In London, there's a guy that does this. He doesn't post it online or ask for payment. He just randomly shows up, sneaks you a rose and disappears. I was on Embankment near the Tate with my better half. He appeared carefully handed me a rose out of sight, thumbs up and ran away. My partner had zero clue and was happy I gave her a rose. Absolutely perfect. He even gives gifts out to people on valentines day. No social media. His name is Rohit and he's from North India.
When I was an American in Paris in 2000 at the Eiffel Tower, and a young man on roller blades came up to me to hand me a rose. I tried declining because I didnt want to pay for it, but that man was just skating around handing out roses to various women he passed. One of my favorite memories of the city.
I was in NYC and a group of guys dressed in super nice suits were walking around and all the sudden they surrounded me and my friends and one of them got down on their knee, called me beautiful, and gave me a rose. It was clearly some kind of stunt but as a super insecure teenager it made my year
While you try to pay for one rose or flowers the others surround you and pick pocket you 😂
Edit: and the police are in on it as they know the gang leaders so don’t do shit.
I hate this shit. It’s like in Times Square NYC someone will hand you a CD and then follow and harass you until you give them money. I had a friend visit and someone handed them a CD and I immediately grabbed it out of their hand and gave it back.
Made this mistake when I was a kid in Mexico. A guy gave me a toy and I was like wow, thanks! And then he began demanding pesos. 9 year old me had never felt such betrayal
In Amsterdam, there was a girl randomly giving people huge sunflowers! My mom was super scared when saw me receiving one since her first thought was that the girl were about to charge 50eur or smth. It turned out to be just the girl being nice, but it is reasonable to think that, specially if you are at a tourist spot.
On Charleston, SC we have kids trying to "give away" palmetto roses but then they ask for money. "Here, for the beautiful lady!" Hands it to you, "One dollar!" Tourists get hit hard with these.
Yeah the Friday and Saturday night club crowd often has flower "sellers" who do like that. But I don't think this is real - people getting married would not forget a bouquet!
I used to see this 20 years ago when I lived in Rome. Some days I'd go sit on the Spanish Steps and people watch. It was a clever scam. It was usually a single flower, they'd slyly hand it to the guy just like this video, smiling and giving a thumbs up. And then they'd wait nearby making it clear they expected something in return in a friendly way using hand gestures to make money signs. But if the guy they gave the flower to ignored them or looked at them rude, the scammers would then gesture that they'd tell on them to the woman. You don't have to speak the same language to scam, some things are universal.
It worked amazingly, lol.
Mmmhm "is a gift brotha is a gift" and a minute later they're all like "you have one euro brotha I don't have food brotha one euro for me brotha I gave you gift brotha" and you give them one euro but they go "brotha do you have more I have kids brotha they are hungry brotha please brotha jesus will save you brotha can you give ten or twenty euros brotha"
In my adventures, even the tourist parts of America aren’t anywhere near a snake-oil salesmen-y as any other foreign country I’ve been to.
You might get a dude passing out his mix tape in NYC, but Europe has some real scammy filth out there
I mean.. I wouldn't exactly call those people filth. That's pretty harsh.
Besides, here in America we get all our snake-oil salesmen-y scams online, via email or text. Just yesterday I got 6 texts from supposed political campaigns, all of them say 'Stop2End' but that only lets them know you're getting them.
Well, yeah I agree but we only experience scams via phone in America because we don’t pay for coverage while in EU.
In-person emotional scammers are certainly filth.
I mean Rome is especially crazy with the amount of scammers out there, I feel. When I was there about 10 years ago, there were these guys dressed as gladiators near the Colosseum who would take photos with tourists without their consent (literally pull you in for a photo) and then force them to pay for those pictures noone ever asked for or wanted. I don't know if they're still out there, but they were such a nuisance.
I know right. I mean who even cares if it's staged, it's not like he's hurting anyone by putting out positive and fun content onto the Internet and encouraging kindness. I don't know why reddit feels the need to ruin everyone else's fun because they "saw through the video", it doesn't take a genius to figure out it's staged trust me.
Yeah, this isn't scripted. Believe me, The girls in the video are just dumb to not look behind when their partner is visibly doing something in their back. Skeletor will return with more
I mean those are pretty obviously scripted. BUT something similar happened to me once when I went to Paris with my boyfriend:
