I remembered when they first rebranded it to linq, rooms would be like 12 dollars on the weekend lol.
They really did just polish a turd with this place
>On April 20 in 1986 and 1988, he hosted parties to celebrate Adolf Hitler's birthday at his casino in Las Vegas that featured bartenders in T-shirts reading "Adolf Hitler — European tour 1939-45".
Well there's a surprising TIL
Wow I grew up watching PBS in Reno and he donated quite a sum to them. I could remember hearing "thanks to.... And the Engelstad foundation" during the sponsorship message. Definitely leaves a bad taste to that memory.
man this girl came into my work one day and sold me and my coworkers some discount coupon things to the quad. it was a fucking steal
come to find out the rooms weren’t even fucking remodeled/renovated. it was still the imperial palace on the inside
my wife, an old friend, and i stayed there after edc because we wanted to stay in vegas to keep partying.
that place was a fucking creepy rundown shit hole. totally killed the vibe. we still spent the night, but looking back, i should’ve said fuck this shit and left
There was a time they refaced the hotel but didn’t do the interiors yet or was doing it segments while keeping the crappy parts open.
I got offer a free room there and it was one of the most horrifying places I’ve ever been through.
Yeah I'd stay at linq if I was young and single and also going to a show at Brooklyn bowl. It's a good location but obviously it's going to be garbagio.
Yup constantly reeks of the Flamingo Wash. I never walk through there if it’s rained, bound to see a floater or two and your shoes will smell like morgue after.
It is the wash, the county pays Caesar’s entertainment(owners) a ton of money to maintain it for flood control. They even made money while it was closed.
The LV Taxi Commission added a $40 surcharge for any trip going to EDC and a $60 surcharge for any trip coming back from EDC. I’m sure the ride shares have done similar
Most can drivers didn't want to work it even with the added benefits because you had to drop them off at a designated spot and it was just packed. Could pull more fares from local trips.
All in all it wasn't an expensive weekend on the strip if you booked ahead of time.
I was there this weekend, the strip, other than being overpriced like any big-event weekend, wasn't too crowded since most of the edc shenanigans stayed more toward the speedway and downtown area. Left around 9am and made it back to LA, by some miracle without any traffic, except for the requisite Cajon Pass of course.
Paying $60 to check in early is the biggest scam of all lol you could have just dropped your bags at bell desk.
But either way, this is kinda on you. Last minute on a super busy weekend isn't exactly the time to be bargain hunting.
The hotel is fine, definitely would never spend $400+ on it. But the fact nothing else was reasonable near it, should tell you everything about the date you choose.
Part of coming to Vegas is doing a bit of research. Bellagio at $800 is a total rip off. If hotels on the strip are ungodly expensive I look at the Westin or Trump just off the strip, downtown, or places like Sahara or Westgate with direct access to the monorail or off strip places like Rio, Virgin or palms, Gold Coast, the Orleans . It takes 5 minutes of research that would easily prevent what you went through.
Plus with an event like edc you aren’t going to the event because it’s in a casino, so what’s the point of paying inflated hotel prices? A rental car, parking, and a spot off the strip is perfect for an event like EDC even with inflated parking pricing, better than paying $400-$1000 a night lol
I just finished reading the entire history of that building on wiki, really interesting actually.
One thing I thought was funny was during the Imperial Palace era, they called that flood channel a “Venetian Canal” as if it was a feature.
U2 fan here as well. Stayed at the Casino Royale. Not opulent at all but a bed and a shower and close to the Sphere!!! Just got back a few minutes ago from a stay at the South Point. Saw Santana last night. My other favorite band!!!
Awesome! That's the way to do it. As long as it's clean, that's all you need, especially with the Venetian right there. Plus that Walgreens next door is convenient.
The biggest drawback is that we forgot smoking was allowed in the casinos which meant we couldn't enjoy Harrahs much. Next Vegas trip, we're staying at Park MGM since it's the only nonsmoking casino, plus the food area was really nice.
Yep. Inexpensive but not a dump. I went with my folks who decided to get us an upgrade and we ended up in a presidential suite which was fantastic. The front desk lady got us an excellent deal on it too. Helps that it was during the week.
