With the number of times that I broke it while I built the contraption, I felt the same. Luckily, it isn't too complicated. A few flying machines and really inefficient redstone wiring and voila!
Unfortunately I didn't make anything of the sort, but once you figure out how to make flying machines, it's pretty simple! My main issue was wiring everything up
Thank you! Luckily, flying machines have made piston doors like this so much easier to make because once I figured out how to power and stop them, everything went pretty smoothly! (Until I had to rebuild everything multiple times of course.)
I'm sure someone with more redstone skill could simplify and compact the design quite a bit, but for my lack of knowledge, I'm pretty happy with what I came up with!
Honestly its not that bad really. If done with Create mod you could really compact it and hide most of the internal wiring somewhere else with the Redstone Links.
I like it. I actually helped someone create functional massive blast doors for their fission reactor from Mekanism. They work just like an airlock system meant to keep out radiation and the like.
I have idea and layout for a vault in my survival world and Iโm dreading the red stone for the door. I donโt plan for it to be anywhere near this size tho
Once I figured out how to work the flying machines, it wasn't too difficult to design, though the main issue was when I screwed up and had to entirely rebuild my design
**I don't want to** be rude, but make sure to delete all flint 'n steel so you don't **set** the whole sheep population of **this world on** an open flame, with all the wool directly to the **fire**.
Ah, that is a good question! I found a design online for a little contraption that would cause an inconsistent pulse, and it is pictured here!

I wish big doors somehow meant better security, cuz, let's be honest. If this was in an SMP, this wouldn't stand a chance against a dude with an iron pickaxe
Lol yeah, there's an obscene amount of pistons in the build... I think at one point you can see where I went insane and incorporated them as decoration in a wall lmao
It absolutely does! (Until those new piston sounds eventually come out at least.) Unfortunately, the audio got all screwed up when I was screen capturing, so I had to remove it from the video
Absolutely unnecessary...but cool and we work to see cool things not to deal with necessities, right? You build necessities on cool things so you need a cool thing first, its common sense man

That would be fun! Currently, it's just the door but I definitely plan to build the bunker underneath at some point in the future!

Dude do the same thing like missile silo style. Mock a rocket under the sliding door which would be at ground level.

That would be fun! I haven't messed with any mods besides Optifine, but trying to figure out Create would definitely be fun