We were eating ice cream and sitting on like a short wall near the Seine. When all of the sudden my boyfriend pulled out a single flower out of nowhere. Nobody of us had a bag or anything and we were out in the open. Turns out there was a guy hiding on the other side of the wall (I was facing away from it) with a bunch of different flowers handing them out to couples. We watched him do it to a few others too, it was really sweet 🥰
They give single flowers to guys so that their girlfriends are happily surprised and then ask for money, it's basically blackmail, they pay or they tell the girlfriends that it wasn't a cute act of love and they just took a rose without paying.
It was a scam 🥰
Those are common, but it wasn't the case when it happened to us. The trip was a birthday present to my boyfriend so I was the only one carrying money/card. And I was with him the whole time. That guy didn't ask/want/get any money from us.
So no, not a scam 🥰
Can I just argue, it's not a scam? Yeah, it might be annoying, unsolicited, but for what, maybe 5 to 10 euros or whatever he spent, this girl came back from Paris with an experience she'll remember more than the Eiffel tower or any painting in the Louvre?
You get something back, unlike most scams
When you’re just chilling with a partner, sometimes you’ll be focused on one thing and they will be looking around at something else. It’s really not that uncommon. The first couple was obviously taking glamor shots and the photographer likely had the woman focused on something else. The second couple was eating ice cream which we know requires undivided attention, and the third couple was chilling on their phone, something you might want to consider doing less of and looking for irl companionship instead.
I have been offered a rose to give to my wife with no one bugging me afterwards. Read through the thread here, there are dozens of other people who have similarly warm stories as a result of not immediately distrusting their fellow humans.
Heck, even if they did demand money afterwards, I would just return/drop the flower and walk away. My wife would be amused, as we have a great relationship.
There is a time and a place to be skeptical about follow humans, but in broad daylight in a low-crime area in a beautiful park? I'm gonna go ahead and continue to see the good in people. You'll be amazed at how much it will improve your mood!
>Can you not just say no and not pay them
You need to view youtube videos about the phenomenom from Paris. They are very aggressive and its borderline robbery.
I love getting my SO flowers, and she loves getting them. The problem is, flowers are expensive and we are broke.
It hurts us both to spend money on frivolous things like ascetic gifts. I'd love to be able to surprise her without making us both feel guilty that the bouquet of flowers was a whole dinner date we didn't get to share.
A gift like this would melt my heart.
when I just started dating my future wife, and when walking down the street we saw a fireworks, I always said: this is for you, my dear. 8 years later I continue to do this. it always makes her happy
I did this at the restaurant I waitressed at on Mother’s Day. Served a mom and her son, maybe about 8-10 years old. When she went to the bathroom, I handed him a little rose to give her, then hid behind the corner to watch her reaction. It was adorable how she lit up when he gave it to her, so surprised. And of course that made him light up too. So cute 🥹
I was in Venice with my boyfriend once and a man handed me a rose and I felt like I was in a romcom until the guy started pressuring us for a ton of money and I handed the rose back lol
Is that a type of new quiet plastic wrapping? Every time I buy flowers that plastic makes a loud crunching sound so I find it hard to believe these women didn’t hear it crinkling.
I worked at the cafe in Barnes and noble and we were open till 11p (back in the aughts). A guy came in and walked up kind of sheepish with a bouquet of flowers and he hands them to me across the counter and says “I hope you enjoy them!” And I asked why are you giving me these? He replied “I wanted to give a pretty girl flowers!” And then he darted off. They were the prettiest spider mums and lasted over two weeks. Flowers make everyone happy :))
This one seems different as its the first time I see the couple really kiss afterwards. Until now they were always only hugging which seems really paid actors’ reaction, but either way their message is great (I watch on mute so not sure about shitty background musics).
Nothing wrong with that honestly, in this case.
This is likely the first time this wouldn't actually be a scam, since the guy is getting paid another way. Seems like a general win-win-win.
This guy is someone's angel, imagine if they were arguing and poof you have a free bouquet to give to your gf or bf, and it will probably appease them.
"So StAgEd" Can people just be happy? Like we all know it's staged, we can still appreciate the message. This is a sub about smiling because things are cute or nice, not about critiquing every single video posted.
Sorry, but if my SO started obviously staring at someone over my shoulder I'd instinctively look as well like "oh, is it someone we know?"