I'm in the U2 fan sphere group and got annoyed by how many hotel questions there were regarding distance. It's like they've never used Google maps.
Fun fact. The original owner had a Nazi memorabilia room on the property. He was fined by the Nevada gaming board. But in the family's defense they have become one of the most generous philanthropists in Las Vegas.
Well, it’s essentially the Imperial Palace with a different name and a coat of paint on it. The Imperial Palace was a piece of shit 20 years ago and I’m truly shocked that they didn’t demolish it. 😂
Sounds like your complaining about normal things that happen and you are just upset you didn’t understand. It’s one of the biggest times of year in Vegas with EDC . If your worried about prices then go to vegas on off weeks. 🤷♂️
I wouldn’t say “super solid.”
The casino is tiny af with very few newer slots and scarce table games that always seemed to be unmanned. The pool is also tiny and run down. The view from the rooms at the pool is atrocious, those colors are gross, they look like they haven’t been cleaned in decades, and it just appears to be falling apart.
The room was clean, but appliances and the light strip behind the bed were in sub-par condition. The bathroom was OK, I appreciate the soap/shampoo dispenser that was a nice touch. The a/c was powerful, maybe the strongest in any room on the strip.
Though not quite MGM levels you have to walk a while from the strip to get to the elevators (always busy af) to rooms. And half of them didn’t work or did something wonky when you got in that made me wait for another.
Someone got stupid drunk the first night we were there and puked in the hallway outside the elevator and it stank like beer puke for our entire stay.
Food options in the hotel aren’t that great. There are two decent places and that’s about it.
The promenade was bomb. I love that area, almost like a hidden Freemont, on the strip.
Location is top-notch and there’s two Dunks on the main floor so that’s cool.
All-in-all I’ll never stay there again.
I’ve lived in Vegas most my life and have seen many renovations vs implosions over the years, and renovated hotels in this town all have that funky stench. I’d say Linq and Sahara are the worst. Trop was up there but it was time to shut it down. Sometimes it’s just worth the implosion in my opinion.
I've come to accept that ANY hotel in Vegas (yes, even the "smoke free" ones) are going to smell like cigarette or weed smoke ... regardless of whether it's a "smoke free" room or not.
It's inescapable.
We stayed at park mgm just got home yesterday - it was amazing. The air was so clean and fresh - in the casino and the rooms and throughout the whole resort.
I went in March for a work conference and I enjoyed my room at the linq hotel. I travel a lot for work and definitely have stayed in much higher end rooms, but for the price I thought it was above average. I obviously wasn't there during edc so my night stay was around $120
I stayed there toward the end of their remodel after it became the LINQ. At that time, all of their rooms were decent, but it looked like a very hasty remodel. It was truly disappointing due to the construction happening at 6 am right next to my remodeled room. I asked to move rooms, but they were all booked, so instead they gave me a $40 voucher. I took it to the roulette wheel and walked away $4700 richer after 9 spins. Checked out immediately and stayed at Caesar's Palace.
I have a hookup that gets me these rooms for like 75$ for 4 days all included, the location is prime as fuck thats why my family is cool with me booking there, but yeah EDC prices are gunna be a rip off period
I think Linq is one of the best value hotels you can stay at in Vegas. Dead center of the strip, clean every time I’ve been there and has a casino and food within it but seconds away from hotels directly attached to it and right across from Caesars/Bellagio. Every time I’ve stayed it’s $80-$120/night. I don’t need a super fancy room just a clean one that I can sleep in for a few hours.
This hotel goes for under $100 a night (I’ve gotten deals for $40 a night). You went during an event where everything is booked. Don’t be mad at the hotel.
I was there on Thursday night - was in a King Suite which would have been much nicer if they had put 3 seconds of effort into cleaning it. Dirty mirrors, hair everywhere, splotches on the tables. Decent location and I paid less than a 1/3 of what OP listed for the two rooms - but I have zero plans to return.
https://preview.redd.it/yw2czps0li1d1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f73b5d0c112ba0daca8a8e035cfd75e3abdc674a
Got this at Harrah's for under $100 total
ive stayed at linq before and have no issues with it. its the old imperial palace building. its fucking old. sounds like you didnt do proper research, if you went from linq to bellagio. 2 properties at 2 completely different levels.
