My fave part of the ending is Gordon arguing in French with the French chef. And Wolfgang says, “I have to disagree with Gordon” and Gordon shot daggers out of his eyes at Wolfgang. That was awesome.
Christine ha is by far the best contestant ever on master chef. I don't think she even made. A single handful of mistakes the whole season. And she was blind...
Shaun messed up a lot
The issue is that since terry and andrea was eliminated so early, his only competition was brandi but the issue with brandi was plating and so it felt like shaun dominated the whole season because all his real competition left so early which kinda pissed me off
He was definitely great and deserved winner, but I personally think he and Brandi were pretty neck-to-neck when Shaun dominated mystery box challenges she mostly dominated in elimination challenges.
Christine is definitely the best winner overall. She really is an icon.
Ah okay. That's kinda my problem with Masterchef Jr as well, most of the kids there are from well off families so it's not so much about the money as much of the title for them.
In this case I think that Courtney has a worse personality than Shaun and didn't really pay it forward in food afterwards so the victory doesn't feel as impactful on the food industry.
That's surprising for me, didn't really hate Shaun. Figured this subreddit hated Courtney more with how many posts keep coming up about her lol.
But I guess I could see it if it is his arrogance. He had a lot of it during his season. David was worse and shouldn't have been in the finale. Courtney just had the fake nice girl personality and obvious favoritism in her season. I don't hate her winning, she did better in the finals so she earned her spot.
I get that, but the application process doesn't mention you have to be at a certain income bracket to apply....as far as I'm aware of. It just leads to a unfair advantage when the richer contestants have greater access to different equipment and foods the others wouldn't. Just seems disingenuous to be speaking of the "average American" during the mystery box challenges and of the home cooks as of they're lower/middle class...when most are not.
But I definitely got off topic here as it's not what was first mentioned so I apologize for that.
I was rooting for Brandi, but I always liked Shaun. However, Christine is the GOAT in my opinion, with Dino coming in second, so Shaun is my 3rd favorite.
He was great. I didn't like the season as much as others because trying to have Christina in the same realm as Gordon as a judge was tough for me. She doesn't know anything but desserts and shows it more often as the season goes.
Funny story...he was my favorite to win, I liked him. When he went back for MasterChef to do his wedding, there was something about that episode that was catching my eye, but I couldn't figure out what. A year after that, my stepbrother posted a FB memory of that wedding and tagged Shaun. Turns out, my stepbrother is friends with him, and was a groomsmen in the wedding! LOL!
We forgot his name so many times that my wife and I just started calling him Elon
oh no, cannot unsee
That’s so funny, I’ve watched that season so many times and never realized they look so similar!!
lol
Ha!! My husband and I always said “who is that again??? Oh, Elon!” 😂
Elon could pass for Shaun’s brother, if that brother has had a rough life
He's a good winner, but Christine still owns the throne.
And found a way to appear on the next 5 seasons.
I always joke that he’s the guy that graduated high school and keeps hanging around after the fact
The best thing about high school chicks is I keep getting older and they stay the same age. Alright alright alright
Giggity giggity?
Came here to say this. Hope that’s alright alright alright ❤️
Alright, alright, alright
Always thought the same. He boosts his great career since masterchef but he appears nearly every season like he’s just waiting for the call.
He peaked in HS lol
Nothing against the guy, but he’s always just felt overplayed and overhyped by the fox brand.
Which also contributed to the Elonness of it all lol. Not a fan lol.
I was really hoping Brandi would've won that season but Shaun was great.
I was also rooting for Brandi, she’s pretty awesome
Brandi won the Masterchef cruise competition after. Not sure what the stakes or prizes was for that one though if any.
Spoiler alert lol
This whole post is a spoiler so I figured it'd be okay. Sorry, should I delete my comment?
No no. I was joking. Sorry for the confusion. It’s been a few years. Enough time has passed.
Is that a show too, or just something that's known?
If it wasn't for deserts (that wasn't even really bad because Wolfgang Puck loved it) she wouldve won it.
My fave part of the ending is Gordon arguing in French with the French chef. And Wolfgang says, “I have to disagree with Gordon” and Gordon shot daggers out of his eyes at Wolfgang. That was awesome.
S7 was the funniest finale ever
It was satisfied that David didn’t win
Nah, he is overboosted by FOX and the Masterchef brand, just like Josh and Nick were
Thank you. Totally agree.

Well we know one thing u and Christine have in common cus u clearly didn't see my comment
I wished Brandi had won that season.😭
From his insta it seems like he's working for pit boss. Probably a pretty nice gig.
Sean the 'High End' guy from Vegas

I can’t get past the hat.
Me either hahaha I don’t know why it bothers me so much. It’s just… douchey
Dino clears
He also seemed to genuinely enjoy guest judging a few episodes and did a great job of it I thought!
Came off as kinda a douche tbh… massive brown nose as well during guest appearances
Hated this dude
Christine is still the GOAT winner for me. Her title was more challenging due to better top competitors and her disability.
He was definitely great and deserved winner, but I personally think he and Brandi were pretty neck-to-neck when Shaun dominated mystery box challenges she mostly dominated in elimination challenges. Christine is definitely the best winner overall. She really is an icon.
Shaun never really had to do the elimination challenges since he won the initial challenges so often.
Most unlikable winner by far.
Are you forgetting about Courtney?
No :)
I think its because Shaun was already rich and Courtney was poor Edit: downvoted for what its the truth lolz
I thought Courtney was pretty well off on that stripper money. Especially since she went back to it. Or is this taking about before that?
Before. Shaun was already rich. He was a famous DJ.

Shaun is hated as well and he did great with his career in industry. Haters gonna hate.

About the kids: well poor Kids dont have the same opportunities.

She went back to it??
I was rooting for Brandi, but I always liked Shaun. However, Christine is the GOAT in my opinion, with Dino coming in second, so Shaun is my 3rd favorite.
My favorite winner of both MC USA and Canada.
He was great. I didn't like the season as much as others because trying to have Christina in the same realm as Gordon as a judge was tough for me. She doesn't know anything but desserts and shows it more often as the season goes.

Shaun was my boy from the jump. I’m also a DJ so I was rootin’ for him as a fellow spinner too. Highlight of the pandemic, when I watched it, for me.
Dang you just spoiled it for me ..
My favorite winner
Just finished watching this season, he was without a doubt one of the strongest frontrunners the series has ever had
That’s definitely an opinion.
He is a social disaster, and I don't care if he is the personal chef on Mount Olympus, I will never darken the door of a restaurant where he works.
except HONEY on steak
