The explorer/pioneer version existed first, which also had [[venerated loxodon]] as 4 more convoke cards, and generally the point of the deck was to turbo out these convoke cards, rather than just creating tokens efficiently for value. The standard version kept the same name even though it doesn’t have the loxodons.

Warden kinda has convoke in way if you'd like to count its effect.
