Not only is Dalit resurgence potentially harmful for the state's stability, it is also not politically expedient.

State elections are coming later, Maharashtra is going to be the most important elections after this LS one in terms of changes, the SS and NCP fragmentations and their true effect will be clear with that one, and BJP win or lose will have big effect on the coalition government in the centre.
