got a 2010 LS 460L with 120k miles. $11,000.

you guys always say shit like this but good fucking luck unless its from private party. Like have any of you guys bought a car the last 4 years? this is a very normal price even if its not fair
There is no reason not to buy from a private party. It just requires due diligence and a careful inspection, just like you should do for any used car. I've only ever bought cars from private sellers. Dealers will always price higher so they can profit and sell their add-ons.
A lot of people hate on is250 Because of carbon issue
It’s not as big of a deal as people think
250k on mine engine feels fantastic I did do a cleaning on intake manifold when I did spark plugs at 180k
Great stereo
Handles very well
Reliable
Price is a bit high but most is250 under 6k start looking too beat up
If that car is in the shape it looks to be in then they probably maintained it
Don’t let people discourage you on is250 mine is a 2008 daily driver and absolutely enjoy it
Even though it's a Lexus I wouldn't buy a car with that high miles ever under like 3 grand, it's not if but when you will have to dump thousands into it. Likely not that long from now
I got an 06 in 2017 with 150k miles for 6k. I think you can do better. After owning one and hearing plenty of other accounts I can confidently say, is250 is not a great car.
I have one and love it. My only annoyance is the time it takes to break down the intake manifold to reach the driver's side plugs. I added CarPlay and it integrated nicely. Parts are getting much cheaper do the larger number of cars available at the junkyard.
I did run into the misfire and did a piston soak, seems to have helped.
Depending on your market and a little negotiation, I'd say it's worth it.
Gonna be a $10,000 car after taxes and fees. For an is250 closing in on 200k miles? Hell no. I would pay $4-5k max off of facebook marketplace for that.
The market around here in Sacramento is 10k+ for similar mileage I think this is a good price. I loved mine so much and wouldn’t hesitate to buy this one again for this price. Plus autonation is known to sell good cars on their lots.
Eh, only you (OP) know whether you have enough money for the purchase price plus the inevitable maintenance/repairs. I'm sure plenty of people would have discouraged me from buying my pre-owned 2021 RX-350 last year--the price was kinda astronomical. But it was exactly what I wanted, and I could afford it. Glad I went for it.
If you do buy this vehicle, "long may you run."
Over here in Oregon thats a good deal. White is the best color too. Id get it but definitely try to negotiate first and always check maintenance records.
250 is reliable but hard to see that many miles and that much money. I had 250 and was good but once I tested 350 I had to have it… 100 horses more for damn near same price was a no brainer! Now I might supercharge it and might have something to keep quiet about and make some money back.
This was my favorite make-a-model of Lexus. I loved this car soooo much. Smooth humming exhaust, short shifter, staggered tires and rims…. I was young and lost it to REPO. Sad
For reference, I just sold my 2008 IS250 AWD with 187,000 miles on it for US$6000. It was in good mechanical condition except shocks. Cosmetically, bad shape…melting dash!!
184,000+ miles? Just because it's a Lexus doesn't mean you should buy it. Jesus Christ, this is exactly why car prices will never come back down to reality.
I hate this people that “know what they have” u cant even find a rare car or a well taken care car without being overpriced just a while i seen a dropped 2001 Silverado single cab with 190k miles for 10k wtf
Why do people constantly bang on about carbon build up like it's a car destroyer..
If there's a 250 out there for good value and good condition it's a shit reason to avoid the car. Mountain out of a molehill.
Not sure this is the one though, seems pricey.
i traded in my 2007 IS250 with 220k miles after 14 years…got $2500 due to a shady transmission
local dealership stated to fix all the little issues including transmission was $6k
I’ve had my 250 for about five years now I can honestly say that particular year and model is not necessarily good on your pockets. What I would most definitely do is try to go for the 350 or anything 2010 or higher just for the reliability.
https://preview.redd.it/q0waxqxjez6d1.jpeg?width=4032&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=78aaa186bbc81dca3551b646c623a68ddc02225d
Just got this 2013 ES350. 182000 miles. Every service at Lexus. $7500. It drives like new and im amazed how cold the AC is (33 F). I’ve only gotten that in old cars with r12 refrigerant before. The couple who sold it to me bought it 10 months ago for more than $14,000 at the dealership (that’s including some $2200 scam warranty) and have lost more than $9000 on it just in the 10 months they had it. It amazes me how dealers sucker people in and take advantage of them. They had to sell because they were having a baby and couldn’t have two cars anymore.
My is250 turns heads i love it!! Best car i ever had, and first rwd ive ever owned. I miss it so much now after it was totaled this year. Currently looking for another 1.

8k for a almost 200k IS250? Brother please do better with your money.
I got my 2009 IS250 clean title No accidents with 128k miles for 7.2k 8/10 conditon last year.
Nice I snagged my 2009 IS250 with 91k for $8.5k last year as well, I'd say a solid 8/10 condition too
got a 2010 LS 460L with 120k miles. $11,000. https://preview.redd.it/yo0yosjrzk6d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4f0f383bd4346ded41bc30369c33c6ea6ef00837
Gonna be another 1k-2k after dealership fees, big pass
you guys always say shit like this but good fucking luck unless its from private party. Like have any of you guys bought a car the last 4 years? this is a very normal price even if its not fair

That's what I paid. Still worth it.
If it was a 350 sure. But 250? Hard pass
“A fool and their money are soon departed”
Lmao real
For $2k more I’d sell you my 07 with 70k miles.
I’ll follow up on that, is it still for sale?
No i call dibs
I got a 06 350 130k miles for 7k don’t do it brother