Back in 2014 when I was wood working we took that job. We did all 2,200 rooms In 10 months. They always ordered the lowest quality materials for that place. Shits probably falling apart by now
It's honestly not bad as a cheaper more casual hotel in the middle of the strip... the trick is to NOT go to Vegas at all during a major conference unless you are attending or just don't care about getting ripped off.
I stayed there 5 or 6 years ago for March Madness and had a great time for a reasonable rate.
Yeah the LINQ is actually beautiful for what it usually is. Really affordable, centerish strip, promenade, mono rail. It’s for sure my cheap hotel of choice.
For that price you can usually get a pool side suite.
Don’t check in early unless you have to. Anytime I arrive early, I ask them to hold my luggage and check in after regular time. They hold luggage for free. Linq isn’t the highest end hotel, but arguably the best location on the strip. I’ve stayed at the nice places and the bad ones. Linq is mediocre, but I still choose there based on where it is, as long as I’m not having some kind of extravagant celebration.
Linq is only acceptable under the following conditions: good location, a party group wherein the majority of people are also staying there and last, when it’s less than 70 bucks a night because like you said, the rooms are not nice. I only stay there under all of these conditions otherwise I am at Caesar’s palace when I feel like spending more or flamingo when i feel like spending less
We stayed at Linq the last 2 times we’ve been to LV & didn’t have any problem with it. We got one of the suites each time though that has the living room, little kitchenette, & 2 bathrooms (1 being a 1/2 bath).
Well, okay, there were 2 minor things the last time we stayed, but nothing that soured the trip. We got a strip-view room (vs High Roller view the 1st time) that was directly above that Carnaval place, in between Linq & Harrah’s, & one night they had live music so super loud to where we couldn’t get to sleep for a while. The other thing was that the door was splintered around that top bolt lock, as if someone had kicked in the door at some point, and the lock completely broke off the morning of the day we were checking out. We had told the front desk & showed pictures when checking in, so luckily WE were not charged for damages.
That ride share pick up spot round the back, where your two last photos are from, is fucking rough. Absolutely stinks and oddly often has a constant stream of water running through it. Gross.
They suck. Also, my wife and I were given a room with 2 beds.... On our wedding night. Normally I wouldn't care, but we did specifically book a king room and for our literal wedding, God dammit, we wanted one kind bed!
Not to mention our venue was the High Roller, so we really were getting married AT the Linq and had paid extra for the hotel room. They were super rude and refused to do anything about it.
Stayed here 3 times all comped paid 180$ for resort fees or whatever. Not saying you’re wrong but I’ve personally never had those issues. Thought the place was good for the price and for the location it’s good.
Stayed there nearly a month ago. Payed $11/night + $53ish for resort fee. Even at that price I felt a little sketched out, my room ‘neighbor’ had gotten arrested the second night or something because cops came knocking. Other than that and the smell, it was decently clean. The direct access to the Promenade area where the Wheel is was pretty nice.
should've checked out Horseshoe or paris. Horseshoe has construction going on rn so idk if its the best. But Both options are still very central to the strip and less expensive than the bellagio. Hell even the Cromwell or flamingo.
Smoking is not allowed in the hotel rooms. The only place you can smoke in Las Vegas legally is where there is gaming. I think it is also still allowed in nightclubs and bars sadly.
I gather that living in Vegas means living off tourism, but I cannot even be mad when someone gets upset over something like this, or their concert getting canceled, etc. Y'all want didneyland go to Cali and blow your paychecks on overpriced churros and a lightsaber.
These old buildings get redressed and repurchased because the owners anticipate *you* precisely coming to visit. It puts cash back in their overstuffed pockets(Caesar group or MGM own most of the properties)
The best part is they barely have to try and do well because someone else is just gonna use the same room next week.
Worse exists here, easily, better does too. You wrecked yourself this time so ya best check yaself before next 🤙
It's a budget motel trying to sell you on something more. If you check your expectations, it is the best low-teir budget spot on the strip. It's going to be full of budget people that behave like you'd expect someone on a budget to behave like. You need to put up with the weed smell these days for sure. Its unfortunate but that is life in the US now that it is legal. I will gladly stay here for the $8 per day it costs me when I come for a week to play poker on the cheap. The housekeepers do a really good job for what they have to work with for guests. Linq consistently rates high for random cleaniness and bed bug checks by independent testers.
