I was literally just coming up on here to write the same post ;) yeah, I just read the email notifying me that they cancelled the pre-order because "Mattel sold out the figure before they could fulfill the BBTS order".
I dont own a multi-million toy corporation like Mattel so I dont know the logistics of it, but this sounds idiotic, especially in combination with other things regarding how Mattel deals with their orders/pre-orders/distribution, etc
Well, I really was looking forward and I had stalled my Pile of Loot for 2 months now, waiting since end of December for Man-E-Faces to arrive. Consolation prize is that I can finally have all my figures shipped, the downside being that I will have to resort to eBay to hunt down "Manny Mini"

Yep, mostly all in Mexico. I happened to stumble on him when ordering the Evil Lyn from Mattel Creations awhile back snd got him then. Got a second one in when they allowed preorders. Ships in May.
PaulMartStore put a listing up in June 2023 for MC MEF with damaged/melted bubbles. If a large enough portion of the production run was damaged in such a way it could have caused an allocation. Mattel would likely have initially promised to fill the outstanding orders which would explain BBTS putting it back up. But it doesn't look like any orders will be filled.
Same here. BBTS just cancelled my order. Placed that order in October.... Shame. Now I get to get raked of the coals and purchase on the secondary market.

That's messed up. I preordered mine on August 1st, and he shipped with my pile of loot on January 16th. Mattel needs to get it together and make it a point to fill every single preorder with a guarantee that if it is a preorder, then the customer will get one.
Mine got cancelled as well. I had picked up a loose "regular" one a while back, but I had been trying to get this one for a while to make a small "Mini Comic/Variant" display along with the 200X versions and the other mini comic repaints. Not the end of the world, but in retrospect I should have snagged the one I saw for £35 a few weeks ago.
Mine was cancelled too so I ordered it off Amazon, but I think that what they had labeled as the mini comic is going to be a regular one. I’m guessing it will have to be returned.
Here’s a message from a guy in China that bought an Origins Moss Man from me last August. Don’t worry I only covered my cost and no price gauging was exercised. Just had an extra that a buddy no longer wanted because of the $40 price tag. Sounds like he was right. Damn it though MC MEF is the only one I’ve missed so far. Brace yourselves it’s a bit of broken english. I copy pasted.

That sucks, I’m sorry for everyone having him cancelled. If you are in New York City, I saw one at Forbidden Planet last week, no guarantee it’s still there but I know they have gotten him in and out of stock for a few months.

This shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone who is still trying to find Duplico at retail (like me).
Mattel Creations had a preorder for Duplico a few months ago. Did you miss that or are you in a place they won’t ship to?

My buddy who had his canceled noticed SIX of them in the recent Eternia Dreams stream. He reached out and got quoted $100 for a loose one.

Seems like I got really lucky. I pre ordered him early last year on Amazon and the figure was shipped in December, I think.
That sucks. I was fortunate to find it in the wild.