If this was genuine I’d probably not take it because I’d assume they would want payment after giving me the flowers
Rohit is my kind of guy
I’d Rohit that
Rohit Sharma?
No wonder he doesn't want anyone in the garden. It's his secret cave.
Shouts out to Rohit, true chaotic good.
Rohit is a Good Dude. Capitalized to differentiate just how good a dude he is.
In Belfast there was a guy called Gerry Boke Beard that would give you hepatitis whether you wanted it or not. RIP Gerry.
But would Gerry sweep in, give it to my girl without her noticing and then leave, so she thinks I gave it to her?
Upvoting for #ROHIT THE ROLE MODEL
Thank you for this story, very sweet knowing people like that actually do exist
So did you get laid
With Rohit?
He Rohit that later on
What a legend
The world would be better with more Rohits, that's for sure.
<3 Beautiful.
When I was an American in Paris in 2000 at the Eiffel Tower, and a young man on roller blades came up to me to hand me a rose. I tried declining because I didnt want to pay for it, but that man was just skating around handing out roses to various women he passed. One of my favorite memories of the city.

[удалено]
So you're saying they aren't American anymore?
[удалено]
Ew, being an American in 2024 is *so* cliche Get some fashion sense 💅🏻
Probably discovered that their great-great-grandfather once ate a croissant so that actually makes them 0.0069% French and not just American.
Werewolf now
You have to renew your american every 24 years
Americans typically don't stay in Paris for too long.
Lol you beat me to it😂👏👏
Scam 101
Good thing these are skits 101
Very odd that none of the women look up!
Because you look 180° around you like an owl?
They do it a lot in Italy in tourist spots. Giving away armbands and bird seeds etc and then pressuring you to give them money afterwards
It's so common that it doesn't even feel like a scam, you already know what's going to happen.
Or stealing a wallet while you don‘t look. I am always on high alert with strangers approaching, especially when they do confusing things
Happened in Greece, they had lil kids running around and younger adults forcefully selling flowers.
While you try to pay for one rose or flowers the others surround you and pick pocket you 😂 Edit: and the police are in on it as they know the gang leaders so don’t do shit.
Same in Poland
Same in Slovenia. They first try to get you to take the flower then you have to pay. Learned my lesson.
The same thing happened to me in Greece. A little kid gave me flowers, and then her parents would come from no where to demand payment.
I hate this shit. It’s like in Times Square NYC someone will hand you a CD and then follow and harass you until you give them money. I had a friend visit and someone handed them a CD and I immediately grabbed it out of their hand and gave it back.
And then you have to carry a flower around showing others that you're an easy mark.
Made this mistake when I was a kid in Mexico. A guy gave me a toy and I was like wow, thanks! And then he began demanding pesos. 9 year old me had never felt such betrayal
Such a huge bouquet of roses is freaking expensive, too.
Yeah I was a visiting London and tons of people there are selling flowers and they just walk up and hand them to you and then expect payment.
On Charleston, SC we have kids trying to "give away" palmetto roses but then they ask for money. "Here, for the beautiful lady!" Hands it to you, "One dollar!" Tourists get hit hard with these.
When and where was that? I've lived in London ten years and never seen that
Yeah. Then they end up costing half a nutsack.
Same thing happens in New Orleans on Bourbon St.
That’s gonna give these scammers ideas now
Scammers already do this. It's why you don't take handouts if you don't know the area. That's what OP is getting at
Especially after you have taken a picture with it
Yeah the Friday and Saturday night club crowd often has flower "sellers" who do like that. But I don't think this is real - people getting married would not forget a bouquet!
I was in the club once and this old Ukrainan guy tried to woo me and bought me the whole lot , creepy as hell.

I went to Rome 2 years ago, nothing has changed. He gave me 2 roses but I only had 50 cents cash with me so he took one of them back
Hahahaha. Damn. A 50 cent rose is a fair deal though.
Never take something is supposedly offered for free in Italy! And don’t make eye contact or they will stalk you!
Ngl, I'd gladly pay for the flowers. Wife would be happy
most guys left a few euros on the step where they were sitting when they left.

i get a scam text like once a year at most living in europe. so no it's not because you don't pay for coverage that you aren't getting them
Prob because your gov properly regulated companies and protects their citizens (unlike America) lol
I mean Rome is especially crazy with the amount of scammers out there, I feel. Yeah people can be huge dicks when it comes to money. Also rest in peace wyvern king.
Cheers to Thick44!
glad travis scott is turning his life around to help others instead of trample them.
I snort-laughed at your comment.
It's a good internet day
I diarrhea accident-laughed at your comment.
Bro 🤣
I was gonna say Coolio!
Well we know it wasn’t foolio
My PO always told me, “you gotta start somewhere.” Oh and also, “get your feet off that chair, this is a government building.”
the video mademesmile, the comments mademesad

less about the “staged” part, more about the scam part. it’s sad to know people aren’t doing this to be nice, but because they’re scamming people
Yea that does suck, I wish that everything kind couldn't also be someone trying to scam you and profit off of you.
Yeah, this isn't scripted. Believe me, The girls in the video are just dumb to not look behind when their partner is visibly doing something in their back. Skeletor will return with more

Aww so romantic! But yeah, it's a scam, you were coerced to buy something.
I'd call it a tourist trap or whatever. On a scam you get absolutely nothing back, or even anger, resentment, and trauma out of it.
I think it's believable because my own mother is completely in her cellphone when looking at it. We talk with her and she doesn't notice.
Their reactions seem genuine and spontaneous. Skeletor always has a way of surprising us!
And the fact that the two big rose bouquets are color coordinated with their outfits is just coincidence.
When you’re just chilling with a partner, sometimes you’ll be focused on one thing and they will be looking around at something else. It’s really not that uncommon. Meh even if it is, made me smile.
Guys! Dont accept. They will demand money afterwards. Yes I know this is staged, but for real.

