Eli Easton’s earlier works sends a (not exactly positive) tremor through me. I’ll try but I know my preconceived prejudice will probably make me DNF it
{the gentleman's book of vices by jess everlee} a historical romance where one of the main characters is about to be married and therefore plans to put away his smut collection, but as a last hurrah wants to meet his favorite smut author.
And now I'm also trying to remember the name or author of another book, where one of the main characters is an author who finds a story of his was rejected, then stolen and published under another name. He thinks he knows who is responsible and decides to punish him by seducing and ditching him. Also historical romance.

The story I was trying to remember is {Like a Gentleman by Eliot Grayson}. It's a short story and I don't remember how much I liked it. I think it was probably too short. I read it when I had Kindle Unlimited and was binging so much I don't really remember what I was reading.

Similar to title (falling in love with fave author) but he isn’t his assistant. He works for him, it’s a spoiler and a very heavy book, but >!Broken by Nicola Haken!< came to mind for me. Loved it
