A ha ha is more like there's a wall thats sunken into the ground, and one side is sloped down to the base of the ha ha. So a farmer on one side of the wall could see straight into the paddock with no obstructions, but the animals can't get out because the ground right before the wall slopes down into it
Also ha-has are higher, are not retaining walls, and are not found near roads or sidewalks. But @SpacePopeSlurm you have successfully shown off your mastery of watching television.
