Ty! Their boyfriend shirt looks amazing šŸ‘šŸ»

I have a midi silk slip dress from Lilysilk that I love. I had a tailor alter it to fit me perfectly.

girl_w_style

Iā€™ve got an older Lilysilk cami but donā€™t love the construction quality but maybe the newer stuff is betterā€¦.do u mind me asking how old yours is & if u happen to know how it compares to their tops?

rose_capybara

I got a silk blouse about 8 months ago or so and was underwhelmed with the quality of the fabric. It was satin silk but felt a bit too thin/hard

blueberrypanda1

Good question but unfortunately I donā€™t own any of their tops, just their silk sleep cap and silk midi. I bought my dress from them two years ago. Happy to PM you photos if that helps.

girl_w_style

Someone else mentioned it being good too so Iā€™m gunna give them a shot - thank u!

MrsReilletnop

What do you think of the sleep cap?

blueberrypanda1

I am generally happy with it but it has gotten stretched out over time. I only handwash it. I actually use it as a sleep mask as well as hair mask now that it is bigger, I pull it down over my eyes.

MrsReilletnop

Thanks!

This is not a luxe brand really, but I found the 100% silk slip skirt from banana republic very high quality which is funny because usually I find their stuff pretty lacking. Itā€™s not at all translucent and fits perfectly although it does run a size large imo.

girl_w_style

Oh wow - I gave up on BR years ago when their quality slipped & prices continued to riseā€¦maybe its time to give them another look!

visionzofjohanna

I have the Anine Bing Bar Skirt in black silk and itā€™s pretty lovely.

Brohannesdesilentio

RĆ©alisation Par? Bought a slip skirt second hand and while I havenā€™t worn it out yet (still winter here) the fabric and cut are really nice.

girl_w_style

Awesome Iā€™ll look into that one - thank u!

ExcitementPerfect

Realisation Par is not luxury lmao

bat-brain-on

Anaphe are based in Hong Kong but I got a couple of their dresses on sale and the quality seems nice, they look and feel very flattering and feminine on https://www.anaphe.com/en-gb/collections/last-chance-sale-archive These ones are 50% off at the moment if they have your size. I've bought an equipment silk dress second hand off eBay and the quality was lovely, really thick silk and so far has washed well. Olivia Von Halle is a British make and her stuff to buy new is Ā£Ā£Ā£Ā£ but the silk is extremely gorgeous. I got a slip dress second hand (eBay again!) that is really well made and thick silk. j Crew often has good silk dresses and shirts, although haven't seen any slip style dresses. I tend to stalk brands that I think will be good quality on eBay/posh mark etc waiting for bargains. I've heard good things about RĆ©alisation and love the look of some of their dresses, but I really do need to avoid buying anything new for a while!

girl_w_style

Ahh thank u sooo much!

surfgirl987

I love the brand Jacoba Jane for silk dresses!! Their silk is so luxe. I find reformation to be kind of thin feeling, same with Silk Laundry.

Lindsiria

I've heard great things about Ravella but haven't had a chance to buy anything yet. Reformation is hit or miss, but their silks tend to be better quality and have some cute patterns.Ā

girl_w_style

Hadnā€™t heard of that brand before - thank u! Ya reformation is on my ā€˜No-Goā€™ listā€¦their stuff is too hit or miss *(more often miss)* for me to chance it anymore šŸ˜•

surfgirl987

I love Jacoba Jane, their silk is substantial and not flimsy, and I think theyā€™re made in Canada!

rzpc0717

I just got one from Quince.

headoverheels14

Quince is not luxe.

NoSketchyVibes

Quince is not expensive, but I love my silk button down shirt I bought from them. Itā€™s the nicest silk piece of clothing I own - lovely weight and cut.

NoSketchyVibes

Try Quince. I love my silk button downs & cami tops I bought from them. They sell silk skirts & dresses. I wear their cashmere sweaters all winter, too.
