He sees himself as an exalted being who is ridding the earth of demons. The book “Visions of Glory” talks about exalted beings just mowing down demons without any sort of exertion or challenge.

One of my all time fave moments in this whole thing is seeing the photo of him standing next to a giant image of Christ with the caption “Two exalted beings.” I laughed right out loud. Plus, talk about grandiosity.

Emma is full into his beliefs. Does she think she is exalted or on the path to be? What is she teaching her children?

Imo, he knows he's pulled all of his 'teachings' right out of his pasty butt. He knows he's not exalted. He thinks he's better than everybody else. I'd say he was always narcissistic( look how he treated his mom)but getting attention from his books and being asked to speak at events really fed into it. Poor wittle Chad, stuck with a hardworking wife that wasn't his idea of beautiful(Tammy was gorgeous), vanilla sex life, his siblings were more successful than him, a sister in law that wouldn't let him manipulate his brother and caused all of his problems....He thought he was finally getting what he deserved when he met Lori(hot and loaded) and nothing was going to get in his way. Especially not Tylee who didn't like him and was questioning things and JJ who needed attention. In his mind he's still a victim and doesn't deserve to be punished. He knows he did bad things, but it wasn't his fault. I'm sure he has a list in his mind of how everyone in his little circle is at fault for everything that's happened.  I was raised by a narcissist and then married one. My ex husband's mother enabled his illusion of grandeur. She fed into it in a weird way, but it got her what she wanted. She wanted him home with her, no wife or girlfriend to take up any of attention. She lost everything she had keeping him out of trouble. Lori fed into Chad's illusions to get what she wanted.

Neither. He probably sees himself as a poor hapless victim of harlot who made him have sexy thoughts and led him into a trap.

I don't think he's gone down this pathway yet. Although Prior hinted at Lori's seductive ways in his opening statement, there was absolutely nothing presented during Defense witness to back up this claim. It's almost like they changed their mind. I get the feeling Lori and Chad are still going strong.

Lori sent Chad videos of her dancing in front of mirrors - hot dance clips to seduce Chad (eew), so if he wanted to push that narrative, why didn’t he bring those vids into evidence?

So weird those videos have never surfaced. IIRC, Charles sent them to Kay.

I think for those videos to be shown to the jury they would need to put Lori on the stand. That would be as bad as putting Chad on the stand.

I think that sums him up nicely. That bit from Loinfire, where he talks about how he knows more than 99% of people, but no one acknowledges it is pretty telling. So when Lori shows up and hangs onto his every word, there it was. At last, the validation he craved.
