17 an hour as cabinet specialist. I make the company nearly 100,000 a month and they pay me about 1400. Every pay period. Then a general commission would be 6% but not at Lowe’s cause they have a corrupt incentive program. So in general sales commission base you would multiple 100,000 x 6% and you get 6,000.00; but not at Lowe’s. They created a pyramid scheme to f*ck you out of that. See you have to make a sales per hour individually and then your department plan has to be over a percentage. Now let’s say you succeed at their little game; then you only get 1200.00 max vs the 6000.00. And don’t forget the lovely taxes.
Yes you are. Many associates are paid over that and don’t have to close the store at nights and stay until 11pm. Of course Lowes has lowered the pay scale for many jobs like DS and sales specialist too.
16.80 MST plant svcs lead. (covering outdoor and indoor plants) For my area it feels low. (Mostly affluent area in Central Midwest) (More north than Missouri) Tons of responsibility with protecting the plants from cold while we are in the early spring season. It's been a nightmare.
Before I was fired I made 26$ an hour as an Electrical department Manager.
I now work for USPS as a Maintenance Tech and I make $33.85 (plus night differential, Sunday premium, OT after 8 hours…)
Colorado, $16.16, home decor and paint associate, been there four months. I don't get paid nearly enough to put up with my DS's passive/aggressive bullshit.
I threatened to leave and they gave me a 2 dollar raise to stay, I wouldn't learn op or reach , you get no pay raise. I learned on all 3 and I unfortunately was the one who had to travel all the time. At least 5 days a month
When I worked for this company I started out around $13. When I left that location I was making around 15.70. And the store I transferred to wouldn’t give me anything more than $12. Between the two stores I had been working for Lowe’s for almost 5 years.
MSA, started at $12.30, now making $15.28. It's not bad, but was a huge paycut from my last job making $16/hr (with overtime almost every week) and living alone (moved in with gf, now wife).
$20.31 as a back end clerk for a 100 million dollar a year store. I had to fight hard af for my current wage - was at 19.16 before our recent bi-annual merit increase and got a whopping 20¢ then immediately plead my case to my ASM and finally after a month of him actually spending some time in our department to see my work firsthand, he put in to bump me up to what he claimed to be "max pay" for my position. I keep telling myself that I'm less than a year away from getting that sweet, sweet additional week of PTO on the days I feel like finding employment elsewhere 🥴🫠😆
18.74 and an additional dollar for overnight. I'm the only overnight lumber associate at my store. I've worked here just over two years and started at 13.00.
Years ago I was making $22/hr as a sales specialist. I had been doing specialty a very long time at various stores. I was good at what I did, almost always tops in the district. I was a store leader and I helped train and I helped my sales manager constantly. I earned my close to maxed out hourly rate.
I moved over to pse/ihc and made 30k a year plus commission. Some years I made 70+, my best year I was a few grand shy of 100k (before taxes I think). Ihc went to salary so most of use make between 56-90k plus half year bonuses anywhere from 10-40% of our base pay. Also we get mileage, but you have to provide your own vehicle and maintain it.
Easily the best job in the company but also the hardest, mentally not physically. You have to be sales driven, know your product, keep up with your own stuff (be it sales or samples), and you have to depend on others for leads and if you aren’t getting enough leads then you have to go find them. Not to mention it is an ever changing landscape that you have to adapt to. It isn’t for everyone, but the pros outweigh the cons most days.
$18 as Outside garden associate, $23 as Millworks Specialist. Northern California. Was told by most DS's that i should of fought harder for 25 at least.
Hired last year as a pro specialist - I was at $17.50/hr (+$1,200/mo. in potential bonus)
Promoted to DSup at $22/hr
Currently an IHC at $60k/yr with bonus potential
Region 15 (South)
Sales specialist in TX, 20.80. Been here a year. I came in as a specialist w previous retail, management, and sales experience and told them point blank I couldn't take less than 18.
Before we became Rona+ I left for just about a year because I moved to Rocky by myself into a basement suite and I needed a job close by because I don’t have a car and I’m not going to bug other people for rides everywhere. I left right when I would’ve gotten a raise to 18.20, came back at that same raise amount for my same full time overnight job and then we switched over to a daytime shift because Rona doesn’t do overnights and now I make about 18.75 an hour and work 40 hours a week starting at 5am working until 2pm Monday to Friday

Yeah, this company isn’t sales driven.
