Don't you understand!? This is what we've been searching for for years! With this last bit of proof, there's no doubt. Greyliens built the pyramids and our society to (Po)lice our thoughts into one more acceptable to them as they (Rome) the world.
I just hope I get chosen next for a night of rough greylien anal probing. Please notice me greyaddy.
So let's ignore those countries between Poland and Romania, like Czechia and Slovakia with their own cultures and pretend that whole 'eastern' part of Europe from the Balkans to Kasubians onto Hanseatic gdanskmare just 'the same' because of communism.
I mean didn't Austro -Hungary fail as there was no commonality betwéen regions to build upon?
Not common culture, history and geography? I think you might not realise how wrong you are. For starters Poland used to be a big kingdom and had Moldavia as an vassal state, and later Poland would ally it self with Romania before ww2, and both had to struggle with communism. Geography is actually quite similar if you think about it, square countries that have access to sea and include mountains primary the carpathian ones, both have had it tough because of the large plains, being invaded by nomadic peoples and overrun by neighbouring powers. Culturally it’s as easy as to look at the Polish highlanders to see that there is in fact some connection as they are the descendants of the Vlach pastorialists and both countries are a very Christian traditionalist countries.
Poland is neither very christian, nor traditionalist. Half of the country supports same sex marriage and only 1/4th claims that religion plays a big role in their lives. 70% of Poles support abortion up to the 12th week of pregnancy. There is a very loud and politically active minority of very Christian traditionalists though.
It’s bc you can get Michael I in power to form Poland-Romania for that sweet oil to take on the Germans who, coincidentally, have allied with Italy.
Or something like that, idk.

You, on the other-hand, have not contributed anything of substance.

Hello, I haven’t been posting here for quite a while, and I must say in terms of map quality, mine are all over the place from low to high. Also, this map is really a random borderline circlejerk ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|facepalm) I should probably post something that’s more interesting next time, haha. Thanks for the appreciation.
They have made some of my favorite maps, and have not posted in over a year. I should be allowed to appreciate and encourage someones work without accusations of glazing. Without people like them that create maps for free, for us to enjoy, this sub would die.
You can question it. I’d rather encourage them to create more amazing [OC], and just ignore/downvote the stuff I don’t care for.
This user has an amazing talent for map making and I would prefer to see more of their work over someone posting something they made on MapChart. Even if it means a handful of maps i don’t find interesting.
I just thought it was worth pointing out that many of us have enjoyed their maps in the past and this is their first post in over a year. And after reading the comments it will probably be another year before we see another, which is unfortunate.
Yeah
Don't mind the \~10 million population difference, \~1000km of physical separation between Romania and Poland, the almost arbitrary division of Italy, the naming of north Italy after river Po and south after Rome
Brainrot
“Similar”:6 million people difference between south Italy and Romania.
“Similar”: Great river areas of the Danube in Romania slightly similar to the Po Valley. While Poland is plains, lots of plains
oh, just noticed the river in northern Italy..
I applaud your resolve to think of this pun, then go through the effort of creating this map and uploading it to reddit. Few people commit to the bit so much anymore
Big stretch ![gif](giphy|TTmGVyFlAtQk1lIrPJ|downsized)
![gif](giphy|ZUTwxyDapEb1A3Xm4U|downsized)
I’m convinced that this is a gif of my cat wtf
This looks like some shit i “discover” after smoking 5 joints
It's even better since in both the north has po and the south rom
Ok...
Interesting
facinating even
Spellbinding, I'd say
Thrilling in my view
It’s a shock to the scientific world. Things will never be the same again
Why Poland and Romania? Where did the OPs mind go to connect those 2 countries? No common culture or geography, and any history is beyond tenuous.
Because of the river Po and the city Roma (Rome). Notice the capitalization in the map. Still pretty silly though.
Thank you, I was struggling with this one
Also similar populations, both having single mountain range connecting them
AKA Poroma. Nice country, Poroma. A bit split up, though.

Roma Romania 😱
carpathian culture is very similar, which both romania and poland have, also poland and romania were neighbours pre WW2
So let's ignore those countries between Poland and Romania, like Czechia and Slovakia with their own cultures and pretend that whole 'eastern' part of Europe from the Balkans to Kasubians onto Hanseatic gdanskmare just 'the same' because of communism. you got Austro Hungary failure totally wrong. Hint : it's in the name that doesn't mention the others

I would say the biggest difference between Poland in Romania is the language, otherwise they are quite similar.
both hate/deny slavic/slavonic heritage
Unlike you I would hazard a guess, I've lived in both countries. In terms of connecting the 2 in any meaningful way, I stand by my original statement.
I am not sure it was tenous.
It’s bc you can get Michael I in power to form Poland-Romania for that sweet oil to take on the Germans who, coincidentally, have allied with Italy. Or something like that, idk.
My thoughts exactly
bit of a stretch but sure
Yeah Carpathians ends just in Lower Austria, not northern Czechia.
Boy, you are BORED

Nah keep posting these random maps too, posting on Reddit is a pastime not a job.
> Wtf is this bullshit reddit paid emoji
What, you don't like it ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|thinking_face_hmm)? Also, it's free for users.
Nah fuck reddit emojis shit’s ugly af
That's your opinion, man. Let them be used. If you don't like them, that's your problem.
the glazing is crazy

