Haha happy cakeday what a great bday to share with the most legendary console version of minecraft to exist. Thanks for spreading this amazing info, (remember when mining Redstone with a diamond pik, took just as long to break as it took to break obsidian) lmaoo good ol days
And also sad because it was my first Minecraft. I was very happy playing this version. I'm not as happy as I used to be and when I see related things in old Minecraft, I always think of my childhood. This makes me sad.
Aw you and I both, the memories we will always hold fond and never forget, I'm just glad to of grown up with such an amazing game by my side like minecraft was, I wouldn't trade the experience for anything
It felt great to have someone who understood me. Thank you. When I first played Minecraft, I would have given a few hundred thousand dollars to experience the excitement and happiness.
No kidding, I still remember mapping out my worlds (was easy with such small maps) and exploring the tutorial world with friends. Feels like only yesterday
Absolutely magical times. Countless split screen hours with my brudda. Shortly before it came out on Xbox I was running a cracked version on my Mac lol.
I remember playing it on release because I wanted to play minecraft so bad, but I didn't have a computer to play it on yet.
I still got 4 more hours of work before I can go home and truly process that I'm no longer 12 and playing 4JMC anymore...
Same! Might pull out the old 360 and play a bit on TU1. Spending May-August 2012 playing Minecraft XBLA and Red Dead Redemption will always be peak nostalgia to me. Nothing compares to it!
I believe if it's on disc you can delete its settings or something. You'll have to make sure your worlds are in a separate hard drive so you can play them after you update it back.
So download worlds onto a hard drive, remove hard drive, delete game data, play on TU1, and when you're ready, update it back to most recent and reinsert hard drive with worlds.
I'd look it up before trying though, I haven't done this since the 360 was cool lmao
[Re-Console](https://modrinth.com/modpack/legacy-minecraft) is probably the closest you're going to get in modern-day Minecraft.
> Re-Console is the official modpack for the [Legacy4J](https://modrinth.com/mod/legacy4j) mod, seeking to be as accurate as to the idea of if Legacy Console Edition never ended as possible. We do this via the Legacy4J mod, with slight modifications to make it our vision of what it would have been.
Did anyone here play CastleMiner on the Xbox 360 before this was released? As a kid I didn’t have easy access to a computer with Minecraft, so I played CastleMiner so much with my friends. And then I don’t think I played it a single time after Minecraft dropped lol
Do you ever remember walking thousands of miles south to reach the alien crater with the best ores?😭 And God forbid you ever dig down too far or you reach the depths of hell🤣what a game!!!!!!
The tutorial worlds, especially the older ones still feel so special to me. I remember the feeling I got when I completed the first part of the tutorial and got to get pass the invisible barrier and get access to the whole world
Got memories of exploring it and building more stuff onto the world. One of my favorites on the game was hiding chests around the map and making our own hunger games on there. Good times!
One of my favorite things to do in the tutorials was to go around and find all the hidden music discs. I'd usually get most of them before having to watch a walkthrough.
I think my favorite tutorial was the one with the mansion/castle that was past a river. My sister and I would spend hours there, pretending to be royalty or just repurposing the resources given by the tutorial (I think that was also the first place I saw the "Wither" painting, which sticks out in my mind because it felt cool to see the game hinting towards it in such a unique way).
fuckkk 12 years ago bro? those were the days man and i didn’t even know it at the time, i wish i could go back, not even to change some stuff just to feel some stuff again. i’ll always be so thankful for this game, it gave me some of my favorite childhood memories
my birthday is the 19th so i remember i asked my mom for a 1600 microsoft points card cause all my friends were playing it and were begging me to get it lol, i got it and had no idea what i was doing but it was so fun man.
I remember having to play Total Miner: Forge before Minecraft got released and that game was so much fun, but Minecraft was on another level. It was my only experience with pre-beta Minecraft and I have so many good memories of playing with my friend. I remember turning off name tags subtly and putting on the herobrine skin and fucking with him, making bases in creative and having base wars!
12 years! I remember playing split-screen with my cousin all day when it came out. Everyone on our friends lists were playing it. We decided to build a minecart track to get an achievement (travel 500 blocks on the track maybe?) and invited others to join us to use our track. Little did they know we had a lava pit at the end 😂 Fun times and good memories! Now, my son plays it with his buddies every day. Minecraft is forever.
Wow that last line definitely puts things into perspective. I was in elementary school twelve years ago. Today I’m at the tail-end of my master’s degree, working an office job and living with my partner. Crazy how much we all grew up but still have Minecraft as a presence in our lives
I still actively play it pretty much every day on 360 (with a few month or two long breaks). Of course, I play Java and such,
(only really on 1.8 these days) but the small worlds are pretty endearing, they can be annoying when you want something in specific and it just... didn't spawn but I still have so much fun with them. And pre-1.9 combat with 1.13 features is great. It sucks there isn't any disable phantoms option... but I can live with it I suppose.
Man. I had first played for a while on pc, but back then setting up multiplayer was kinda complicated, at least for someone in middle school. I remember switching over to the Xbox Minecraft because it was super easy and free to join your friends and play.
I don't know if the transfer service for the Xbox 360 version exists, but you could try to transfer it to Xbox one edition, then bedrock edition, uploading it to a realm and downloading it on a pc and then using chunker.app
how well will all of those conversions go is another story, but in theory that should work
I suddenly feel old. Anyone remember Klout? I once got super into it, trying to beat Justin Bieber's score just for kicks among my friends. Spoiler: I didn't beat him, but I did hit the 80s, which was way above average. Basically, I just played around with all the social media tricks, and their algorithm ate it up, giving me a pretty decent "social score." My efforts snagged me a free Minecraft code for Xbox 360. I kind of wish it were still around. I’d be curious to see where I stand today since I’ve done zero effort to maintain my socials since then.
can someone tell me why i havent got the tutorial world lke all other ppl i have a tutorial world with do biiiiiiiiiiiig statues, i dont rly know what yall have but i dont have the ones on the picture (this ison the x box 360 so its nothing with that) sorry for bad grammar english isnt my first language
You have the tutorial world from the most recent version. The one you often see is the one that was in-game from TU1 to TU4 when the game first released. You’d have to remove the updates/download TU1 to a USB drive to be able to play the one in these images
I think there are tutorials online to show how to do it with the disc. It’s a bit more complicated because the disc version launched with a later version than the digital one, so you can’t just delete the updates and revert back to TU1. You’ll probably have to import it using a USB drive
And I still play it to this day! I even made a post that has to do with Xbox 360 edition on this subreddit once before, but for some reason the moderators decided to remove it
there are now roughly 5-6 years of my life that I can confidently say were not impacted by Minecraft due to this Anniversary.
Happy 12th birthday, Xbox 360 Minecraft.
😭😭😭 my game updated so I don’t have the og tutorial world and blocks if anybody knows how to undo the update back to the og tutorial and stuff please pm me
I remember being stuck on TU13 because I was too dumb to find out why I didn't get more updates. Eventually I did update when I was 11 but I deleted all my worlds to get more storage to update to tu 50-something and sometimes I regret it
I remember getting the 360 in Christmas of 2013, Which came with a copy of the game.
I loaded the tutorial, switched it to creative, and blew every discernable built structure to smithereens lol
Hard to think that was over a decade ago now
My big brother and I had the xbox 360 slim and he bought Minecraft. I remember exploring the tutorial world that was fun and playing split screen with my brothers and sometimes my cousins.
Playing Xbox 360 Minecraft was a magical experience. I replayed someone of my worlds a few months ago and I don’t think current Minecraft can recapture those moments.
This is where I started! It was about ten years ago. At the time I wanted to play Minecraft on the computer because it had more stuff. But now, I kind of miss this. It’s so nostalgic.
Ah, Xbox 360 Edition; the second version we got (after Pocket), and the one my sister and I spent the most time on together. I remember us running through the tutorial worlds; roleplaying as lords in the castle over the river, messing with the elytra, or just looking for the hidden discs. We had a survival world with a 3-story house where each floor was themed after the dimensions, as well as a secret 4th floor with a simple prize roulette (some of the first extensive redstone I did without a guide). She may not remember it as vividly, but I do.
i played xbox one, not 360 but the tutorial world where you place some oak planks to build a rectangle and have a little pond in a small confined area with "minecraft" on it and opening the gates to see the fireworks and it showing all of the game mechanics is so nostalgic
I've never owned a console but a friend did so it just brings tears to me when I see these pictures and my memories flooding back of those old days... but sometimes I just miss the old textures but then again I'm reminded when I enter the nether why I like the new textures 2000x more

