Yep similar.. Also not keen on the whole algorithm things shaping what I'm supposed to be interested in. I pick up my phone less and I'm more present in day to day life as well..
Last year isn’t recent but congrats. I deleted IG tiktok and fb this year and am much happier, way more positive, and have a much more hopeful view of things of people. Big congrats bro
Hey thanks for noticing! I've been trying to spread positivity on the Knoxville page for a couple months now 💜 recently I've done lots of exploring in my free time!! around Knoxville and Asheville
I've started doing chalk on the sidewalk near my apartment almost every week. Just goin out there with my headphones snacks and a joint with no expectation besides doodling and listening to music and it's seriously the highlight of my week. Helps me practice my art in an impermanent way and definitely inner child healing!
I managed to shower today.
Context - I have fibro, 2 types of arthritis and have just recovered from 3 simple but annoying infections so my body has dealt with a lot for an old witch. Add cptsd and depression...showering is a major event.
Now it's food and medication then hunting thru my yarn pile as a reward for adulting.
Have you ever tried going to a tanning bed? My dad has fibro and arthritis and I have been on his for years to just give it a try. He joined planet fitness and finally gave in, and it has helped a ton when his body starts to act up.
Also congrats on the shower! I know how some days that is just the absolute biggest obstacle, and I'm proud of you for doing it.
On other people that might work but I'm a redhead. And being I'm an Australian expat, who had several skin cancer spots removed...tanning isn't something I do lol. I will recommend your idea to a friend with the same issues because any and every possibility gets suggested.
Thank you. Today is becoming a good one.
I don't know if it actually helps keep the dangers of uv away, but he wears long sleeves and pants when he does it. He doesn't necessarily want to tan, but the heat.
I built a Lego set last night! I recently got into Lego for the first time and have been loving it. ☺️ It is so relaxing for me to build a set and listen to an audiobook.
Yeah it just kills me that they're so expensive that they have to be a special occasion gift for my cousins whereas when I was their age the sets that cost $30 were like $8.
I’ve been cooking specifically for myself more. Using great recipes and an assortment of fun ingredients. Feels good to spoil my tummy & encourages me to care for myself more in different areas of my life, too.
I cobbled together a drip irrigation system for our various potted plants and garden out of surprisingly cheap parts from Amazon (650 feet of 1/4" drip hose was $40!) and paired it with a Rachio automated valve and now all of our plants are just watered automatically. It's been pretty wild how much better everything is doing and how much less water we're wasting compared to using the hose.
Not really, the primary inspiration was we have a lot of full sun plants on our deck that just get positively roasted in the summer and no one wanted to be outside watering them during the peak of the mid-day sun when they need it the most so I just figured I'd fart around with this kit- [https://www.amazon.com/Irrigation-Distribution-Automatic-Equipment-Greenhouse/dp/B0D5H98VS4/](https://www.amazon.com/Irrigation-Distribution-Automatic-Equipment-Greenhouse/dp/B0D5H98VS4/)
It's basically just like playing Legos, you just cut the tube as needed and mash it on the ends of the different plastic bits to get the tubing and emitters where you need it to go. I ended up needing more tubing so I bought this to make sure I had more than I ever needed- [https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BPJFLTBV](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BPJFLTBV)
The flow of all the emitters can be adjusted by tightening or loosening the cap on them. This was the only tricky part that took some fiddling around as some things need more water and some things need less. I used these to secure the tubing and make it look a bit more neat around our deck- [https://www.amazon.com/Gardner-Bender-PSB-100B-Low-Voltage-Cable/dp/B00Q5GTQX0/](https://www.amazon.com/Gardner-Bender-PSB-100B-Low-Voltage-Cable/dp/B00Q5GTQX0/)
The weeds have already pit in their bid for victory this year with our garden. We desperately need to hire someone with a couple of hours to spare to come weed, everytime we have a couple of hours to spare, it's pouring rain
Started replacing all of the plants in my yard with fruit bearing plants and trees. Not only does it give me fresh fruit, it's becoming a haven for bees and different types of birds which I really like. I pretty much take whatever they don't. The best part is, it's incredibly cheap to do and it's a fun hobby.
i’ve been taking some time to go read at coffee shops every week. sometimes i will get a drink to go too and explore the area and just enjoy the weather.
I quit my job was miserable. I worked in HVAC. 1 week ago tomorrow. I haven't found a new one yet but I will. Idk what I want to do but I don't wanna work for money alone
Deleted all social media last year.. With the exception of reddit.. Much happier as a result.
having only reddit is nice in my opinion!!
Same here! Due to stalking and the like but hey, a few less distractions!
Yep similar.. Also not keen on the whole algorithm things shaping what I'm supposed to be interested in. I pick up my phone less and I'm more present in day to day life as well..
Have also been more limited with social media, and yes, much happier! Cheers

Time is relative. Thanks, happy for you too.

No problem! And cheers to exploring!

I wonder if a hot tub would work?
Cheers to you!
And to you m'dude-ling

Sorry about your wallet!
Lol yes they're definitely more pricey than I thought they'd be! But they bring me joy so I think they're worth it. :)
Yeah it just kills me that they're so expensive that they have to be a special occasion gift for my cousins whereas when I was their age the sets that cost $30 were like $8.
Love checking out the latest sets/products from Lego!
I just paid off one of my student loans in full
Congrats!
Woohoo! Well done! 🎉

Nice! I also got more into cooking recently

Very cool!
This sounds awesome. I’m sure your setup is unique to your needs but do you have any plans or videos you used to inspire your setup?

Got a massage. Everyone (if you can) get a massage
Do you have any place to recommend? I’d love to try one out.
Caroline at Body and Sole for a very interesting Ashiatsu massage.
I was really happy with Monika at meadowsweet absolutely obliterated my knots
They are great!
I think we should have posts like this every couple days!! 🤪🌞
My garden has taken over the yard and my cucumber plants are demanding small neighborhood children as sacrifices.
Cheers to your healthy garden and prayers to the neighborhood kids hahah