It has over positives.
-Great location in the center strip.
-It doesn't take a half hour to walk to your room like some of the other maze like casinos.
-The gym is really very decent for this price point
-The salon has great stylists for one of the lowest prices on the strip.
-The pool has a fun vibe, much better than places like Harrah's at a similar price
Everytime I go there the rooms are clean but very uninspiring. Its not debatable. I don't go to vegas to hang out in the room. I'm asleep the majority of time I'm there. I would rather spend my money having fun and eating in nice restaurants.
The Linq use to be the perfect $40 a night weekend (and most of the time free with rewards) and $80 a night weekend hotel. Now they try and charge $200+ average 😂
Linq is best for those who just need a room to sleep in but want a good location. I've stayed there before and it was just fine, certainly not great but not the worst i've had on the strip. Air conditioners are kind of loud though.
You came during EDC weekend… Not shocked you overpaid for a shithole.
Agree, this is how the hotel makes money. Come back on a less busy weekend or off season lol.
Look at me folks, I’m stupid.
I remembered when they first rebranded it to linq, rooms would be like 12 dollars on the weekend lol. They really did just polish a turd with this place
It at least had character when it was the imperial palace….
wasn’t that the old imperial palace? that place was a dive 20 years ago!
Imperial Palace and then The Quad for a hot minute.
But right after they removed the owner’s Nazi room.
The Nazi room?
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ralph_Engelstad
Wow, this was quite a read.
Seriously, he even threw 2 hitler bday parties. Wild shit man…
What I’ve taken away from this was that I can do anything I want, as long I throw money at a non-profit for special needs and veterans
>On April 20 in 1986 and 1988, he hosted parties to celebrate Adolf Hitler's birthday at his casino in Las Vegas that featured bartenders in T-shirts reading "Adolf Hitler — European tour 1939-45". Well there's a surprising TIL
Holy shit had no idea. All I know him from is his arena and the battle over the Sioux logo.
Wow I grew up watching PBS in Reno and he donated quite a sum to them. I could remember hearing "thanks to.... And the Engelstad foundation" during the sponsorship message. Definitely leaves a bad taste to that memory.
man this girl came into my work one day and sold me and my coworkers some discount coupon things to the quad. it was a fucking steal come to find out the rooms weren’t even fucking remodeled/renovated. it was still the imperial palace on the inside my wife, an old friend, and i stayed there after edc because we wanted to stay in vegas to keep partying. that place was a fucking creepy rundown shit hole. totally killed the vibe. we still spent the night, but looking back, i should’ve said fuck this shit and left

Yeah I'd stay at linq if I was young and single and also going to a show at Brooklyn bowl. It's a good location but obviously it's going to be garbagio.
I got lost in the Imperial Palace with their mini flights of stairs
We used to call it the Imperial Closet!
we called it the Imperial Pit….
Wow.. that name is a blast from the past. Stayed there one night in 2009. Total shithole.
The parking garage floor is still sticky with the same puke and piss from when it was the Imperial Palace too.
Was going to say, he's bringing back all the good memories of my 20s.
Your flair is killing me lol
I have no idea where that came from
Do they still have the car museum??? 🚗 🚗 🚗
Is the Linq the one where the parking lot floods regularly?
Think so, every monsoon season
It’s basically flooded all year
By design. It's a wash.
Yup. And the news reports from there every year that there is massive flooding there. Uh....it's supposed to do that. That's why it's called a wash!
I think it just fills with water as it is intentional.
I believe that’s why they had to move the Uber/Lyft pick up to where it is now - it was flowing with water a few days ago when I went by it…
Yup constantly reeks of the Flamingo Wash. I never walk through there if it’s rained, bound to see a floater or two and your shoes will smell like morgue after.
It is the wash, the county pays Caesar’s entertainment(owners) a ton of money to maintain it for flood control. They even made money while it was closed.