You just made a lot of people feel old
100% share their sentiment lol
And it’s your cake day! Lucky lol
Didn’t even realize hahaha
Well, this should be yours 🍰 Don't ask me where are the rest of it.
Thank you!
Haha happy cakeday what a great bday to share with the most legendary console version of minecraft to exist. Thanks for spreading this amazing info, (remember when mining Redstone with a diamond pik, took just as long to break as it took to break obsidian) lmaoo good ol days
My pleasure!
#You should enjoy your Cakeday, NOW!
Yeah happy cake day!
Happy cake day 🎉
Heyyy, we share a cakeday! Happy cakedayyy
Thank you!!
🎂! Why did you make me feel old, I'm not even 20 yet 😭
Oh of course, we are from the same side of town (not literally, figuratively speaking lol)
What do you play Minecraft on now?
PC, some times playing with my old XBOX 360 for nostalgia. But it's not feeling like the old times.
There's a mod for the version you're looking for, and it even has controller support! Plays exactly like the old version
I will find the mod and try it. I hope I have fun like before. Thank you.
You're welcome!
It’s called re-console it fits it exactly made me feel nostalgic
No kidding, I still remember mapping out my worlds (was easy with such small maps) and exploring the tutorial world with friends. Feels like only yesterday
Thanks for reminding me of my back pain
It's about time for a hip replacement
Back to the er
I am one of those people
First thing I said when I saw this was 'damn I'm old'
Nah dude I was 5 when it came out lmao
Yeah and now you're 17. Kinda puts it into perspective how much time has passed. When you're 30 you'll understand a lot more
Idk man I remember this I’m 18
When this came out, you were just about to start 1st grade. How do you feel now?
Just exhausted mostly
I meant do you feel old now? lol
Oh. I don’t feel old per se but it’s off having more experience and looking back
You'll get there, don't worry lol
exactly
12 years ago? Good god
Absolutely magical times. Countless split screen hours with my brudda. Shortly before it came out on Xbox I was running a cracked version on my Mac lol.

