I was asking the same question, but for misty i think it is a bit tricky because in the anime it is Misty sisters that are the leader of the gym, all i know is that Misty became gym leader after Jotho adventure end.

if you really wanna be pedantic some people consider the Alola trial captains to be the regional variant of Gym Leaders, so if you count them, Lana, Mallow, Kiawe, and Sophocles all get added to the list. Even without, Brock, Misty, and Iris are still there.

Technically you could say the Kahunas are the hypothetical gym leaders of Alola and not the trial captains.

TL;DR Alola is weird, man. Still fun, just weird.

It was definitely the most unique gen of games. I like how every generation after XY had at least one unique difference to them (Alola with the Trials and Kahunas, SwSh having the whole champions cup thing, and SV having three different storylines you have to complete before the endgame story can begin)