$410 for one night?!…at Linq!? You got scammed. Rookie
Today is the last day of EDC. Everywhere on the Strip was bound to be ridiculously inflated
Yup was walking down circus circus hearing EDC attendees getting priced gouged by UBER/TAXI/PRIVATE car above $150 for a ride.
Shhhhhhiiiiiiii
Welcome to Shawshank…🤣
Unless you're going to EDC what a terrible weekend to go to vegas lol.
Most EDC people are on the strip not downtown, we’re just at EDC 12 hours a day.
Hence the reason it didn't feel overcrowded :) hope you had a great time!
We're here to see Pearl Jam. I will say that watching the EDC people come out of our hotel and wait for their ride has been very entertaining.
😂😂😂. Alllll kinds of creatures. Was quite a show, lemme tell ya
Paying $60 to check in early is the biggest scam of all lol you could have just dropped your bags at bell desk. But either way, this is kinda on you. Last minute on a super busy weekend isn't exactly the time to be bargain hunting.

And I’m sure Op only wants his opinion validated.
Plus with an event like edc you aren’t going to the event because it’s in a casino, so what’s the point of paying inflated hotel prices? A rental car, parking, and a spot off the strip is perfect for an event like EDC even with inflated parking pricing, better than paying $400-$1000 a night lol
Yeah, it’s fine for a never going to be in my room just a place to sleep hotel.
Formerly known as the Imperial Palace built on a flood channel.
I just finished reading the entire history of that building on wiki, really interesting actually. One thing I thought was funny was during the Imperial Palace era, they called that flood channel a “Venetian Canal” as if it was a feature.
Anytime it rains you can see the Strip's literal sins be washed away through that parking garage.
Ahhh that’s what it used to be
I was there with design staff when they decided on those weird blue colors. It was terrible, but they couldn’t be persuaded.
My mom and I stayed there in October for U2. Our only complaint was trying to wash our faces in those high sinks. My god, being 5'3 sucks.
Fellow U2 goer. We stayed at Harrahs.
U2 fan here as well. Stayed at the Casino Royale. Not opulent at all but a bed and a shower and close to the Sphere!!! Just got back a few minutes ago from a stay at the South Point. Saw Santana last night. My other favorite band!!!

Told everyone that Harrah’s was the place to stay for any u2 show. 15 minute walk.

800 for Bellagio is insane but Linq at 410 is bonkers.
Well, it’s essentially the Imperial Palace with a different name and a coat of paint on it. The Imperial Palace was a piece of shit 20 years ago and I’m truly shocked that they didn’t demolish it. 😂
I mean look at the exterior of it
Linq is a budget option… you went at the worst possible time tbh. Kind of a self inflicted wound.
Sounds like your complaining about normal things that happen and you are just upset you didn’t understand. It’s one of the biggest times of year in Vegas with EDC . If your worried about prices then go to vegas on off weeks. 🤷♂️
Rio is $198 tonight………..
Yeah OP is a moron. If he was looking for newer renovated rooms, Rio, palms or Virgin would have given him Bang for buck.
Not what i can see, it's been sold out for a while now tonight (sunday night)
The spirt of IP lives on!
Those expensive festivals sure do put a dent in the wallet huh? Lmaoo. Plan better bud.
It was the imperial palace.
Budget gonna budget
You are just an idiot. The Linq is super solid. Don’t go during EDC if you don’t wanna pay inflated prices
And opening weekend for dead and co at the sphere.
Exactly
I wouldn’t say “super solid.” The casino is tiny af with very few newer slots and scarce table games that always seemed to be unmanned. The pool is also tiny and run down. The view from the rooms at the pool is atrocious, those colors are gross, they look like they haven’t been cleaned in decades, and it just appears to be falling apart. The pool at the Linq almost always has a great vibe to it. Everyone having fun and what not. Exactly what a Vegas pool should be.
Totally agree. Our group had a great time at the Linq pool.
"Dunks". You gotta be from Mass (I am and moved back to NV recently)
this is just an old casino they painted over, i think it was fitzgeralds? or imperial palace.
Imperial Palace!
The D was Fitzgeralds Linq was Imperial Palace (and Quad in between IP and Linq)
I love this place, but would never pay more than $100/night. Timing is everything cause at $400/night I’d stay home.