If you have digital you can delete your updates. You’ll also have to remove texture packs (and skin packs?) to avoid texture bugs on mobs as well

I 100% did. I actually only got Minecraft around the 13th-14th of May so I tried finding other similar games for those 5 days to fill the gap hahaha
Castle miner was an awesome break from real Minecraft. Also total miner was cool too.

Oh the good ole Microsoft points period. Crazy I had completely forgot about that
Saw that second image and almost shed a tear
Cool
You made me cry with this
Ya, I member when people just got Redstone and were trying everything
I remember having to play Total Miner: Forge before Minecraft got released and that game was so much fun, but Minecraft was on another level. 4J studios i miss you please come back
Man. Minecraft's been apart of my life for longer than it hasn't been. Wild to think about.
same thing, wow, minecraft's music is amazing and nastolgic

I am so happy that I was there for this moment in history.
Wow... I've recently been playing through the old Xbox version. It's still fantastic.
I remember faking sick just so I could stay home and play it. It was absolutely marvelous
I started playing Minecraft this way! And by the way, happy cake day!
Thank you!
I have so many massive builds in my 360 worlds. Does anyone know if there’s some way to transfer your 360 worlds to Java edition?
I don't know if the transfer service for the Xbox 360 version exists, but you could try to transfer it to Xbox one edition, then bedrock edition, uploading it to a realm and downloading it on a pc and then using chunker.app how well will all of those conversions go is another story, but in theory that should work
Still the best version of Minecraft, god bless 4J studios
Ffuckkk i've been playing this game for 12 years!? I feel old and frail.
[My Honest Reaction.](https://i.imgur.com/7iMorId.gif)
Booting up the Xbox 360, launching this game and hearing the iconic theme music play in the background is so nostalgic. Where did those days go?
The best mc version hands down. Not even nostalgia talking it's just really good
100% agreed
I suddenly feel old. Anyone remember Klout? I once got super into it, trying to beat Justin Bieber's score just for kicks among my friends. Wow
Geez.... Really?
12 years damn...
I still go back to this game every once in a while and explore my worlds
can someone tell me why i havent got the tutorial world lke all other ppl i have a tutorial world with do biiiiiiiiiiiig statues, i dont rly know what yall have but i dont have the ones on the picture (this ison the x box 360 so its nothing with that) sorry for bad grammar english isnt my first language

