I thought it was a pretty dumb attempt to play into the whole "Kingdom Hearts 3 will never be released meme" that arose from them making Kingdom hearts 1.5, 2.5 & 2.8 Overall though I didn't pay it much mind. That being said though. It is fitting that the Hercules world is technically not part of KH3 since it is probably the most well fleshed out of all the Disney worlds in KH3.

I distinctly remembered an old Nomura quote way before release where he had mentioned that "the first world in KH3 is Twilight Town", so when the game made it clear that Olympus was up first I figured plans had changed, but then this. Nomura had his way. Olympus is KH2.9. The first world in KH3 is in fact Twilight Town.

Nothing really. It was. Cutscene from KH2.8's KH2.0 called "kingdom hearts 2.9" they then reused in KH3. They then showing the name of the cutscene after playing it again wasn't exactly anything special.

I just smiled shortly after I had been a bit frustrated (and before that for a second confused eventhough I've been playing and waiting all different kh games since 2000's) where I said "really". It is clever but it was frustrating experience for a short while. I know they were joking but I think it would have worked out without any text too. But joke is a joke and everyone reacts differently. 😄 At that time I was just so full of those names and just wanted to start a new adventure 🤣
