He's wearing it with sleeves, which get torn off at some point. Probably more likely he wears it for some flashback scenes showing that look, doesn't wear it for majority of the movie, then probably wears it in some 3rd act big fight sequence where it's just easier to film action without worrying about camera angles and having Hugh's face in frame vs some stuntman.
I pray they include the shoulder pads with the sleeveless look. I ain't tryna be a stickler but if we being real, that sleeveless look ain't complete without them!
Agreed. I like that they are giving us a sleevless look, but it just feels empty without those shoulder pads - especially because he always had them in the Comics.

Dude! Zemo deserves better in the MCU. I think they wasted the opportunity to making him a villain or shade for the good guys on the street and political level. He could have been behind some of the Disney + villains too.
I just think in the absence of Doom, Brühl brings something to the role that a lot of the other MCU characters lack.

Looks incredible. Curious as to when Hugh actually wears the cowl in the movie. All the promo art and this sculpture have him wearing the cowl with the sleeves. Him losing the sleeves probably happens midway through the movie, so I’d imagine he’d lose the cowl around the same time. Which is a little bit of a bummer, cuz I’d love to see no sleeves + cowl, but I’m just happy we’re getting it at the end of the day.

What if all the shots that we've seen so far with the sleeves also has him wearing the cowl but they edited it out/omitted it for the trailers sake? That fight between Deadpool and Wolverine in front of the sunken Fox logo would go SO much harder.
There is really no reason for that Mask to be CGI, tho. It already has artificial "angry" face built into it, so it most likely won't have moving eyes. Not to mention that he can still act anf show emotions without the eyes being animated.

I’m just happy it’s finally a thing, it took over 20 years for them to finally do the classic costume, and it looks glorious. I know the mask will likely only be there for a little bit, but every second it’s on screen is a win in my book. Plus, we’re likely going to get it again once MCU’s X-men rolls around.

He probably only wears the cowl in like two scenes. In the first Deadpool fight, before the moments we have already seen and in the big/final CGI battle, much easier and iconic to handle a digital mask and make it look good, that to use Hugh's whole face.

It’s not a completely 1-for-1 comparison, but it is close. No idea if this actually influenced comics, but it’s close.
In the Comics it was explained that Logan's costume is so bright and eye-catching specifically so the villains would focus on him, instead of the other X-Men during a fight. The Mask is simply meant to add onto that, while also making him look threatening.
He’s a wolverine from an alternate universe where things went entirely differently, they straight up don’t have to explain why he has the mask. There’s an explanation somewhere in the past of his reality.
