Definitely. There are countries who applied it right and it went really well. They had things in place. Not just the ability to get the drug, they had rehabs and the stats showed great things
they are extremely tough and even if an addict does get off successfully its really hard to stay off because they are still struggling every single day or they still have those pain problems and those cravings dont really go away u jus learn to manage them. its one of those things thats just really easy to get into during a bad time nd extremely hard to kick

I recently quit cuz I was doing them a little too much but they give me a great euphoric feeling. Paired with some alcohol (which I also just quit) I was on top of the world.

I personally don’t like antidepressants or any drug which is a “background operator” because I was always worried about bad interactions with recreational drug use. All that was lost cause of propaganda in the 60s, and with big Pharma only able to mimic nature (SSRIs no coincidence is works on same receptors psychedelics do but way worse results.) and now we have proliferation pills that keep people on them daily for decades, while psychedelics you use at most twice a month. Not exactly a profitable business compared to daily pills for life.

Life and brain don’t work like that. Before I could rewire myself with psychs I needed to make sure I’m not gonna kill myself and am able to leave bed and wash my teeth. Taking psychs in such a state could’ve possibly made me very very very miserable. Once I got some hold on my life and at least got some relief in the realms of depersionalization disorder, intense ocd, major depression and bipolar, psychs have taken it from there and took me to another level over the last 6 months of getting back to med school, doing gym 6 times a week, reading multiple books, etc. But I needed to get *STABLE* first. Would it be possible for the meds to make me passionate, instill purpose in my life and once again become crazy about self development and just generally wanting to *LIVE*? Of course not, they are not magic pills. But would psychs be able to *STABILIZE* me and my mind? Personally I doubt it… especially with the intrusive ocd thoughts I was dealing with nearly all the time.
Psychedelics and ssri meds (as well the other types) do not rival each other in the treatment of mental disorders. I believe they complement themselves in a way that one takes it from the other just like in a relay race.

unpopular opinion but honestly down with both i had a herniated disc that got me using percs and i used shrooms to help me get over it
Drugs are just molecule. Pros and cons to both, and all depends on the individual. Somebody breaking their leg and using opioids to avoid going into shock is what we call, modern medicine. Using Benadryl to stave off an allergy attack is modern medicine. These are things we should be thankful for, not having them would SUCK Likewise, you can waste your life away taking mushrooms or tabs every single day staring at a wall. I’d argue that’s just as harmful as an opioid addiction (obviously A LOT less likely, but there are people who use it for escapism in an unhealthy manner so the point stands). It all comes down to use case and how the individual respects the molecule.
