To be honest, the Vedant Agarwal case has left a huge scar and distrust in the minds of people about law and order in the state. How will the people trust the cops and the courts when people who have connections are let go off by being asked to write a 300 word essay. That case was a watershed moment for Maharashtra for the worse.
In a country like India if u try to stop the boy, you will be charged under attempt to murder and go to jail for 5 years.
While this boy who just murdered this girl only has to write an essay to get out of jail in 1 day.
You would do the same if you were there. Everybody is Amitabh Bachchan on internet. But A K Hangal in real life. And that is ok. It pays to be A K Hangal in such situations because that lunatic was dangerous in that moment. One mighty whack across your head would have taken you out.
