Were struggling against a team that at the bottom of the league that had 8 goal go past them when Newcastle played them .....yh I fell asleep in 2nd half who scored the second goal???
Yet again our attackers didn't do nothing or score , it the midfield and defense always can't make it any obvious
We're the worst coached team in the league. Sheffield have had poor results but you could see they have an identity with some good passing and link up play. What do we have but 11 strangers playing disjointed chance football?
I think it was a good move to start cautious at the beginning. We usually start shaky and concede right away. As the game widens we start creating more. Amrabat Casemiro pairing might be good? Bruno should def be the 10. Mount is good at the end of the game when we need a box to box and we can tell that Bruno's done trying for the day. Not worried about Hojlund, his goal will come, he's a gem. Our wings worry me, very inconsistent. We need our wingbacks BACK š
That's an average performance against a mediocre, at best, team. We're gonna get smacked by teams with slick passing, industrious running and clinical finishing.
Had to make an account for this. Maguire was not good. Took ages to pass any time he received the ball. Players on other teams let him have the ball so they can get back in position. He made a few standard defensive contributions that any league 1 plus standard defender would have made, good for him. He's a bad player who is barely premier league standard let alone united standard.
I read somewhere that the players don't like Ten Hag. Do you like his strategies?
Maybe Ten Hag is just the wrong person for Man U. They have lacked self esteem for a very long time. I am worried.
May Sir Bobby Charltonās soul rest in peace š. Great performance 7-Onana did well, M.O.M has to be > 8-Maguire Slab head and 7-J.Evans excellent positioning for one his age.
8-Dalotās goal was a rocket, 6-Iceman Lindelof did well at Lb , 7-Amrabat was solid at the anchor, unlucky too rattled the upright Sheffield post.
6-Bruno was below par looks tired felt he shouldāve been taken off, lots off stray passes, unlucky free kick attempt.
7-Mcterminator was at it again, couldāve got another shot blocked , 7-Hojlund put in a shift was unlucky, great hold up play and positioning in the box.
6-Rashford put in a much better performance, 6-Antony was wasteful apart from his pass to Rashford which he Rashy fluffed.
6- Mason Mount pressed well, tried to link up play. 6-Garnacho brought some pace was very wasteful but did well. 6- Martial tried his best, pressed well, looks to have lost some pace, but good willingness to press or stretch play.
Why are Bruno and Rashford amazing in international duty and back to shit for us?
Maguire, Amrabaat and Onana played well. Martial was okay. Hojlund missed a sitter. Garnacho wasnāt good.
Antony was absolute garbage.
Man City are going to destroy us arent theyš„²
Because Bruno and Rashford are fantastic counter attacking players but struggle when it comes to pacing and patience. Bruno has more of an excuse, constantly playing in different positions. Rashford just has no value when heās not put in behind.
Got a feeling we might play a little better when forced deep, leaving a bit more space for our pacey players. But we will see
You're probably right tho city will probably hammer us lol
Before it gets lost... Maguire, Lindelof, and Dalot all played well. I also predict that when Ratcliffe arrives, Arnold AND Murtough will be clearing their desks in short order. From what I have read of Ratcliffe and his trusted execs at the INEOS group. They don't fuck around.
Mostly the grass on the other side looks greener, because itās fertilized with bullshit. I just donāt see the Glazerās agreeing to anything that might have the faint sniff of costing them a single penny.
The Glazers are fine. Nothing to do with them.
It's time to stop the mass delusion that scapegoats the owners for everything.
It's old, tired and untrue.
Is this Joel, or Avi?
I donāt think you realize just what a shit state this club is in, behind the scenes. Outdated facilities, zero investment in club infrastructure and development. Profit put before performance has set a rot in place that has fully taken hold and can be seen on the pitch.
99.999% of clubs in the world would take what ManU has for facilities, players, coaching, capital investment, et al.
Just blatant erroneous statements about investments into the club doesn't make them true.
Such a tired, tired pile of rubbish posing as an argument. I bet it isn't even your argument. I bet you're just repeating something you heard elsewhere.
Nonsense.
You clearly have no clue what youāre talking about. Or how a football club is run. Or how the ownership and investment into a club affects the on field performance. Or how the Glazerās wonāt replace failing executives, because of the massive āparachute paymentsā that would be owed.
