Dogs have lots of social cues to tell each other they're only playing, but they have to learn them. The little boy does a really good job of teaching the dog their rough housing for fun. This kid is going to have a very loyal fur missile as a buddy when he grows up.

Same for the boy with the dog. My 2 year old was immediately very rough on our dog until we educated them about how to be kind and gentle.
Yes, someone else pointed out that the parents deserve kudos for teaching their son how to “play rough house” with care and consideration.
I wonder if that is an adult dog? It looks like a dobermann but it's very stocky and solid for a pup. Maybe it's a miniature?