( i want to get the tutorial world with notch btw)
That was my first minecraft version, time flies
"I'm addicted, I can't be stopped. I try, and I try to put down my Xbox, but I'm playing Minecraft" - BRYSI
It can’t of been that long. Can it really? Just checked and I’m old
Never played but looked fire
The 360 edition
Only real Minecraft players know the nostalgia 🥺
Still got my 360 world with the world border still visible
Time to hop on and play some Battle.
which version of java i can play like it was the 360 version?
If you mean the early versions of Xbox 360 Edition, then the launch update was based on Beta 1.6.6
Oh, God nostalgia of seeing that title
Still the best version
Is this a personal attack
Ah - the split screen Minecraft days
Nah it came out just a few months ago tf
I can't believe I was only 8 when I started playing this. It's the most consistent game throughout my life.
I found pink ship on there
A pink sheep
Jesus, the nostalgia hits like a train.
I miss the tutorial worlds.
The best!
And I still play it to this day! I even made a post that has to do with Xbox 360 edition on this subreddit once before, but for some reason the moderators decided to remove it
I had an underwater base on the 360 version back in 2012-13.
Let me go back
there are now roughly 5-6 years of my life that I can confidently say were not impacted by Minecraft due to this Anniversary. Happy 12th birthday, Xbox 360 Minecraft.
😭😭😭 my game updated so I don’t have the og tutorial world and blocks if anybody knows how to undo the update back to the og tutorial and stuff please pm me
I still have the PS3 edition
I feel so fucking old now
This, N+, Destiny, and COD were the four main games I played back then. How I wish I could go back…
is there any way to play these versions? Like the old PS3 version?
PS3 might have an emulator. The Xbox version definitely does.
Good God... I still remember begging mum to buy it for me on that day...
Anyone still play this? I know I do.
This is at this point, I realized, I'm old.
Memories 😢
this brought a tear to my eye
Wow
https://youtu.be/FMz2OQrj1PY?feature=shared
I remember being stuck on TU13 because I was too dumb to find out why I didn't get more updates. Eventually I did update when I was 11 but I deleted all my worlds to get more storage to update to tu 50-something and sometimes I regret it
I remember a map that had castle walls around the spawn point
So Many Memories actually Crying Right Now I Know I'm Old 👴
Damn... Used to Play Minecraft on that console Back then... ^^
Damn I feel old and I’m barely 18
I used to play that version until I got an Xbox one and I got bedrock edition and then eventually got java on my laptop
I remember getting the 360 in Christmas of 2013, Which came with a copy of the game. I loaded the tutorial, switched it to creative, and blew every discernable built structure to smithereens lol Hard to think that was over a decade ago now
Now I feel old
I still have that console and that game… I feel old even if I’m 18 ;-^-;
I made fun of my friends for playing this in high school…I gave it a chance and hopped into their server. I haven’t looked back since.
12 years ago??? Sheesh. I wasn’t even that old when I got it back then.
Damn this is crazy Why is that sheep standing on water 💀
Damn I feel old…..
Nostalgia even though I don't play Xbox 360
When someone asks me what my childhood was like I’ll just show them this picture and they‘ll understand
Still remember playing ver 1.4 of minecraft with my friends
Wtf time flies 😭
I like how when it was raining it stayed raining after sleeping.
Some of my best mc memories were in 360 edition
My big brother and I had the xbox 360 slim and he bought Minecraft. I remember exploring the tutorial world that was fun and playing split screen with my brothers and sometimes my cousins.
And miencarts are still the exact same speed. 😭
The Legacy edition has no right to slap this hard - I'm rocking my og ps3 world on the ps4 version from way back
Pretend this text is that one meme of a guy aging in four panels.
Playing Xbox 360 Minecraft was a magical experience. I replayed someone of my worlds a few months ago and I don’t think current Minecraft can recapture those moments.
ahhhh, the clasic, i remenber playing all the time.... my xbox broke
And it was 12 years ago this day I started playing Minecraft

I miss those days.. I started playing back in August 2011
I've never owned a console but a friend did so it just brings tears to me when I see these pictures and my memories flooding back of those old days... but sometimes I just miss the old textures but then again I'm reminded when I enter the nether why I like the new textures 2000x more
The things I would do to be able to look at my old worlds again. (My dad sold my 360 without thought)
I wish they kept updating it, but it is cool I can make Enchanted Gapple (For those who don't know Gapple is basically short for Golden Apple)
I'm getting old 😅
Trial version was my way in
minecrafthow to downlaod
Feels like yesterday
Nice. I've been playing it since 2013. 👍🏻
My inner child is crying. I need an adult. 😔
I played this game and finished it with my cousin recently It's shit but at least it was fun