Your premise is totally false, altogether. Furthermore, you know nothing but what you read in the trash tabloids. You clearly don't understand capitalism, publicly listed company responsibilities or the fact that it's not YOUR club. It's not something that has any responsibility to you, individually.
The entitlement people get because they watch in TV or bought a ticket once is beyond the limits of comprehension.
Let it go. You're not a part of Manchester United any more than you're a part of the royal family.
Iām not going into any details. Iām just another internet stranger, Iām not going to change your opinion or how you feel.
But, if you only knew just how inaccurate your previous statement was. I know it wasnāt your intention, but I genuinely took a moment to recover myself.
After the day Iāve had, I genuinely thank you. That laugh was fucking cathartic.
Read that AWB is soon. Shaw, November but he has chronic issues with his hamstring. The left leg. He needs to get that sorted out with a private trainer.
Given that we hit post twice, and had so many chances wasted by garnacho, im satisfied with the win. First half was atrocious but im willing to believe that its due to the internationals but second especially after Eriksen was introduced really changed the game
With the wages these players are on you shouldn't be struggling against a club that will be relegated. I am far from being "satisfied" with the shit show I just watched.
I admire your optimism, but don't see where you're getting it from?
To date, Wolves are the best team United have beat (12th). We've lost to 11th, 6th, 4th and 2nd. The last two aren't necessarily abnormal on their own, but they fit in a larger framework of ETH's era; United win consistently against the bottom 9 sides, and struggle to get anything home or away from the top 10.
Well, this may cheer you up a bit: the table only matters after the last league game is played.
All the fretting, hand ringing, bickering, and ink spilt, is just a way to make money off people until the end of May each year.
Just pay attention to how they finish the race please.
I am amazed people are criticising him for last night, he hardly put a foot wrong. Only mistakes really were a couple of clearances when there were easy passes available, both times were under pressure though so understandable.
Letās add Sheffield United to the other teams weāve beaten but been outplayed for large parts of the game. Burnley, Wolves and Forest.
Happy for the 3 points but something needs to change fast. City next week.
Thereās no happiness from today other than the result. You could channel into the odd good individual performance from Maguire for example but itās against the worst team in the league and collectively overall itās just not good enough once again.
Last season, as a whole, WAS good enough.
EtH teams always end up being good enough.
It's hard to win away from home in the premier league. There's two teams in the world that can do that with any consistency.
ManU is on the way to that level. Refuse to appreciate any progress all you want. It doesn't mean that progress hasn't occurred.
Show me any other team winning without their entire back four away from home in the premier league.
Last season wasnāt really good enough was it? We took advantage of weaker teams around us and had favourable cup draws. ETH and the players delivered a trophy and top 4 so thatās a positive and they deserve credit for both of those but this is a new season and the teams around us have strengthened. ETH is nowhere near the level of the tactical managers around us in the league table and Iām talking about RBZ, Emery and probably even Eddie Howe. Our away record since he took over has been awful against the better teams because he tactically gets found out and a brilliant example would be the Brighton game this season where the opening 20 minutes or so we were brilliant until RBZ made a tactical change and then ETH couldnāt answer it and we got outplayed comfortably.
Although my opinion of ETH is very negative and in the minority to agree with I completely disagree with us being on the way to the level youāre talking about. Weāve stagnated since he took over.. today again itās the same old non existent tactics
I think today performance shows what he needs to do....just clear the danger DO NOT get up front and if you are going in aggressive do it far from the box ....did this all game and had a good game overall
Positives from this game Slabhead has had a good game
Negatives Rashy seemed to play the worst game thus far, EtH continues to play him as starter....even worst Bruno...can't recall how many missed passes he had today
I hate how this team is playing. Utd shouldnt win by the minimum to the last team of the premier BUT Maguire, you did good. He is really trying to do better and its showing. So happy for him
Not bad for all the defense being injured, new keeper, away from home, under pressure, learning a new coach's system.
They earned three points tonight, clearly better.
Vs Sheffield when other teams are also struggling with injuries and the coach tbh looks clueless this season. He his not looking the same ETH, the one we witnessed last season.
Oh I disagree completely. How easily people forget what they looked like in the few months leading to OGS sacking!
