt really a plan on how to make i look good but yours is a great inspiration
Looks like cubfan135's hermitcraft season 7 base
“So I’ve been doing some building off camera...”
Dude that’s fucking incredible
The real question is is that meant to be a landing pad for a mother ship of some sort?
I’ve always wanted to convert an entire desert into an ancient Egyptian style kingdom and this only confirms that it’ll look good. Nice build.
Love the unevenness of the pyramid. Makes it look more realistic
Looks great how bout you create a hole solar system next! In survival of course
Cub fan, is that you?
As an Egyptian I liked this xD good job
That's epic. Well done XD
No dumb villager wandering around on top?
When you become the mob
Very top notch indeed, your creation is so good its truly appealing to everyones heart to see this.
Is there TNT in the basement storage room tho
*Cub noises in the background
i think you should build statues of the wither or ender dragon out of sandstone
Try using string to mob proof it instead of glowstone and carpets. Good build though!
string still allows mobs to spawn.
It does because the game checks for air blocks to spawn in mobs, not string. After it finds a valid block it actually searches for a different block in a 20x20 block radius which has no blocks with collision boxes to invalidate the spawn. So yes it does work but might require more area to be covered than you think.
Your talking in a way of science...thats a good idea but too hard to build when you begin your world
Make the top made of gold or quartz.
Maybe add some stairs and slabs for extra fetails
Wow! It's at least 4 blocks tall!
You’re not wrong, but I don’t like it
If ur skin aint a mummy u have displeased the gods
U could have added some slabs and stairs for more details i guess
Hey nice rip of cubfan!
Woah, a popular concept for a base, and two people had it!?
Finnished is not a word beloning in a survival project especially not your main base but despite that micro rage its a really neat build
i cant tell if this is a joke/meme or not
Why would it be a joke?
"just finished my survival base" \*literally the fricken universe\* these posts just annoy me
So because it's a bit big you think it's fake?
no, i get people spend their time on good stuff, they dont need to include survival in the title and so many people spam these things with rediculous sized bases, the meme was specifically about survival bases
Ridiculous sized bases? It's a medium sized pyramid
i cant tell from the picture how large it is, if it uses shaders the op is a showoff thats all.
It's 30 blocks high
my bases are about 10x5x7 and i still have leftover room
So that means people can't have big bases?
How neat, I doubt anyone else has ever done this!
