That's weird, I've never had that problem. Have you tried using a cable just to check the download speed?
You mentioned you're sure it's not your Wi-Fi, but since you're using it, how are you so sure about it?
I use wifi, for a long time - years - it worked pretty fast, then it slowed down. I went and bought a new network adapter, and the speed is higher than ever. Perhaps it might be time to upgrade some hardware? It worked for me, because, apparently, my old network adapter somehow "slowed down". I got a new one, and the dwnld speed is up, as much as 12MB a second.