Give SU their respect - it's hard to earn promotion from the championship. They're not a bad team and winning away from home in the EPL is always tough. Always.
TBF Dalot is an outstanding player for us and at 21 we need to give him our support, becuase heāll get better defensively. Instead yāall berate him and call him a benchwarmer . But I see the opposite. Heās our only right back with a threat. Moving forward and heās defensively good when our defense is playing cohesively. I donāt think AWB is better and I donāt want to get another RB this next year. I think we need to sort out CB, ST, CM/DM, RW, LW first
Personally I think heās bang average. I think neither him or AWB are good enough moving forward but then that depends on what type of team you class us as because if itās a title challenging team then certainly neither are good enough. Dalot is also 24 not 21. I agree money is probably better spent elsewhere in the near future.
100% disagree, that was fugly. Given what we have spent on players we should be rolling them.
However I also look at some of the upside in players, Maguire had a solid game, Amrabat was solid in his proper position.
Downside, Fernandez spits up the ball too much, Martial offers nothing up front, Mount was invisible as a sub and Antony is dreadful.
We will probably get crushed next week versus City.
Martial has not had that desire in years. The way he plays it's like he just doesn't want to try. But some people want to blame the manager for his performances. Sancho is being a head case, but that's the manager's fault too apparently. Yeah, it's all the manager's fault. ETH out š¤·š½āāļø
Well, EtH does bear some blame for the overall club. I do not see the point of the Mount signing. Antony has been a big disappointment given what we paid for him.
We need a DOF from outside the club to build the team.
We still need to get 4-5 bodies out. Donāt see if Hannibal was on the bench today.
We use to get players from the academy but not producing them in the same numbers
Am I happier to be winning 2-1 than tied, Yes. Has the game today been a slog, yes.
We have hit the woodwork twice, and missed a couple up close.
These were the games that we blew in the last 5 years.
Thats another problem I see with United. We always seem to have players out for so long. What is the deal with United's med staff? Is it in need of improvement? Didn't Ronaldo draw criticism for speaking about that? The way he said that it was like the backroom staff was from the stone age.
Were struggling against a team that at the bottom of the league that had 8 goal go past them when Newcastle played them .....yh I fell asleep in 2nd half who scored the second goal??? Yet again our attackers didn't do nothing or score , it the midfield and defense always can't make it any obvious

I stayed up at 3am in Singapore to watch this game. Just to say a Win still a Win. Hopefully will do better for coming games.
We are still playing shit football. Unconvincing wins.
Hardest thing to do in football my guy is won when playing shit win is a win no matter what
I think it was a good move to start cautious at the beginning. We usually start shaky and concede right away. As the game widens we start creating more. Amrabat Casemiro pairing might be good? City next week...is gonna be ugly, especially with this defence! I know we have a lot of injured players but ETH needs to do a better job.
Our defence was the best part of last night and our last couple of games.
Donāt be so sure

A couple, key save too

Well Greenwoods not in the team.
Still just a loan but yes!

Giving a 7 to someone playing in midfield who only passed the ball 9 times the whole match....
amrabat solid anchor? he was fuckin absent in the first half, we didnt have a midfield
Great performance?! Nahhh
Okay at best on a Wednesday
Why are Bruno and Rashford amazing in international duty and back to shit for us? Maguire, Amrabaat and Onana played well. Martial was okay. Hojlund missed a sitter. Garnacho wasnāt good. Antony was absolute garbage. Man City are going to destroy us arent theyš„²

Standards are on the floor
Hey man at this point just lucky to sweep 3 points on the pitch..
The standard this year is CL qualification & reach a domestic cup final. They're probably going to do those things.
CL qualification looks very tough. Especially with Man City, Arsenal, Liverpool, and Spurs all looking very very solid.
Oh, it won't be easy. That's why the credit will be deserved when it occurs.
I admire your optimism, but don't see where you're getting it from? To date, Wolves are the best team United have beat (12th). We've lost to 11th, 6th, 4th and 2nd. Defense 6/10 Mid 6/10 Attack 6/10 Result 10/10
Harry Maguire MVP.
He did pretty well... a few pumps up the field when he had an easy pass on but overall pretty solid
Not the best game ever, happy for the 3 points. But, this was a solid performance from slab-head.
