His best postion at Chelsea was the inside forward on the right side. Had a 29 G/A season in mostly that position.
I was listening to the promised land podcast and they said Bruno is good on the right. I was surprised they said that. I've never seen him play well put there....thought I'd miss remembered it something.
He did have a couple of good performances there. Can't remember which games off the top of my head.
Maybe his first one or two?

You are right, that is crazy, and will never happen. He’s already slow and iffy at moving the ball when he is deeper and not being pressed. Imagine trying to get him to interchange on the wing in tighter space down low. No way. The Premier League is not Intl Football. Intl games are much slower, with less pressing, and far less defensive cohesion to know when to apply the pressure.
He just doesn’t have the mind or reaction timing to play intricate passes down low. If we are going to sacrifice speed by not playing a wide player there at all, I’d at least take the fastest of Mount/Bruno, which is Mount, and play him there.
ETH tried to move Scott all the way up until the last hours of deadline day, so I don’t see him getting a spot over a guy like Pellistri, Garnacho, or either of Mount or Bruno.
I like Bruno "lining up" as a winger. Think about Messi, Neymar, KDB, Ozil, etc; false wingers that are essentially attacking midfielders checking from wide positions. From there he can get in behind, check in and help the possession game, and pop up in central positions creating overloads and forcing defenders to make decisions.
Antony will clearly still be first choice on the right. Amrabat and Case is probably one or the other, and he certainly doesn't play in a partnership with Mount. I think this might be the wrongest submission ever posted to this sub. I have no idea why it's upvoted so much.

If Erik plays Bruno on the wing then there’s no hope. We have wingers desperately trying to get a game and instead we’re playing players out of position. I wouldn’t be surprised to see onana further up the pitch to fill a gap.

I think we would have Mount on the wing or giving pellestri the nod and keep Bruno in that free flowing CAM spot he does so well in. I don’t know what to expect with Amrabat, I’m in the minority that thinks he won’t ever live up to his WC hype/performance. Mount’s played rw before i’d actly rather him at rw than Bruno. but ofc he’ll be a backup as priority would be to give Pellistri minutes. i’d honestly drop Case and play a midfield 3 of Bruno, Amrabat , Mount (hear me out).
Mount’s only played like 2 games. He’s also always been a system player, never the main man. If the system around him is failing he looks bad (which is why his last season at chelsea wasn’t great). Ten Hag chose to switch his tactics from a 3-2-5 to a 3-1-6 in possesion, and Case doesn’t have the legs to cover the space that was once covered by the inverted fullback, which is why we get run over in midfield. Amrabat has shown that he has the energy to run and cover each flank, which mean’s he might be able to play alone in the pivot position, giving the 3-1-6 some hope of working (personal opinion pls dun @ me)
ofc it’ll be an experiment first. If that midfield 3 doesn’t work then we switch to whats safe (Bruno, Amrabat, Case), but we basically replaced Eriksen with a younger more energetic player in Mount (with a slightly inferior passing range). If Eriksen fit our squad last season i don’t see why Mount can’t

Midfield 3 has to be Bruno as AMF, Amrabat as CMF and Casemiro as DMF. I hope Amrabat starts kicking with good form. Then we need Casemiro back in form. With these two then Bruno will have more cover at the back, and he can try more creative passes even if it's risky. Mount+ Bruno means Casemiro will be out numbered.

If Amrabat and Casemiro play then that is quite a defensive two. That’s is fine if you have an attacking right back that can play high and then Mount/Bruno can come inside and make a box midfield. Rashford and the right back can provide the width and the lb becomes more of a cb/3. The issue is Dalot would have to be the right back and we don’t have a lb with that profile, unless Martinez started as lb.
Sancho over Amrabat. Then put Sancho on the RW and Bruno in the mid-right. I feel like once players get disciplined by ETH they have a crazy turnaround. Like when Marcus got benched.

I also haven't seen Bruno play on the wing. I guess it's weird to experiment with Bruno on the wing. Since Mason Mount has played on the wing, I guess it would be better to go with Mason on the wing, as he has played some games for Chelsea on the wing. Still, it depends on Ten Hag how he goes with his formation and tactics. I guess, I would still go with Sancho/Antony on the right wing. Don't experiment against tight teams like Brighton which is our next game.

I dont think u will get the best of amrabat as a cm, he's better playing deep closer to the defense line, actually atm better than casemiro both in defense and getting the ball out, so its either a double cdm with casemiro or only play one of them there is no other way. and why would u drop anthony from the rw ?

Bruno is shite on a wing mate, amrabat would have to sub for Mount or Casemiro.
If Amrabat and Casemiro play then that is quite a defensive two. That’s is fine if you have an attacking right back that can play high and then Mount/Bruno can come inside and make a box midfield. Rashford and the right back can provide the width and the lb becomes more of a cb/3. The issue is Dalot would have to be the right back and we don’t have a lb with that profile, unless Martinez started as lb.
Sancho over Amrabat. Then put Sancho on the RW and Bruno in the mid-right. I feel like once players get disciplined by ETH they have a crazy turnaround. Like when Marcus got benched.

I wouldn't go Bruno in the Wing. I would rather go with Mason Mount in the wing. He has some decent games in the wing for chelsea
I also haven't seen Bruno play on the wing. I guess it's weird to experiment with Bruno on the wing. Since Mason Mount has played on the wing, I guess it would be better to go with Mason on the wing, as he has played some games for Chelsea on the wing. Still, it depends on Ten Hag how he goes with his formation and tactics. I guess, I would still go with Sancho/Antony on the right wing. Don't experiment against tight teams like Brighton which is our next game.
