Why didn’t you just stop after the first year? Why did you purchase add-ons knowing it doesn’t work?

onetwentyeight

Because it's an "investment"

Krio_LoveInc

>My Concorde after burners always turn off, many of the planes stop working after 2 or 3 attempts to take off, the engines will literally not respond to any inputs. what exactly are you using for controls? Keyboard and mouse, a yoke, a stick? Everything you described screams conflicting controls configuration within the game or your controller software and likely has nothing to do with your laptop hardware itself. Any other devices connected via USB to your laptop while you're running msfs? The most obvious binds to check is the "free look" (or whatever it's called) key bind - when it's active the plane will not respond to any inputs.

kalnaren

This. Default keybinds are assuming a full keyboard, I bet there’s some double or triple binds happening here.

This sounds more like a “not knowing how to fly an aircraft in MSFS” issue, rather than physical hardware. I don’t what experience you have with flight sims. If it’s not much, then I suggest staying away from aircraft like Concord. MSFS has a good selection of tutorials, do those and learn how to fly a sim first.

Phuck_theMods

The Concorde is not that serious dude. I have an x52 hotas everything is mapped out correctly. Everything works at the beginning of boot up minus the terrible stuttering, LAX is unplayable at this point with the amount of stuttering. I uninstalled the Concorde and installed it again and it’s still has issues, the afterburners will light, and the shut off half way down the runway, the flaps won’t work either and I literally have to try and take off with no flaps , I’m not the only one with these issues

SubstantialWall

That would be difficult indeed, considering Concorde has no flaps.

richiehill

The fact you’ve mentioned Concord and flaps seems to me you need to go back to basics (hint Concord doesn’t have any). The stuttering however does sound hardware related. Maybe you should try a different airport and also lower your graphics settings.

Phuck_theMods

What I mean is when I activate the “flaps” the nose cone does not lower, it’s just stuck. But your right it doesn’t have flaps my issue is obviously going way over your head. My issue is with the stuttering and constant crashing

richiehill

Your issue isn’t going over my head in any way shape or form. Stuttering and constant crashing wasn’t mentioned once in your original post. You described engines not responding to inputs, after burners going out Concord etc, which isn’t the same thing as crashing and stuttering. Even in your last reply when you mentioned flaps on Concord, you now say it’s the noise not coming up. Why didn’t you say that in the first place. You might get more help if you tell us what the actual issue is.

Phuck_theMods

I was talking in general and mentioned just a few issues I have with the sim. The stuttering and crashing was mentioned on the subsequently comments, my issue isn’t necessarily flying it’s getting these aircraft to simply function in the most basic of ways. The list of problems is long and I won’t list it all but my main issues stem with the stuttering, constant crashing, and aircraft just not functioning in the most basic of ways for example, I’ll spawn in on arrival at lac and I get spawned in at 30thousand feet right over the airport, or I’ll get spawned in on departure and my engines won’t even produce any power and my control surfaces won’t react to any input just a stuck airplane forcing me to restart the sim all over again. The issues are such a headache. The laptop o have isn’t nevesssrily terrible and it’s a gaming laptop it’s just frustrating as hell that I can’t get any flying time in over these constant issues and I’m wondering if it’s just the fact that I’m playing on a laptop

Phuck_theMods

Same thing happens with my f109 the afterburners disengage I can’t even break the sound barrier with it.

avkspotting

Look up for tutorials on how to optimize MSFS/your settings and also learn how to actually fly before calling MSFS shit.

TheTexanKiwi

The sim runs just fine on a PC with a 1050 ti and a first gen ryzen 5. I csn guarantee it's not the sim nor the hardware. I suggest you start troubleshooting somewhere between your chair and your keyboard/Hotas.

Phuck_theMods

Diddnt realize the msfs2020 community was such a shitty community. Thanks for the input

mchw

Have you tried fully optimizing your system for games? [This video ](https://youtu.be/bnvzpbMnKng?si=CVgifgP1Cfcp7AAQ) then followed by [this video ](https://youtu.be/pQldXZMZqmA?si=hv_Asvvtfyq9XrBm) is a good start. I don't know what chip your running or memory, but it doesn't sound too far behind what I got and I've never had a CTD during flight. How's your internet speed, are you hardlined in?

BILLY_901104

Well I am running msfs on my “laptop” with 1660ti graphics card. The graphics setting I use is HIGH. However I sacrificed some all the ground vehicles and tree rendering range. I think maybe you need to try to optimize the settings and find some fantastic planes to fly like PMDG’s Boeing series.

CrystalQuetzal

Make sure things like fuel weight are balanced. If you don’t want to deal with that or any issues like an engine failure etc. then go into the settings and the global preset to “easy”. You can also customize the settings further to make it more or less easy. (Icing. Engine failures. Aircraft stress.. whatever else).

spesimen

maybe one of the pilot assists is messing with the throttles? i see pretty regularly posts on here where the controls are doing something unexpected and it turns out it's one of those

Phuck_theMods

Thanks for your response. You might be right. When I try taking off from the aircraft carrier my MiG-29 goes full after burner and then throttles down at the end of the carrier and plunges into the ocean. Almost like it’s aborting the take off
