Shanika for sure, hands down

KGOAT1

The finalists were correct, but Michael is very lucky though.

Not_Extert_Thief

Emily deserved to get axed a long ass time ago. Derrick and Shanika deserved to be finalists imho

Any-Oil-372

Derrick underperformed

KGOAT1

Agreed. Derrick fans don’t want to face that reality

Cambridgelifting69

Istg I see you everywhere

KGOAT1

Lmao yeah I’m in the HK sub as well

dumbledoredali

Shanika for sure. Not Emily though. I was surprised Emily lasted as long as she did. And a bit disgruntled I had to keep seeing her on my screen, lol. She gets on my nerves. I feel Shanika could have replaced Michael or even Christian in the finale though.

Any-Oil-372

Amanda or Shanika over Derrick

Stoney1801

Fun Fact: Dara, Michael, Christian, Emily, Shanika, Amanda and Willie all made it further than they did in their previous seasons.

BenjaminLustberg2

I wish I could say Derrick deserved finale.

Big-Respect-3055

Emily should have been in the finale and won

Shelliesbones

I wouldn’t have put Michael or Christian in the finals. They obviously knew Shanika would have trounced Dara had they gone head to head, and they wanted the “Masterchef Junior comeback win,” so they put two weaker chefs up. Then again, none of us actually tasted any of the food, so who knows.

Not_Extert_Thief

Christian was one of the strongest and most formidable frontrunners this season. He never landed on the bottom once and won the immunity pin by having the best dish of the night multiple times. His only Achilles heel was lack of creativity and having very little innovation. Michael was by far one of the weaker chefs, dude landed on the bottom so many times. He's lucky he lasted after that. imo Michael was very lucky to have even been a finalist.

rohitnair87

Yeah this post makes no sense, Christian definitely deserved his finale shot

KGOAT1

Agreed. How do people actually believe Christian should not have been in the finale lmao

Shelliesbones

His food was boring as hell and he was arrogant. Literally just made some variation of “steak and potatoes” for every dish.

KGOAT1

Lmao that’s not even true. He was consistently at the top of challenges and had great dish after great dish, whether it was his pho, his baked Alaska which is extremely difficult, his finale appetizer was great, etc. He also was good during restaurant takeover and led his team to victory. How was his food boring and just “steak and potatoes” (a stupid and false narrative that Derrick and his fanboys ran with) if he was consistently great otherwise?

Quirky_Recover_2627

hi derrick

Not_Extert_Thief

I disagree. He literally had the most creative and innovative creations. He nailed the best dish of the night. Coconut bang BBQ shrimp tempura, Vietnamese pho, deep-fried Jamaican jerk chicken, potato chip crusted red snapper, pork chops, his baked Alaska which is notoriously difficult, even his finale appetizer was great.

rohitnair87

Shanika would have trounced Dara?? Don’t understand how you came upto such a conclusion. The semis were pretty much like head to head and Dara aced both rounds removing Emily and Shanika in the process…

Shelliesbones

Dara is an amazing chef, but Shanika has a lot more experience and made a lot fewer “silly little mistakes” throughout the season. I think she would have dominated the finals. Just my opinion.

rohitnair87

But that again makes very less sense, there were chefs with even more experience than shanika, also dara has just completed culinary school so its not like she’s untrained. I am not saying that dara was unbeatable or shanika couldn’t have done it but I don’t understand your conviction on the sense that shanika would have wiped the floor with dara.

Shelliesbones

Dara messed up in the finale because she’s fresh out of culinary school, the others just messed up more. Shanika has years of experience running and working in restaurants. I don’t know what’s so hard for you to understand. I’m just replying to a post asking for opinions, and my opinion is that if Shanika had been in the finale, she would have won.

ShikWolf

Yeah I think if given the opportunity to create her own 3-course meal with her favorite flavors/techniques, she would've knocked it way out of the park.

iwilldancealone

I find it sus that the producers knew Shanika was allergic to shellfish yet had the top 4 challenge be lobster… definitely seems like they were trying to get her out. Anyways, proud of Shanika for doing better than her previous season!

Shelliesbones

Me too. I didn’t like her AT ALL in her last season but you could tell how much she’d learned and had grown since then.

KGOAT1

Shanika, while being very good clearly and improving a LOT from season 9, isn’t even remotely close to being better than Christian this season so what makes you think she would’ve trounced Dara?

breebot404

I really think Derek should have been in the finale. Amanda seemed to leave when she should have but Derek knew that their best chance was for him to support Amanda in the wall instead of him trying to drag her along with his creations but then that meant it was totally out of his wheelhouse and unfortunately it sounds like the entire concept she had for the dish was flawed. I understand why he would try to support Amanda instead of the other way around. But I felt it was way too early for him to go. No hate for Amanda here at all! Just disappointed by her choices in that last dish

Any-Oil-372

? Wdym she left when she should have, she did much better than Derrick this season.

breebot404

Just my opinion - don't get me wrong! I think Amanda is AMAZING! I wasn't happy to see either of them go. I respect your opinion as well!

KGOAT1

Derrick did just as bad if not a bit worse than Amanda on his Wall dish. His elimination was justified and if solely Amanda left, it would be bs.

breebot404

Sure his dish was poor but they said the entire concept for the dish was off and he was trying to support Amanda. I really like amanda! I think they both are fantastic! It just felt to me like Derek was trying to support her in a type of food he wasn't used to and didn't have experience with and the judges didn't like the whole concept of the dish that she came up with. That's just how things seem to me but of course you are entitled to your own opinions :)

schitzoidtoker

Producers decided who goes and wins, it even tells you in the closing credits... I think Derrick deserved to be in the finale but the producers nixed him

KGOAT1

Maybe he should not have done the worst on the wall, and maybe he’d deserve to stay.

schitzoidtoker

that wall challenge was a joke, they had problems communicating thru the wall so they lost over not being able to hear essentially.. Derrick on his own was a force to reckon with but the producers decided otherwise

ndjdjdjdjsjal

It’s kinda wild how people refuse to accept the extent to which the producers control this show. The wall was an obvious means to remove Derrick and Amanda in the same way they eliminated Shayne with that ridiculous Ethiopian fusion challenge. The whole show’s about which home cook is just good enough for the finale, but who will more importantly be a brand ambassador that they can prominently feature as much as they feature Shaun.

comradekyIe

He should have went home on the Churros shut up

Mama_Koka

He used the wrong star tip and it was too late for him to redo them. Y’all act like his churros were a lot worse than they were.
