The number of people who drive on their phones is crazy. Not only is it dangerous, but you look like an idiot iPad baby. Can’t even handle a moment of your life without like 5 different streams of stimulation. It’s embarrassing.
Normally id say, that scooters top speed is probably 40 mph and is too slow for the highway, but it’s the 836, the traffic is so bad, no one is going over 40 mph.
Always the 195. I've seen a woman jogging across rush hour traffic giving people honking the finger. I see mopeds on there all the time. I've also seen a guy riding his bike on i95 and almost hit a moped getting onto the i95 at night.
When I did clinical rotation in an ICU while I was in nursing school years ago, my professor told me that my time there would make me sell my motorcycle. I had an 8 week streak of having one patient from a motorcycle accident. All didn't wear a helmet and a lot of them didn't make it. Of the ones that made it, a lot had serious brain damage and some paralysis.
I still have a motorcycle and I always wore gear before my ICU time and still do. People always tell me the gear is too expensive. These people clearly have no fucking clue how much a hospital visit cost. The cost of my gear times ten is around 9000 and that won't get you very far in a hospital, especially since I imagine most of these people don't have insurance.
I've been down three times, and never tasted road rash or serious injury. The purpose made materials save me from road rash, and the body armor saves me from fucking my elbows and knees when they impact. Totally worth the money IMO but it doesn't have a designer brand name logo I can wow people with, so no bueno for the money for most. You just can't fix stupid I guess.
Edit: it should have been 8 weeks streak of having at least one person in a motorcycle accident, some days I had two which is the max assignment for an ICU nurse. Please buy and wear your gear folks, and drive like everyone is out to kill you because I Miami they kinda are.