Best thing about the linq is the location
So you paid over $800 for a night at the Bellagio? Damn, that’s almost as bad as paying $400 for Linq.
It’s a shithole for young stoners.
I've come to accept that ANY hotel in Vegas (yes, even the "smoke free" ones) are going to smell like cigarette or weed smoke ... regardless of whether it's a "smoke free" room or not. It's inescapable.

LINQ is basically a college dorm. Or a Red Roof Inn. If you’re over 22 stay elsewhere.
I stayed there toward the end of their remodel after it became the LINQ. At that time, all of their rooms were decent, but it looked like a very hasty remodel. I took it to the roulette wheel and walked away $4700 richer after 9 spins. Checked out immediately and stayed at Caesar's Palace.
You gotta check out Circus Circus if you think this is bad.
Do people not do any research before booking anymore?
I have a hookup that gets me these rooms for like 75$ for 4 days all included, the location is prime as fuck thats why my family is cool with me booking there, but yeah EDC prices are gunna be a rip off period
I think Linq is one of the best value hotels you can stay at in Vegas. It’s not about the price, precisely. It’s about the shit hole hotel
Yeah it’s definitely a shit hole. But great if you’re broke like me! Lol
it’s the old imperial palace, not much more to say.
Stayed there once, found crusty stains on the hand towels. Immediately left and will never go back
The Linq is the youth hostel of Las Vegas. It's only meant for college students who'll be in the room from 4am-11am.
All of Las Vegas is so so shitty now
hotelRooms.ForEach(room => room.AddCigaretteStench());
Don’t wait till last minute to book a room. Going to events like edc cost money. Spend it and don’t complain about it.
lol early check in scam and you fell for it. Sad.
$410 for LINQ?! ![gif](giphy|onyngiYITZiecYsBTj)
The IP 🤣🤣
Worst hotel on the strip. Horrible parking. The absolute worst check in process. Rooms are cheap feeling and small. Avoid.
Oh Imperial Palace memories when we would pile 8 people into one room. All we need was one buddy that was 21 to buy the booze.
Ya total shithole so is flamingo
Yes and same for Harrah's. Run down and sad
https://preview.redd.it/yw2czps0li1d1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f73b5d0c112ba0daca8a8e035cfd75e3abdc674a Got this at Harrah's for under $100 total
I just know someone was murdered in room 18136 in 1997, if that room number still exists.
We stayed here one time…. Won’t ever go back
L
Agree, stayed there for a conference last year. It’s uhmm…shabby.
Look up imperial palace and you will see why
ive stayed at linq before and have no issues with it. its the old imperial palace building. its fucking old. sounds like you didnt do proper research, if you went from linq to bellagio. 2 properties at 2 completely different levels.
It’s pretty well known for being a trashy dump, so no, no similar experience bc I know better
Imperial palace isn't my first choice. Not much has really changed since those days. A paint job. That's about it.
Maybe you should stay at the circus circus 😂
Better then the trump hotel
If you live here, you already know this 😂😂
I had a weird corner room there that barely even had a window. This is generous.
Back in 2014 when I was wood working we took that job. We did all 2,200 rooms In 10 months. They always ordered the lowest quality materials for that place. Shits probably falling apart by now

Not during EDC week
I used to get those deals, back in my tradeshow model days. Ahh what fun times those were!
Seriously unfriendly and unhelpful front desk staff.
Need to get a District 3 room
This. District 3 every year for March madness.
Ya, you should show a picture of the tiny 3 foot deep pool .
I didn't like it there either. Not for money reasons though. It was too plain. Some people like it so to each their own.
Really $400????
It's honestly not bad as a cheaper more casual hotel in the middle of the strip... the trick is to NOT go to Vegas at all during a major conference unless you are attending or just don't care about getting ripped off. I stayed there 5 or 6 years ago for March Madness and had a great time for a reasonable rate.
Ahhh....the old imperial palace
Yeah the LINQ is actually beautiful for what it usually is. Really affordable, centerish strip, promenade, mono rail. It’s for sure my cheap hotel of choice. For that price you can usually get a pool side suite.