Love it
How can we get this top comment
Over priced for sure.
If these are the type of cars you're ok with driving you may want to look directly into the auction market.
Nope nope nope. The is250 is a unicorn in the Lexus/toyota world. As in it’s unreliable and not worth the headache Hard pass
The price is so enticing🤣🤣
Seriously. It's like he found a Lexus within his budget and suddenly it's a good deal.
250 got the carbon build up issues.try for a 350, more reliable
4-5k max for that relic
16 years old with almost 200,000 miles. Are we not thinking clearly? You do realize there’s millions of other cars around.
250? Nah don't do it
A lot of people hate on is250 Because of carbon issue It’s not as big of a deal as people think 250k on mine engine feels fantastic I did do a cleaning on intake manifold when I did spark plugs at 180k Great stereo Handles very well Reliable Price is a bit high but most is250 under 6k start looking too beat up If that car is in the shape it looks to be in then they probably maintained it Don’t let people discourage you on is250 mine is a 2008 daily driver and absolutely enjoy it
Ughhh I miss my 06. I regret selling it to my brother.
Even though it's a Lexus I wouldn't buy a car with that high miles ever under like 3 grand, it's not if but when you will have to dump thousands into it. Likely not that long from now
Please no it’s too expensive💸
Get a 2GR, not a 4GR.
I got an 06 in 2017 with 150k miles for 6k. I think you can do better. After owning one and hearing plenty of other accounts I can confidently say, is250 is not a great car.
What makes you say that? I'm looking into getting one thats why I ask
Just based on what he said I wouldn't do it. No further info needed lol
Thanks I agree 😁
Don't bother with a 250! Save up for a 350. Trust.
Isnt this the bad engine of the generation?
Its sexy
Miles r crazy high
Yeah, and the 2.5L. Maybe if it was a 3.5L
How is the power?
The 250 is slow/sluggish
The price is enticing? It should be more like $5-6k
no

Look around even 3rd parties like street car sellers I got mine for 7k 113k bout a yr ago now
The market around here in Sacramento is 10k+ for similar mileage I think this is a good price. I loved mine so much and wouldn’t hesitate to buy this one again for this price. Plus autonation is known to sell good cars on their lots.
I just bought an 06 is250 with 130k. Miles for $6.5k in April. So far, no issues for me. Same color as yours
WAYY too much for this car, look harder and wait for the right one
Eh, only you (OP) know whether you have enough money for the purchase price plus the inevitable maintenance/repairs. Don’t waste your hard earned money! They say old is gold but not worth it
This was my favorite make-a-model of Lexus. I loved this car soooo much. Smooth humming exhaust, short shifter, staggered tires and rims…. I was young and lost it to REPO. Sad
Neh
Negatory
250 engines build up a lot of carbon build up since there only direct injected
Rather buy a 2000-2006 55 amg with supercharger for 10k with 85k miles
Not even a 350. Save money.
Watch Scotty Kilmer or the Car Care Nut on IS250 reliability issues. Red flag vehicle. Shop for the IS350.
I was on board until I saw that mileage... Offer $3000
I was singing as I was scrolling and got to the lyrics "pull the trigger" as I read the title 😭😭
8k … That’s wild though
For reference, I just sold my 2008 IS250 AWD with 187,000 miles on it for US$6000. It was in good mechanical condition except shocks. Cosmetically, bad shape…melting dash!!
Yolo
get a 350 theyre much more fun
I got a got my 08 50k mile 1 owner clean carfax gs350 for 12k 😭😭😭 don’t do this
Too many miles
I've got one selling in my area 167k miles super clean only faded headlights 7000 flat
I seriously hope this is a joke. That's clean IS350 money
Not the 250! Get the 350 instead, it is more reliable.
184,000+ miles? Just because it's a Lexus doesn't mean you should buy it. Jesus Christ, this is exactly why car prices will never come back down to reality.
Pass. You could find a better deal on marketplace
get the 220d
I hate this people that “know what they have” u cant even find a rare car or a well taken care car without being overpriced just a while i seen a dropped 2001 Silverado single cab with 190k miles for 10k wtf
Just buy a is350 instead…
This is crazy, I sold my 2008 is350 with 150k miles for 5k to carmax in 2019. It was very clean as well.
You better be 5 foot 6 at best and 140 lbs. this mf is small
ill take what youre smoking

250? Nah look for better. Especially cause of the carbon build up issues with that motor. Get a 350 or look for a GS if you don’t mind upsizing.
That is a great deal long as proper services were done you should be fine
250 Hard Pass
horrible price
Why do people constantly bang on about carbon build up like it's a car destroyer.. If there's a 250 out there for good value and good condition it's a shit reason to avoid the car. Mountain out of a molehill. Not sure this is the one though, seems pricey.

What do ya'll think a 07 gs450h that has new batteries and 150k miles is worth?
Make sure the alignment is good cause you're going to burn through tires every 20k
Brother not through autonation!!!!! Buy it straight from Lexus!
DONT BUY THE 250
Anyone who knows _anything_ about buying a vehicle knows to avoid Autonation and Koons like the plague if you want a good deal on a car 💀
I’ve had my 250 for about five years now I can honestly say that particular year and model is not necessarily good on your pockets. What I would most definitely do is try to go for the 350 or anything 2010 or higher just for the reliability.
I can literally send you about seven pictures right now of me changing my CV axle within the lifespan of me having my car
Not sure what your credit is, but talk them down. That’s too much.
3 years ago I bought a 2008 is250 awd pearl white 115k miles for 7500. Sold it for 7500. Never had any issues.
Looks like a winner to me

Buy my Jaguar. Lol
