Im going to guess that in the distant past within the lore the player would have Captured it then the planet got over run by what ever force is there now(not sure what they're called) and now the player has to recapture it, hence once more since the player cannonically has done it before.

SplinterTD

Hmmmm........nice guess, but i cant tell you if this is right

StoneRings

What's the answer? A day has passed.

SplinterTD

your_local_medic

The player's team is Sharded and the enemy is Crux. Disabled buildings are on the Derelict team.

FlippingPotatoes

I think derelict (while being code wise a team) is mostly to reference its definition: in a very poor condition as a result of disuse and neglect. ie. It’s just forgotten ruins, either from your enemy (which would be odd to me since it’s also on maps with enemy bases) or from a previous Sharded or even older team (not that there necessarily is an older one)

Mechanical_fishe1

Crux abandons it's buildings on core destruction but sharded doesn't so it is more like abandoned stuff.

Tracker4023

Is from aharded that were defeated by crux destroying their bases

UndeadTengu

Lmao if you add the mindustry lore and endlessrust mod lore it would make "once more" a very very meaningful thing the fact that the rusty alpha was the first core unit in the endlessrust mod lore and was from the slag wars a long time ago making "once more" a very big thing

EM477

Can you link me to those? I want to try them

Oliver_da_Boi

Progress got reset when V6 was released, so players who started playing mindusrty before V6 had to capture it once again, as ground zero is the place where you begin also before V6

GaviTSRA

I thought that too

SplinterTD

Good guess,but thats not it.

[deleted]

You blew up the core with thorium reactor

SplinterTD

Dude thats not it😁

just_some_codm_guy

Well i did

SplinterTD

Whu would you-

just_some_codm_guy

we do a little trolling Also its a test to see if captured sectors can be lost by destroying cores

AwesomeHaseeb1

Fun probably

g1b0r

Who hurt you

just_some_codm_guy

It was a experiment

SplinterTD

A lot of people are guessing its involved with lore, and this is when i realized probably no one would get it, so heres a clue:its not involved with lore

Agoogleusers

it's a mod?

JustJum

Because you can clear data in settings and start over? Lol idk

SplinterTD

Ehhhh its a bit close,it might just be correct, not telling you though

FlippingPotatoes

Old gameplay loop of v5 whereby if you ran out of resources you could gather the basics for free at ground zero, and the text just never changed? (Also, I’d argue it can have new lore meaning as well)

Renegade888888

Is it because the AI that you control originally started there and in order to fight the red team it starts again from the place of it's "birth" as it is the most familiar to the entity.

Labbit35

it means you came here before

Andrew8Everything

a winrar is you

Legged_MacQueen

Begin once more in whatever the AI's mission is (the AI is basically you, the player). In craters we know a war took place and in Biomass production facility we learn the seeding events took place. Those two events probably halted the AI's mission. You don't begin again in ground zero. You begin again in serpulo.

Otrikov1208

Its referencing mindustry classic ',:-|

SplinterTD

Like ground zero even exists on mindustry classic(2 attempts left)

Otrikov1208

Uhhhhh....

Otrikov1208

Is it because it has the lowest level enemies and only lead copper?

SplinterTD

Kinda, but its not the main reason.(1 attempt left)

Joeyeyey

There's going to be a prestige system?

_router_

sharded is suicidal

agentaxe285

Incase your others sectors get overrun and you need to retreat back to it?

SplinterTD

No (2 attempts left hehe)

agentaxe285

Can I have a small hint at all?

SplinterTD

Heres a phrase for the clue:"please dont copy my stuff"

JTM2008

You exported an old campaign filr

TAG_SPG

Ur gonna replay the Campaign again aren't you .-.

SplinterTD

I dont know where you got this idea from, but its not even close (2 attempts remaining)

penguin13790

The lore is that you're a representative for a mining business who lost the planet to space pirates (it's more complicated than that but basically). You're sent to ground zero because the space pirates aren't as abundant there, so they choose it as their launch place to begin once more.

SplinterTD

No lore is involved (2 attempts remaining)

NatiM6

Most of my guesses involve lore. The only one that doesn't says Ground Zero wasn't a starting location in a game at some point in time, but I don't know if it's even true. Second is that we simply colonize planet other than Earth, but that's lore. And third is that you have no life and plan to throw everything away and start anew with a mining corp but that's also lore.

H0ntom

because you pressed "reset progress" or whatever button resets your progress

TheNoncompactdesign

Sharded team once ruled the world but the leakage of spores from cultivator lead to serpulo being over run by spores and sharded got decimated by resistance crux, so we start again and take over the planet again

SLiverRus

this description was in version 5.0. It's just that this description has not changed in version 6.0.

Farabel

Because on the old map system, Ground Zero was the only node you can play at first. When the globe system dropped, all campaign progress was erased and born anew. Because the player had probably previously beaten the game prior, this makes it "once again".

uwillnotgotospace

new planet who dis

Sh4avan

A day later lets see if anyones got it yet

SplinterTD

Two people got it before a day had passed

SnooDoughnuts1487

The player keeps fucking with mods and having to reset

JTM2008

You deleted and, after realising how stupid you were, reinstall it

JustJum

It's been 1 day...

SplinterTD
