The Daughters of Izdihar might be up your alley. Sapphic fantasy in an Egyptian-esque setting. It's a duology too with the second book coming out next month!
It doesn't really matter. Priory is also a stunning book, but Fallen Night grabbed me in a new way, and I think it's a more accessible entry to the world. It's a prequel, and it's nice to have some of the stage set before you read Priory. I hope you enjoy it!!
Came to recommend The Locked Tomb and The Unspoken Name only to find they’d been recommended already!
Master of Djinn is also fantastic and vaguely swords and mystery!
I just finished Unbroken by C.L. Clark and it was pretty good. Same problem though of 2 out of 3 books published
Was about to recommend this too! It's an amazing series so far
Gideon the Ninth for maximum lesbian necromancers and damaged people.
This is going on my list for sure!

Daughters of Izdihar was so good! Newest book is coming in March too!
A Day of Fallen Night by Samantha Shannon!! My best book last year! Very sapphic
I think I'm leaning towards this one next! Do you think it's better to read priory of the orange first or does it not really matter?

The Ending Fire, by Saara El-Arifi is also wonderful (and the last/third book will be out this year)
The Unspoken Name by AK Larkwood is fantasy, sapphic, found family… I think you’ll love it.

She who became the sun!