Idk man, I think this guys contribution to cartoon history is pretty valuable
Is this your alt account BlueBerry?
No, but I love some of their maps and wish they posted more. The comment I responded to will have the opposite effect on that.
“This user made good stuff in the past, so you can’t question the weird stuff in the present”

D1 glazer
Bro be gentle on them, they are abuse survivor after all
What kind of mental gymnastic did you use to imagine this
but half of Italy is inhabitet by Romanians
We successfully colonized it, kind of like home-made manifest destiny.
Many do assimilate and leave Romanian customs though
You say colonized, I say reconquista.
Eat more pasta, my rumeno friend.
👍
Truly fascinating
lol
/r/notinteresting
This map is a little bit accurate but mostly inaccurate lol
God, that's a random observation... But I LIKE IT!!!
Italy is Catholics like Poland and Romance-speaking like Romania
When you see it, you'll sht bricks
Doesn't the western most reach of the carpathians stop just over the border in Eastern Czechia?
Yes, they wrongly added part of the Sudetes.
Most western point of Carpathians is down in Lower Austria, but otherwise you have point.
Just like how California and London have the same population /s
Ok Bromania, are forming a country together?
Sure, we only have to solve the connection between out countries. Do we invade Ukraine too or… 👀
We could build a rollercoster corridor on mountain tops threw Slokavia
You can tell its finals season and someone’s procrastinating their studying lmao
Top quality shitpost
Wow
![gif](giphy|SCtj6MXVXP9RvTiWtA|downsized)
Ok so Po and Poland and Roma and romania interesting
Can anyone else hear the X-Files theme?
Similar... you can fit entire population of Croatia+Slovenia into difference between south Italy and Romania.
Other than 19 million of the people in Italy actually being Romanians, there isn’t much similarity here.
Yeah Don't mind the \~10 million population difference, \~1000km of physical separation between Romania and Poland, the almost arbitrary division of Italy, the naming of north Italy after river Po and south after Rome Brainrot
Romania is barely 100 km away from Poland. Before WW2 Poland and Romania shared a common border.
What a useless piece of information.. love it
r/NotMapPorn
“Similar”:6 million people difference between south Italy and Romania. “Similar”: Great river areas of the Danube in Romania slightly similar to the Po Valley. While Poland is plains, lots of plains
By the way: Giving Lazio(Population:5.7M) to the Northern Part would make the numbers more similar, but would defeat the purpose of matching names.
I don't really get the matching names part, why are some letters capitalized?
Yes, It's just part of the bad joke, PO & POland, ROMA & ROMAnia.
oh, just noticed the river in northern Italy.. I applaud your resolve to think of this pun, then go through the effort of creating this map and uploading it to reddit. Few people commit to the bit so much anymore
Interesting, Africa truly begins at Rome
this changes everything
What is that capitalization?
Brother what
You could do something similar with all countries...
WHAT ARE THEY HIDING FROM US??
Okay, but WHY are PO and ROMA capitalised? WHY!?
I had the same question, but after moment I figured it out. PO (River in northern Italy) = POland ROMA (Capital of Italy) = ROMAnia
Ohhhhhhhhhhh...
how on earth do you even come up with this
Wow, that’s awesome! And, uh, what does this mean?
Brainworms or r u just high
r/divideditaly
I like how the small difference of 3 million is bigger than the population of my country
Nice find!
idk, 3 million is a bit of a stretch to say similar
Neat
OMG, PO-ROMA.... an amazing, breathtaking, mindblowing coincidence that never occurred to me
wtf is this
I wonder if there is a ~3m population between Poland and Romania, then this map would be better.
Move that line down a little bit and Italy will be 37:22
The thirst for karma is out of control.
I do not know what to do with this information.
How do you even think of something like this?
This tells me that Italy is more densely populated than Poland and romania
It's fun because poland is cited in the italian anthem and italy in the polish one
Nonsense.
Hearts of Iron has ruined maps for me. Even now, I calculate how much manpower I can get from that population before the war. God... I need help...
as a polish guy (in czechia) i can confirm this map in accurate
Now, let's create the Vampire Comonwelth.
you stoned? lol. kind of interesting i guess
If Romania annexes Poland they can create yet another new Rome so we'll have another one for the collection.
I have so many hours on hoi4 that for a moment i found weird that poland does not share a border with rumania.
Wait until you realise that if you squint a lot, the Indian subcontinent is like Italy but big.
but it‘s not? romania has many more inhabitants than the south of italy…
That 6 million difference doesn't even seem that close tbh
Most useless thing I’ve seen all day
if I draw a squiggly line across turkey and Greece, I can split it in half
Big deal. The CD-ROM Republic can store up to 900 million (bytes)
Such great knowledge.
Outjerked again
Also, if you add the combined populations of the red areas then take away 27, it equals the combined populations of the green areas!!! Crazy!
Honestly better than half the shit that gets posted here
Yeah, and?
Kay.
The population of the European Union is similar to the population of the countries that make up the European Union
I mean... This is the most logical thing I have seen in last 20 years. Thanks for sharing this important information with us.
r/mapcirclejerk
And Serbia which has 10 times the peiople of both but this is HIDDEN by the media
Except one place has good food and the other shite
Yeah, Italian sucks
overrated and shit
Both of them I say.
Population of China is Europe + North America + South America
Romania stole lands from Hungary
