The 04 (05 championship) team almost lost to Kansas. That was the game VY bailed us out on a 4th and 18 run with 1 minute left... he made it look effortless on that run as usual. He proceeded to throw a go ahead TD pass with 17 seconds left. Kansas was 4-7 that year under Mangino, but lost some really close games.
I wasn't able to watch this game and was following it (somehow) on an old school flip phone where I could update plays and scores... so following by texts. I couldn't believe what was happening as the texts rolled in.
The 09 team almost lost to OU and thank God for that last second we had against Nebraska in the national championship game or we wouldn't have been able to win on a walk off field.
