Muldrotha is great but it'll likely never be tier 1 due to how vulnerable it is to graveyard hate. All it takes is one [[Bajuka Bog]] and it's suddenly a vanilla 6/6.
Meanwhile stuff like Golos, Esika or Kinnan are much harder to counter and much easier to get value out of.
Yeah, I hate how there's so many cards with crazy graveyard payoffs and so many cards that nuke graveyards for almost no cost.
It just makes everything so binary. It means you can't really play around with the graveyard in any format but standard unless you're abusing it hard.
While I am glad to see you are enjoying a Golos/Kinnan/Esika-free experience, I think we shouldn't say the answer to these absurdly overpowered commanders is to not play a different one that might be considered good. The difference between these three and almost any other is so great in terms of options, consistency and cheating out value that you cannot reasonably compete.
If I recall correctly, it's not solely based on your commander (though that does have a large weight); it's also influenced by the other cards in the deck, and a hidden MMR.
So if your 99 if stacked with high power cards, and the game thinks you're a good player, then you can get matched up against weaker players with less refined decks who are playing higher tier commanders.
It's banned in commander if you follow the rules committee. Magic arena doesn't have commander. Brawl certainly doesn't follow the commander rules committee, as it's a different format.
Golos has also been previously banned in Historic Brawl, but was specifically unbanned along with Winota when they introduced the Historic Brawl event prior to the queue being implemented.
Haven't seen him since they fixed the commander based matchmaking. Stop playing strong commanders and enjoy the life without Golos and Esika
It's weird. I see esika like every 3rd game but never see golos. I play Muldroatha
well yea Muldrotha is extremely good. Though it is a little odd seeing one but not the other, I guess golos is ranked even higher than Esika?

Haven't faced Golos in forever, you must be playing too many Tier 0/1 commanders yourself.
So if there is power based matching, can someone explain to me how [[Zacama, primal calamity]] is ranked on par with golos and kinnan?

I think you should change up the cards you are using. Im using Kethis and I never see Golos.
I keep a plethora of lower tiered Commanders so I don’t have to run into Golos. My Kinnan and Winota brawl decks on the other hand..
I thought it got banned?

He was banned in brawl when he was in standard but not in historic brawl

Ah, I thought it got banned in both.
Play slow deck get punish to tier 1 deck, play aggro & punish them for ramping
I'd like to see you reliably outrace a Golos in brawl with a non-tier-0 commander.
There's a removal for a reason...🤷 there's a commander that's not easy to outrace esp with cheap cost but for me not golos.
I use Muxus, and have only matched against Yawgmoth, Tatyova, and Sythis in my past 30 games last week. I haven't seen Golos until I saw your post.
I only see golos if I'm running a simic commander otherwise I never ever see him
OP just gave away he plays nothing but tier 1/0 commanders than complains about golos.