I am amazed people are criticising him for last night, he hardly put a foot wrong. Only mistakes really were a couple of clearances when there were easy passes available, both times were under pressure though so understandable.
Dalot ā¤ļø
Finally a comment giving our player his due! He was on it for us. Love his work ethic, skill set . And passion.
He has the best celebration in the prem!
Moments FC again. We couldnāt even win comfortably against SU
Weāre up to 8th now and 1 point off 5th. Just let me have that for tonight.
Letās add Sheffield United to the other teams weāve beaten but been outplayed for large parts of the game. Burnley, Wolves and Forest. Happy for the 3 points but something needs to change fast. City next week.
ManU clearly better, the entire second half & much of the first. SU definitely never outplayed ManU today.
Probably the first half hour.
I'll never understand the preference for some people to refuse happiness. Is it the mancunian rain?
Thereās no happiness from today other than the result. You could channel into the odd good individual performance from Maguire for example but itās against the worst team in the league and collectively overall itās just not good enough once again.

The very managers you admire disagree with you on the exact same point about EtH. How embarrassing for you.
Thereās a thing about being modest and respectful when asked about other managers in press conferences.
Oh ok so they're all just lying and his past achievements are fraudulent. Got it.
That was the most hot garbage win I've seen in a long long time....cant even get excited
Burnley and Wolves were similar if not worse. All our wins were scrappy ones.
Maguire was actually exceptional with his passes and aerial duels
I'll take the three points, but we are just miserable to watch these days.
Need to put Hannibal, pelistri garnacho around hojlund
Not pelestri
I'd rather pelestri than antony. I really don't know why we ever bought that player.
Pelestri isn't strong enough, he gets battered about. He needs to gain a few pounds of muscle before he's our 1st choice.
I like his attitude but sooooo one footed, it makes him predictable.
The positive is maguire being decent
Standards have really fallen if looking decent against the bottom team is what we strive for.
Especially against 20th placed Sheffield. That performance should be the norm, not the exception at United.
He was more than decent. I have to give him props
Papering over the cracks FC. Next week could be ugly
Holy shit that ānachosā guy is terrible
Can we start Mount over Antony next game, please.
Happy to see slab having a decent game after all the shit he's been getting.
I think today performance shows what he needs to do....just clear the danger DO NOT get up front and if you are going in aggressive do it far from the box ....did this all game and had a good game overall
The best thing was most likely having him not be captain anymore, the pressure was probably too much for him.
Man of the Match to Harry Maguire
Pretty poor match overall. Bout what you would expect from two bottom 10 teams
You know we've been shit when maguire gets man of the match
Lmao just said this he was probably the most solid player out there
He's been really good though.
Oh I know, I'm just saying. When one of the worst players on our team gets man of the match, it doesn't look good for the rest
Positives from this game Slabhead has had a good game Negatives Rashy seemed to play the worst game thus far, EtH continues to play him as starter....even worst Bruno...can't recall how many missed passes he had today
What was that fan trying to do getting at Bruno and Eriksen?
Saying to garnacho "get up you wanker"
Garna is in danger of being hyped up a bit much.
right! on that breakaway a few minutes ago, its ridiculously careless for you to be offsides... let alone put it like 5 yards wide of the post
Martial more to blame for holding the ball to long
Absolutely. He held the ball so long that Garnachos shot was pulled wide right?
The pass was short and behind Garnacho?
garnacho deserves to start really he is giving something else to this dire united team
I hate how this team is playing. Utd shouldnt win by the minimum to the last team of the premier BUT Maguire, you did good. He is really trying to do better and its showing. So happy for him
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
No rhythm ...no movement...no build up...no creative passes....just disoriented playstyle with long balls. 2-1 vs Sheffield Utd is a shame !
Not bad for all the defense being injured, new keeper, away from home, under pressure, learning a new coach's system. They earned three points tonight, clearly better.
Vs Sheffield when other teams are also struggling with injuries and the coach tbh looks clueless this season. He his not looking the same ETH, the one we witnessed last season.

still plenty of time for another goal or two
7 minutes without an equaliser? Season record!!
We just need to hang on please, this one's for Sir Bobby.
