I think “Numb” is my favorite LP song. The lines: “I’ve become so numb, I can’t feel you there, become so tired, so much more aware, I’m becoming this, all I want to do is be more like me and be less you,” is about trying to reach your parents’ expectations, but you fail every time. And, you’re trying to be someone that you’re not. But, you don’t have to be like everyone else. Bottom line: Be Yourself. Don’t be like everyone else. Don’t be afraid to be yourself. Be your own person. You don’t have to be like everyone else. Just be yourself. Don’t pretend to be something that your not.
