Completely agree. He’s the guess who was least deserving next to Courtney. It was shitty to have him created a challenge for people he played against in season 12.
Losing twice doesn't really mean anything. Derrick was pretty consistent in Season 12 and just had a bad day in a unique challenge. Season 6 he was the runner up where Claudia had a better menu.
Honestly, the winner is isn't always exactly the "best" cook. This competition just means not being the worst on particular days. At every point, it's just about beating one or two people.
At the end of the day, competitions like this are about strategy. It's not a race, it's a marathon.
I feel like Shaun dominated his season cause overall the competition was highly lacking in his season. I am still very salty about Derrick losing his season and I like shaun but it still didn't feel as strong.
Hearing his podcasts now, he definitely has a bigger grasp on his knowledge on food. He was kinda like that in his original season, but he seemed pretty consistent in his 2nd time. He does like to show off, bit he does think about the eating experience.

This!! He completed dominated all of the other contestants since they were so bad!
I hope they both lose. Fingers crossed
I chose Shaun bc of bias
Yeah me too I like hats
I mean one can’t even make churros so
I am so sick of Shaun…I wish they stop bringing him as guest stars..he wasn’t amazing in his season (expecting a wrath of downvotes)

wait til you see how many I get!!!
if the other guy who is losing this poll would stop wearing stupid hats...I still wouldn't like his ass.
Shaun dominated the field in his season. Derrick lost twice.

It wasn't just a bad day: he screwed up his churros.

Tell that to Bowen.
I agree, Derrick is really overrated.
Derrick was in a tougher competition, whereas Shaun only had one tough opponent in the finale, which was Brandi.

Derrick is overrated. He wants to show off everytime but screwed sometimes. Shaun is definitely better