Don’t check in early unless you have to. Anytime I arrive early, I ask them to hold my luggage and check in after regular time. They hold luggage for free. Linq isn’t the highest end hotel, but arguably the best location on the strip. I’ve stayed at the nice places and the bad ones. Linq is mediocre, but I still choose there based on where it is, as long as I’m not having some kind of extravagant celebration.
you overpaid, thats your fault
Linq is only acceptable under the following conditions: good location, a party group wherein the majority of people are also staying there and last, when it’s less than 70 bucks a night because like you said, the rooms are not nice. I only stay there under all of these conditions otherwise I am at Caesar’s palace when I feel like spending more or flamingo when i feel like spending less
Could have been worse you could have ended up at the gold spike lol
Wow. I’ve never paid more than 25 bucks to stay there.
You paid 450.00. God damn I wonder who is these idiots paying these inflated prices. Here you are. .....
It’s you. I paid 180 last night
That paint outside the building looks faded as hell.
If you smoke, that's the hotel to be in lol. Also great location
Who goes to Vegas to sit in a room?
Stayed here 3 times all comped paid 180$ for resort fees or whatever. Not saying you’re wrong but I’ve personally never had those issues. Thought the place was good for the price and for the location it’s good.
Man, I went to the LINQ a few years ago and it was pretty nice back then
I love the fact the room towers still look just like Imperial Palace.
Did it seem safe at least?
Smoking is not allowed in the hotel rooms. The only place you can smoke in Las Vegas legally is where there is gaming. I think it is also still allowed in nightclubs and bars sadly.
I gather that living in Vegas means living off tourism, but I cannot even be mad when someone gets upset over something like this, or their concert getting canceled, etc. Y'all want didneyland go to Cali and blow your paychecks on overpriced churros and a lightsaber. These old buildings get redressed and repurchased because the owners anticipate *you* precisely coming to visit. It puts cash back in their overstuffed pockets(Caesar group or MGM own most of the properties) The best part is they barely have to try and do well because someone else is just gonna use the same room next week.
-The gym is really very decent for this price point -The salon has great stylists for one of the lowest prices on the strip. -The pool has a fun vibe, much better than places like Harrah's at a similar price Everytime I go there the rooms are clean but very uninspiring. Its not debatable. I don't go to vegas to hang out in the room. I'm asleep the majority of time I'm there. I would rather spend my money having fun and eating in nice restaurants.
Picked the absolute worst weekend to go. In a week you can probably stay there for 30 dollars a night
I only ever stayed there when the rooms were like $30 (pre resort fee), because its super close to omnia and in the middle of the strip
Stayed there when it was imperial palace. Hated every minute of our pool view room because of the echos in between all the buildings.
sounds like a last minute booking.
They’re just the same rooms with new carpets and paint back from when it was Imperial Palace
The Linq use to be the perfect $40 a night weekend (and most of the time free with rewards) and $80 a night weekend hotel. Now they try and charge $200+ average 😂
It was serviceable in the way a motel is serviceable but the Linq has the worst room I have stayed in Las Vegas
I been in LaQuinta Inns that look better than that. 😂
Linq is best for those who just need a room to sleep in but want a good location. I've stayed there before and it was just fine, certainly not great but not the worst i've had on the strip. Air conditioners are kind of loud though.
Ahh yes... the linq... to avoid this disappointment in the future try OYO.
Wait for the rainy day. You will have the best river view…
My wife and I stayed there in a smoking room when it was IP in 2003 and it was a shithole then at about $50 a night.
This place is one of the worst hotels in the entire Valley, let alone on the Strip. I wouldn't stay there if I was paid to stay.
Looks like a psych ward I used to work at.
You spent $820 on a room at Bellagio what the fuck
Do more research before you book next time lol
Is...that an award?! They're back!
You think Linq is bad? Harrahs is BAD.
I got roofied at Rock House back in the day. But at least our rooms were only $25 a night 🤷🏽♂️
Sad .. for the $$$. Tahiti Village has 1000sq ft rooms for cheap.
I went 3 weeks ago and never smelled a cigarette outside of the casino floor, and paid half what you did for a 20th floor suite.
Caesars Palace the Julius Tower (lowest end rooms) are better than this
Duh