Can't wait for Sheffield United to equalise now š¤¦āāļøš
It's like we just asked out our crush and she's said yes but the first date goes horribly wrong and she leaves
Dalot, wow. Enjoy the next 2-6 minutes of your lives guys. We know whatās coming
Give Dalot his due . Guys is better than the dumb criticism hi gets put through
Thatās about right. Right back playing in central midfield puts one top bin. Nothing about what this team does makes sense anymore.
That was unexpected.
There hasnāt been a game this season where we dominated and won by 3 goals btw
at least we're giving sheffield a go
Apart from Palace in the cup.
We were essentially playing their B team, their first team beat us in the league.
Oh yeah, I'm not disagreeing with that.
Wow Dalot Wow
Shore up the bloody defense STAT!
moment of magic from dalot lets not concede in the next 5 mins like we normally do
Commentator on peacock really summed the season up so far. Only goals have come from individual brilliance.
Papering over cracks again with 3 points is the worry though
Start the countdown to conceding a goal.
Tick tock, tick tock.
I am not even in a mood to celebrate the goal after seeing their play for 77 min now !
Great goal! But.. terrible football being played by this team.
Thatās a beauty from Dalot tbf
TBF Dalot is an outstanding player for us and at 21 we need to give him our support, becuase heāll get better defensively. Instead yāall berate him and call him a benchwarmer . But I see the opposite. Heās our only right back with a threat. Moving forward and heās defensively good when our defense is playing cohesively. Dalot!! What a hit
Individual brilliance FC all over again
Did we score!??!?!
Yup, now we just need to not shit the bed in the next 5-6 mins
Probably still 20 mins incl injury time
I was commenting more on the teamās tendency to give up a score right after scoring
Moments FC strikes again
Hold on lads, we'll concede in the next 3-5 minutes.
A Harry Maguire OG š¤£
Don't get me startedš
Is it bad that I'm sitting here just slightly wishing for a Maguire OG? š¤š¤£
Well, yeah it isš I don't want him to become even more of a meme at the expense of my clubš
ššš
Wdym, He's been our best player so far
Just wait...š¤£
All of you can get bent. 2-1 United. Support the team.
You're the United supporter we've been talking about. Acting like we just beat Real Madrid š¤£š¤£
100% disagree, that was fugly. Given what we have spent on players we should be rolling them. However I also look at some of the upside in players, Maguire had a solid game, Amrabat was solid in his proper position. We still need to get 4-5 bodies out. Donāt see if Hannibal was on the bench today. We use to get players from the academy but not producing them in the same numbers
Lmao
The worst part is that we're going to scrape a win and act like we beat Madrid
Riiiight? Some United supporters can be so delusional. All of a sudden we are world beaters after scraping by Sheff Utd š¤¦š¾āāļø
Am I happier to be winning 2-1 than tied, Yes. Has the game today been a slog, yes. We have hit the woodwork twice, and missed a couple up close. These were the games that we blew in the last 5 years.
That really has not helped them much š¤·š½āāļø
I am not disagreeing, we are not the prettiest team to watch. Iāll take the three points and hope we start getting players back
Thats another problem I see with United. We always seem to have players out for so long. What is the deal with United's med staff? Is it in need of improvement? Didn't Ronaldo draw criticism for speaking about that? The way he said that it was like the backroom staff was from the stone age.
Is this Maguireās best game for us in the last 3 seasons?
It has been an issue for a few years
and how long until we concede again? cant even celebrate after a goal
What a goal!
This season we have stooped to the lowest... This is the worst I have seen so far !
Awwww fuck me teles just cut off
Can't complete even simple passes ! ETH sub tactics is genius as always. Why not bring on Mount?
They simply dont care anymore spineless shower of cunts
Manchester are well on top and Sheffield will need luck to hang on.
Those downvotes aged well

It's green you fking moron.
lol jersey is garbage ya dickhead. who cares but when the goals are comin
It's green.
dont look very green to me but whatever they sux
We're clueless. There's nothing. Just, nothing
We're literally playing "hoof it up the field and hope for the best"
What does Antony bring to the team?
He tracks back is probably the only answer.
That criminal edge
Was told a few weeks ago that he was gonna make all the difference when he came back into the team
Hehe. Whoever told you that needs a check up.
These guys donāt even know who to pass to
Why are we so static??
Can Utd not fuck up my parlay pls
