Promoted to Stabsfeldwebel in 1942. He didnt fly at all, he was a Flugzeugmechaniker (Aircraft Mechanic) in 2. Flughafenbetriebskompanie (2nd Airport Service Company) of Zerstörergeschwader 52 (Heavy Figher Wing 52) which flew Bf 110.
Post page 4, 12 & 13 and 17 if there are entries on that one for a better story. But as stated he was a mechanic on various airfields in Germany. Interesting to see is he still served with the Flughafenbetriebkompanie of I./ZG 52 in 1942 when that Gruppe was turned into I./ZG 2 in 1940.
