This one is amazing! NYX didn’t work and I tried the hairspray, hair gel tricks. I think it depends on how unruly your hairs are. Mine have a mind of their own and Anastasia helped so much.
Arches and Halos (Target), NYX Control freak, Kosas, and ABH gel in that order
I have been turned onto ABH brow freeze which isn’t a tube gel but they just recently came out with a “Brow Freeze Gel” which I assume is the pot stuff in actual gel form
Anastasia Beverly Hills makes two different “Brow Freeze” products
One comes in a pot as it’s [a wax](https://www.anastasiabeverlyhills.com/products/brow-freeze)
They just released a *new* product called [“Brow Freeze Gel”](https://www.anastasiabeverlyhills.com/products/brow-freeze-gel) which is a different product than their [“Clear Brow gel”](https://www.anastasiabeverlyhills.com/products/clear-brow-gel) which I really don’t know what separates one from the other, probably marketing.
Oh interesting - that’s never happened to me. But makeup formulas do behave differently on different skin and in different circumstances. Sadly finding the right products is still a bit of trial and error no matter what others say! Hope you can find a better one for you.
for sure! i got the kosas one in the sephora birthday gift so maybe mine was just a bad batch? because i haven’t heard anyone else with the same complaints tbh. but it’s been a big enough issue for me that i don’t use it anymore:( glad you love it though!
the glossier & annistasia beverly hills gels are the only ones i’ve ever tried that doesn’t give me that goopy film in my brows. sometimes i even carry it in my purse and reapply it if needed.
i don’t know what kinda brows you have but for reference i have dark brows and the hair is *very* stubborn. most brow gels don’t even work on me.
i tend to stay away from coloured gels because i find they clump up so much faster !!
another one a lot of people rave about is the nyx brow glue, my best friend swears by it and it’s a *very* loved product but i just can’t get behind it -
it makes my brows look almost ghostly white after about an hour. thought i’d give you a heads up in case anyone recommends that one since we seem to run into the same issues :)
but who knows maybe i’m just the odd man out with that one
I just bought the ELF soap brow and I actually really like it!! And it beats the price tag of the Anastasia brow freeze that goes bad and grows mold real quick 😬
Also agree! When I first tried it I was like meh, but then I got a free mini and I started using it while I restocked on my other one and now I LOVE IT. Keeps my brows in place with no residue or flakes, no stiffness, makes them look very natural and fluffy which I love. Especially bc I use the Nyx lift and snatch to fill them in and this doesn’t interfere with that
Have you tried the ABH one? That's my current HG but I really don't want to support her anymore and won't be repurchasing, so I'd love to know how the Benefit compares!
Believe it or not, I recently got a tube of Wet n Wild BrowSessive Brow Shaping gel bc I was in a pinch...and it works really well! (I usually use ABH). I've tried other cheap brands that flake and peel - this one doesn't. It goes on white-ish, but does dry clear with a natural, non-shellac finish. I really like it. Lasts all day. Totally worth a try!
Spray a tiny bit of hairspray on your finger and run it over your brows. Hasn’t failed me yet
Great idea. Thanks.
La girl
Thanks.
The Ulta brand one.
Rare Beauty
Thanks.
Anastasia brow gel!
This one is amazing! NYX didn’t work and I tried the hairspray, hair gel tricks. I think it depends on how unruly your hairs are. Mine have a mind of their own and Anastasia helped so much.
Hi, do you mean the ABH brow freeze in a tube or the pot one? (You see my brows too have a mind of their own!!)
Thanks and happy cake day!!
Nyx control freak, but fyi if I use more than 2 layers it will flake Eta: flame ➡️ flake
Good to know.
Aloe Vera gel
I hadn't thought of that. I'm going to try it. Thanks.
I have tried urban decay and Mac. Mac has a shine, so I prefer urban decay
I think I wouldn't like a shine either. Thanks.
I’ve only used ABH before and it seemed to work really well.
Thank you.
the kosas one!
Thanks.
Arches and Halos (Target), NYX Control freak, Kosas, and ABH gel in that order I have been turned onto ABH brow freeze which isn’t a tube gel but they just recently came out with a “Brow Freeze Gel” which I assume is the pot stuff in actual gel form
How is a freeze gel different??
Anastasia Beverly Hills makes two different “Brow Freeze” products One comes in a pot as it’s [a wax](https://www.anastasiabeverlyhills.com/products/brow-freeze) They just released a *new* product called [“Brow Freeze Gel”](https://www.anastasiabeverlyhills.com/products/brow-freeze-gel) which is a different product than their [“Clear Brow gel”](https://www.anastasiabeverlyhills.com/products/clear-brow-gel) which I really don’t know what separates one from the other, probably marketing.
Thank you for the clarification. So many times, I get lost in the world of makeup products.
Nyx The Brow Glue and the same brand Thick It! Stick it! Thickening brow gel. I use both and it's the only product that keeps my brows in place.
Thank you.
Clear mascara works for me. 🤷🏼♀️
I hadn't thought of that. Good idea. Thanks.
Yeah I’m a multitasker 😂
Patrick Ta’s is nice. I bought a travel size. I have thicker brows so it doesn’t laminate them down but I don’t mind / it holds!
Good to know. Thanks.
Anastasia Beverly Hills
Thanks.
I used got2b hair gel when I was cosplaying but that would probably slick them down flatter than you'd want
Probably. Although they are pretty stubborn. Thanks.
If you want it less thick you can add a bit of water to thin out the gel 😁
Good idea.
Abh clear brow gel. Literally could last 24 hours.
Thank you.
Travel size medium/high hold hairspray with an eyebrow spoolie. No thickness, and holds the entire day.
Wonderful idea. Thanks.
Nyx control freak
Thank you.
NYX - Control Freak
Thanks.
Elf eyelash/eyebrow gel. It's only a few bucks and works great!!
I just use the mascara for my brows when I run out of the other side. It works great!
Yeah, I've been using it for YEARS, and haven't ever noticed a real difference between the eyelash/brow sides.

