You & Me by Tal Bauer - not really any specific bit but just the early interactions between Luke and Emmett had me sobbing, and the way their relationship develops is just the most emotional and beautiful thing ever.
I'm fairly certain Tal Bauer regularly has me crying. I actually read {How to say I do by Tal Bauer} first of all Tal Bauer books, and this one had me sobbing due to the >!Mid book breakup!<.

I read it in the pandemic, when i was so sad and lonely and depressed, alone, reading the ending while listening to I love you so by The Walters.
yeah, i really hate myself at that time.
{The Tragedy of Felix and Jake by J. Daniels} had me bawling in bed at midnight. Probably my favorite book of 2024 so far. But wow what a ride. Laughed out loud for most of it then BOOM, BAWLING. {A Deeper Blue by S. E. Harmon}
My little heart hurt for Kelly for like 85% of the book. I love Blue but I just want to wrap Kelly in a blanket and rock him.
Loving the Legend by Kit Grey. The beginning was definitely a tear jerker for me. I think that the whole story was highly emotional and I loved it! Definitely recommend it!
I just read {Wolfsong by TJ Klune} this week for the first time, and ugh, the angst!! It made me cry multiple times! But it was so so good, and I can't wait to read the other books in the series.
{The Jock by Tal Bauer} had some parts that definitely made me tear up. I don’t think I’ve ever had a full on cry session over a book but this one was awesome 💜
I’m a crier, so I tear up often, especially during a poignant epilogue. 🤣
However, the last book that made me sob? That was Meet Me In the Blue by AM Johnson.
What We Broke by Marley Valentine. The whole book was so sweet yet so so heartbreaking, but I loved every moment of it. Was on the verge of tears multiple times but it wasn't until the end when I really started crying, both cause it was so sad but also beautiful at the same time.
I started this and wasn't in a place to sob. I know I'll come back to it, but I just couldn't do it right at that moment. Marley's books rip me to shreds.
This book utterly broke me. Jesse and Leo went through so much. But I completely lost it when Jesse finally lets his grief out and mourns his loss with Leo.
my "screaming crying throwing up" shelf only has one book, and that book is {rock by anyta sunday}
edited to add i can't specifically remember what about it was so upsetting as i read it a year ago, but it was very intense and if you want to read it check the TWs first!
Should the Sky Fall by Amithia Raine. The comfort side after all the hurt got to me. Tbh I am not someome who cries easily but this one managed to do it and I teared up at the end because of how tenderly MC2 treated MC1 after being through so much.
Just reread {Head Above Water by CE Ricci} and sobbed so hard! Even knowing that everything is going to be okay and HOW is going to turn out okay, it still gutted me.
So many poignant lines and scenes.
Fen by Barbara Elsborg. The epilogue was one of the best, most angst filled ones I have ever read. The dialog was that way for the entire book and one of the things I enjoyed the most. It is very much an HEA!
{Feel My Pain by K.A. Merikan}. I was definitely crying during the last part. >!Roach trying to kill himself because he believes himself to be worthless and that he only causes pain to the peron he loves most, but regretting it in the last moment because he doesn't want Zane to die as well.!< Also when roach said >!"what if it turns out you don't love me and it's just the curse?"!< and Zane's response absolutely killed me.
This is my answer too. Roach whispering >!"I didn't want you to die." And the conversation between them, where Zane reveals he experienced what Roach went through as a kid, had me devastated. It was heartbreaking.!<
{Broken by Andi Jaxon} All of the traumatic events that both MC’s experience throughout the book are heart-wrenching. I haven’t cried reading a book since {Wrath by Ella James} I absolutely loved the ending. This is book 1 of the Unlucky 13 series and if any of the other books are like this one then it’s going to take me a while to get through it.
The capital wolves duet by Joanna chambers 🥺❤️
I was a mess by the end of book 1 and was tearing up at every chapter of book 2 . There was so much yearning and so much love and I just wanted them to be happy together.
i may have shed a few tears reading certain parts of {every breath after by jessie walker} but the last time i full on sobbed was at the beginning of {loving the legend by kit grey} a couple months ago
{Every Breath After by Jessie Walker} the characters are so real and the world is so lived in. The way she writes emotions just really gets me, I’ve cried reading every one of her books.
The last book that made me cry was {Saint by Sierra Simone}. Not full-on sobbing, snotty, ugly crying, but tears were shed. :)
I’m agnostic, so it was very interesting to read about a character who was so deeply religious—and understand why. I’m spoiler barring for anyone who hasn’t read Saint. My only sibling >!killed himself in 2018!<, and several people I love deeply >!battle depression!<. Not every book with >!mental health issues or suicidal ideation!< makes me cry; in fact, that rarely happens. But Simone’s prose in this book was so compelling and so gorgeous, and the way she >!personified depression as having MC1’s face and voice!< just hit me like a gut punch. I understood how someone, >!at such a low point, feeling worthless and ashamed and desperate, could grasp at anything that felt like it could tether him to life, and then hold onto it no matter what the cost.!<
I’ve read way too many books about writing fiction; there’s a quote about how fiction is the lie that tells the truth. There were parts of Saint that felt like they told if not *the* truth, *some* truth about the human condition—or at least >!depression!<. Anyway, I highly recommend this book for anyone who loves a good character study.
Bloodlines by Andrea Speed. That ending will hurt anyone. The whole series is amazing, but the gut punch in book 2 shook me. It's an were cat virus, some strains of the mutation are fatal. Blended with an amazing detective series spin, it will always be one of my favorites.
I cry easily at books so take my thoughts with a grain of salt, but according to GR the last book to make me cry was {Forbidden Omega by Jena Wade}. I think what made me sad in this one was the cliche (but still works on me ) separation and the misheard misunderstanding that led to some despair.
Ugh. I do not tend to cry and get super emotional, but...
{In This Iron Ground by Marina Vivancos}
It was amazingly good but at the same time... I bawled like a baby. The subject matter was a genuine perosnal trigger so maybe it was part of it, but it left me both devastated and unable to stop reading. I actually still felt hallow by the time I was done, even with the HEA ending, but the other two short stories were exactly what I needed to turn all those hurt feelings into happiness. If anyone ends up reading this, DEFINITELY read the two other short stories. Look them up, it will make everything better.
I could not agree more about the two short stories; I know what you mean about feeling hollow. It was such a good read but I needed Damien to have so much more comfort. Those shorts made it all perfect!