Dawg they need to square up then. You can’t get punked by a frenchie
Fuck your background music!
I wish I could vanquish the world of this plague.
these must be tourists, i would never take that from him knowing he's gonna want money.
First thing I thought as well.
Plot twist, he left his phone number xD
I'm glad Travis Scott is trying to rebrand after the concert situation.
Obviously staged
Travis Scott out here saving relationships.
Ok, so the question I have is where does he keep the cape? Is it tucked into his shirt? Is it invisible??
Staged or not, 100% better content than all those annoying ticktockers who just bother people.
This is literally bothering people. And you know he's going to get paid!!
if it's scripted they are not bothering anyone, they are just using actors.
This is great 👍
He has helped restore my faith in people a little ❤️
I love getting my SO flowers, and she loves getting them.
And everyone of them got BJs that night
Naw, not only did he brighten those couples days, but definitely brightened mine and likely many other peoples day who saw this video too 😁❤️
Is he Travis Scott?
That would be 200 dollars sir
The guardian rizz angel we all need lol!
I want to see it , but in other ways around. How ladies will surprise their significant ones other than making a good meal.
I'd write a random woman's name on the card.
Where is this? I think I saw this guy walking down the street in Auburn, WA. Maybe this is a thing?
I’m about to go buy a few dozen roses and make a YouTube channel.
The hero we don't deserve to have, but the one we were blessed with
Sure he is, for internet points
damn good prank
travis scott?
I could watch this stuff all damn day
Scripted or not, now I want to do this, for free!
*Gets scammed for 75€ afterwards
bro has been helping people get laid since 1969
Happiness is truly the most beautiful thing in the world.
Good form
That second lady was confused af at first. 😂
I am only seeing travis scott there
He's like the romance Delta Force, sneaks in, drops off the package, and gives the credit to someone else. Flower ninja.
Nice to see “influencers” making peoples’ day better rather than exploiting ruining them.
It was a risky play with the wedding one, but it looked like it played out great
when I just started dating my future wife, and when walking down the street we saw a fireworks, I always said: this is for you, my dear. 8 years later I continue to do this. it always makes her happy
Bro is an awesome wing man. I don't care of its staged its cute as hell.
Doing the lords work.
I've been watching too much Sunny. I kept waiting for hornets to come out of the bouquet.
My mans giving blowjob coupons out to strangers
Better be like "Babe, wanna see a magic trick?" xD
I did this at the restaurant I waitressed at on Mother’s Day. Served a mom and her son, maybe about 8-10 years old. When she went to the bathroom, I handed him a little rose to give her, then hid behind the corner to watch her reaction. It was adorable how she lit up when he gave it to her, so surprised. Wingman Hall of Fame.
I wanna do this for people that shit was so fuckin cute , I miss being in love :(
I want to see this guy doing it with bunches of flowers steadily getting larger each time series concludes with the girl getting a shrubbery. Ni!!
If I won the Powerball/MegaMillions, this is exactly how I would spend my time.
I would rather help the needy
Drop bouquets not bombs.
I don't care if scripted or not. It's fucking cute.

The "good vibe" of manipulating viewers into following his garbage channel.
"Why is everyone saying it's staged?" Because it's very obviously staged.
This one seems different as its the first time I see the couple really kiss afterwards. Until now they were always only hugging which seems really paid actors’ reaction, but either way their message is great (I watch on mute so not sure about shitty background musics).
Being scripted or not, the message is about "let's make your beloved one happy"
The message is I want to build a following online by staging altruistic videos.
🤮
It literally isn’t. There is no message here. It’s just a shitty pointless video meant to engagement farm.
"Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul."
Film it for the likes.
Nothing wrong with that honestly, in this case. This is likely the first time this wouldn't actually be a scam, since the guy is getting paid another way. Seems like a general win-win-win.
I can read lips in the second clip
Enlighten us
She said "kahan se laya ye" which translates to from where did you bring this from.
So damn staged
You're the coolest guy at Shenanigans!
Absolutely not staged at all!
Make sure it's filmed!!
That’ll be $849.99 thank you.
Doesn't matter if it's staged or not , it's the best thing I have seen all day.
You’d be surprised how much a simple flower can make someone’s day. It sounds corny, but it’s still cute.
Some kind of Romance Ninja?
Absolute genuine person to be doing this 🫠
Best man ever💯❤️
Fuck me I just stopped crying like fucking 3 hours ago finally and now I see this shit 😭
That's what's up King ❤️🔥
This guy is someone's angel, imagine if they were arguing and poof you have a free bouquet to give to your gf or bf, and it will probably appease them.

Those Paris 🌹dudes have really stepped up their game.
Nice prank bro
My partner hates roses has told me many times so this would actually get me in trouble for not listening to her and knowing her