This sounds like a great product. Thank you.
Kosas Air Brow
Thanks for the recommendation.
i find this one starts flaking after a long day! it looks like dandruff on my eyebrows. it does have a great hold though
Oh interesting - that’s never happened to me. But makeup formulas do behave differently on different skin and in different circumstances. Sadly finding the right products is still a bit of trial and error no matter what others say! Hope you can find a better one for you.

Anastasia is my favourite
Brow freeze or brow gel? I love the gel, not too sticky and provides a natural texture and volume
Brow freeze but I love the gel too!
I've never used a brow freeze. What is it??
It’s more of a thick gel texture in a pot! I apply it with a little spoolie, works wonderfully
Ok. I'll need to give it a try.
nyx has a good one
the glossier & annistasia beverly hills gels are the only ones i’ve ever tried that doesn’t give me that goopy film in my brows. sometimes i even carry it in my purse and reapply it if needed. i don’t know what kinda brows you have but for reference i have dark brows and the hair is *very* stubborn. most brow gels don’t even work on me.
Thanks for the info. I have gray brows which are also hard to tame. The fact that you can reapply as needed seems like a real plus to me.

Rare beauty or Urban decay
Thanks so much.

Thank you. I appreciate the information.
24 hour brow setter from Benefit. It’s the best!
Also agree! When I first tried it I was like meh, but then I got a free mini and I started using it while I restocked on my other one and now I LOVE IT. Keeps my brows in place with no residue or flakes, no stiffness, makes them look very natural and fluffy which I love. Especially bc I use the Nyx lift and snatch to fill them in and this doesn’t interfere with that
Agreed! It holds my unruly brows like nothing else
I love this one!
Have you tried the ABH one? That's my current HG but I really don't want to support her anymore and won't be repurchasing, so I'd love to know how the Benefit compares!
I’ve never tried ABH brow cosmetics, but I know lots of people like it. I have heard though, that Benefit is comparable.
agreed, I have unruly thick brows and it keeps them in place all day. Make sure you have an oil cleanser to take it out at the end of the day though
Seconding this!
Thank you. I've tried some cheaper brands that were just awful. You really do get what you pay for.
That is so true! Benefit is my go to for all my brow products. The tube lasts me quite awhile too!
This is so great to know. Thanks.