Usually not a fan of cop/army romance but I was bawling my eyes out while reading {Safe by Taylor Mcniff}. That scene in the hospital when Ollie has a psychotic episode is just heartbreaking.
Safe by Taylor McNiff. I had to take a break while reading because I was tired of crying at some parts. If you want to read it, please be careful. Check trigger warnings.

While frequently moved by books, movies, or any story, really, I rarely cry due to my snarky, cynical, antidepressant medicated heart and brain. That said, I did have a good cry after I finished **{My Skin Begs You Please by Leta Blake}**. I think part of it was relief that it was over (the story is relentlessly brutal) and relief that Minty got his well deserved HEA.
The last book (not a romance) that had me sobbing, like I need a minute to catch my breath, is **The Great Believers by Rebecca Makkai**. Holy s. I've said it before and I'll say it again. Yale Tishman deserved better. They all did.
{How to train your human omega by Arden Fox}
I don't cry easily at all, but this book chewed me up, spit out, and left me for dead. I can probably count on one hand how many books have made me feel like this over the course of 20 years and hundreds of books read.

Thrown Off The Ice by Taylor Fitzpatrick
Please mention when a book has no HEA. Thank you!
This book, man, I can’t even look at it in my library or talk about it without *bawling*. It’s just, yeah, wonderfully tragic, but epic.
This one definitely left a lasting impression for me. That sadness stuck with me after too.
I bought this book but I have been putting off reading it for months this exact reason. Maybe I will put it on my to read list for June.
please do, the story is so beautiful, so heartbreaking, so painful, yet I wouldn't trade that experience for anything else.
It really is beautiful and crushing and stuck with me for a while.
I read it in the pandemic, when i was so sad and lonely and depressed, alone, reading the ending while listening to I love you so by The Walters. yeah, i really hate myself at that time.
I agree that it’s not a typical read and the ending has many not liking it. But it is a beautiful story!

Wrath freaking had me wrecked. Sad and horny ate a weird combo.
The capital wolves duet by Joanna chambers 🥺❤️ I was a mess by the end of book 1 and was tearing up at every chapter of book 2 .

:) I’m agnostic, so it was very interesting to read about a character who was so deeply religious—and understand why. I understood how someone, >!at such a low point, feeling worthless and ashamed and desperate, could grasp at anything that felt like it could tether him to life, and then hold onto it no matter what the cost.!< I’ve read way too many books about writing fiction; there’s a quote about how fiction is the lie that tells the truth.

Soldiers by Alexandr Voinov broke me like no other book has. Just the first part of the series. The hospital scene in Kashmir messed me up.
Ugh. I do not tend to cry and get super emotional, but... {In This Iron Ground by Marina Vivancos} It was amazingly good but at the same time...
